Peaceful and pretty

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 10 hours ago

We stayed during the "off" season so it was very peaceful. It was 115°F during the day but felt much cooler walking around the hotel property, the grounds are carefully landscaped and manicured with plenty of shade and healthy greenery. Every detail of the spa, bar, dining area and lounge feels thoughtful and pristine, from the lighting to the architecture.

Great stay, I will be back

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 13 hours ago

Let me start out by saying this hotel is an actual vibe. I will rate everything as I saw it. And honestly I can't wait to go back and stay there again. ATMOSPHERE: hotel is beautiful. The property is lush and blooming with all kinds of fruit, trees and life. We saw that they fed a few cats in the area which to us we thought was really nice but you didn't see them much and then it was abundant with hummingbirds. There is a pool by the front that is definitely a place to hang, especially on the weekends with a live DJ and a very cool vibe. They do also have another pool not too far that is more quiet and does not have a bar or a DJ. The restaurant Zuzu was wonderful! We ate in the evening which was awesome and we also had a small breakfast and lattes in the morning. The adult size pancakes fed for people for $17.. I also want to say that the manager I can't remember her name was amazing, young, vibrant and super nice. ROOMS: we stayed in room 1217 which overlooks the front pool. Even with the party type atmosphere during the day on Saturday and Sunday we could not hear a thing until we went outside so the insulation in the room is super good. The rooms are super clean and very nicely done. Very modern and nice. The only thing I can say is that the little refrigerator they have in the cabinet is full of stuff like Cokes and mini bar stuff so you can't really put any leftovers in there. But overall the room was very nice. STAFF Every single staff member was super friendly and accommodating.. I took a plane from Florida and we got there a little early and this lovely lady said that there was a room available next to the pool but it just didn't have an elevator and I could check in early if I checked into that room, which ended up being a great decision and a great location, so she allowed me to check in 3 hours early without charging extra. Also on the last night my son purchased a movie right before bed that we weren't going to watch and I called down to the front desk and they immediately took it off. That is one thing I can say. Maybe they need to put a code so the kids have to enter something or a birth date before they are able to purchase something. But regardless they helped with that. From the valet to the people at the front desk and the zuzu Cafe and the wonderful guys at the bar at the main pool. Everybody was super accommodating and super nice. HEADS UP: things you don't know are parking fees. There's a parking lot in the back that you can park yourself but it still costs $20 a day and then there is valet which is $28 per day. I think depending on what cards you have they charge $100 per night that you pay for deposit. Also, what was really helpful is they have ice machines that are easily accessible and they have fresh water set up by the pool and in the front so if you needed to refill your water bottle they have that for free. All in all I want to say this place is totally worth the stay. Very centrally located in Scottsdale and beautiful scenery with beautiful updated rooms and great stuff. Thank you to Hotel Valley Ho for a wonderful stay!

Valley of the Ho

We loved this place! Definitely a party atmosphere but also very classy and felt like a true retreat. Really cool art deco late 50’s and early 60’s aesthetic to reflect when the Hotel was built. Zusa has great food on site! Great really kind staff and valet people; would love to come again. Room was clean, modern and quiet.
