Hotel Valley Ho

Check-in was quick and easy, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the final hours of our stay completely changed our experience. We requested a late checkout to enjoy the pool before our flight, but the bar manager, Jason, made my partner and me feel repeatedly singled out and uncomfortable. We had no issue being asked for ID—the issue was the inconsistent enforcement and his behavior toward us. He repeatedly sent employees over to address us, closely monitored what we were doing, moved our belongings while we were still in the pool, and eventually got in my partner’s face when we asked to speak with the hotel’s main manager. We repeatedly requested that security review the cameras and asked to speak with upper management, but instead we were removed from the property. To this, employees even apologized for how Jason was treating us. As a Hispanic couple, it was difficult not to question why we were receiving a level of scrutiny and hostility that we did not see directed toward other guests. Police were ultimately called, and liquor enforcement was contacted. A good stay was completely overshadowed by poor and unprofessional management during our final hours.

This was a perfect spot to celebrate my friends 30th birthday party. We had so much fun during our stay. Staff were so friendly and treated us like we’ve been going there for years. We enjoyed that it was walking distance to multiple restaurant and bars. We did dine at ZuZu one of the days, which was nice to not leave for a day and stay in the pool. I had the pear spritz at the bar , which was so delicious I had two!

This is a gem of a boutique hotel. Mid-century modern with the inside rooms completely updated to modern amenities. The staff is super attentive, professional and friendly. The valet staff is superb as well. Landscaping is gorgeous and instantly sets the mood into a resort setting amid the old town area of Scottsdale. Excellent location.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Such a great stay at the Valley Ho! I’m here with one of my best friends from college, and we’re catching up after years — this has been the perfect place for it. The hotel is so cool and has such a fun design, but the staff has really made the experience. Kyle at the front desk was incredibly helpful and delightful at check-in and made us feel so welcome right away. Justine took great care of us at the pool yesterday and helped make it such a fun, relaxing afternoon. And this morning, Sharon was our server at breakfast and was absolutely lovely — warm, hospitable, and such a pleasure. Breakfast was delicious too. We’ve just felt really well taken care of the whole time. The combination of the atmosphere, quality of the resort, and genuinely kind staff has made this such a special girls’ getaway. Huge thanks to Kyle, Justine, and Sharon!

Great visit and love the location. What was I thinking, however, going to Scottsdale in August!!! So hot!! I'll be back in April but not August. I loved being able to quickly get to many nice restaurants. I've stayed here five times. I love the feel, history and vintage vibe. Front desk staff were lovely along with pool staff. Staff at the bar inside the hotel.......not so much!!
