Fun retro hotel. Friendly staff. Nice conference rooms. Very good food served at conference lunches and dinner. Quite the trendy pool scene late afternoon. Very good exercise facilities. Rental bikes in hotel style not well maintained, several issues. Spacious rooms with lots of magazines. Pet friendly. Nearby canal walking/bike path. 2am motorcycle noise, likely employee heading home after work given consistency of time of loud noise. Can hear water noise from room next door. At 4:45 each day on top of 2am cycle blast this was annoying. Otherwise really nice.

Everything about this hotel is wonderful. Literally, every single staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful (or tried to be, even when we weren't looking for help). The concierge service was instrumental in helping decide where we should eat around Scottsdale, securing transportation, literally any time we needed it, holding packages we sent to the hotel until we got back, etc. The hotel has the beautiful "Mad Men" 70s retro vibe that holds throughout the property that is fun and modern at the same time. While the menu is small and selective at the ZuZu Café, the food is outstanding! Their Bloody Mary and Mimosa bar was experienced daily and because it was a "bar" it was different every morning. The property has two pools. The "Party Pool" as I called it is where the fun is at. The crowd is younger, more loud, the music is more "thump thump" and finding a spot to veg all day will be more difficult but it's closer to the bar and restaurants. The Quiet pool is where it's at. More for those who just want a sunny place to hang all day and read a good book or chill with friends. I got a poolside room along the Quiet pool and was so delighted every day to walk out of my patio doors and be lounging in 15 steps! It's got lounges in the sun, lounges under umbrellas and the water is the perfect temperature. It's also very close to Old Town so a day of shopping, restaurants, art galleries, etc. ends with a $10 golf cart ride back to the hotel. The room rates can get a bit pricey on the weekends but when you stack the cost up against the service, it's a no-brainer. Worth every penny. I got back last week and already booked the Christmas holiday for me and my husband for 9 days. Why suffer in Chicago December weather when we can rejuvenate at the Hotel Valley Ho!

I stayed at Hotel Valley Ho with my husband and 3 year old daughter this month. It was a great experience! The hotel is a throw-back, retro-style property. There is a 'party pool' that has a Vegas vibe and there's a much quieter, calmer pool with a fountain and small pool good for children. We enjoyed every meal. The spa did not disappoint. There are several restaurants within yards of the property. Old Town is also walking distance making this hotel convenient and fun. The National Sales Manager, Alison, made our stay extra special. Thank you for a great trip!

My husband loves this hotel. Think Oceans Eleven Cool. The hotel interiors, pool and garden are well maintained. We stayed in the tower and our room was very large and had a balcony over looking the pool. The hotel is lively with people enjoying themselves at the bar, restaurant and pool. The first night we slept well. The second night a group came in late in an adjacent room and made a bunch of noise keeping me awake. I called the front desk and they sent someone up to warn them. They quieted down for a short time and then started up again. After a half an hour I called the front desk and they sent a guard and the noise stopped for the rest of the night. In retrospect I should have called right away the first time they made noise and right away again when they started up again. I think the hotel knows how to handle noisy guests, you just need to let them know.

When we arrived at the Hotel Valley Ho, we were well greeted by staff and helped with our luggage to reception. The first night we were assigned to a high floor room that we requested. Little did we know that this particular room was over the air-conditoning, kitchen and laundry. Because my wife sleeps with the balcony door open, we had little sleep. Avoid the back of the hotel at all costs! The next day we requested a change to the other side and had a lovely room overlooking the pool. The bar and restaurant were both very good and we enjoyed having breakfast and lunch outside on the terrace. The last two nights were enjoyable and we slept well.
