This hotel was a perfect location for my friends bachelorette party. Room set up is great for multiple girls getting ready. The pool was trendy and Relaxing at the same time and we enjoyed all the cocktails and food. You can text them any requests such as bring more towels or ice and it comes right to the room! Would def recommend for family, couples and groups

I stayed here for two nights with my adult son. We went to Spring Training. My wife made all the arrangements for us so I didn't know what to expect. All she said was "It's a cool retro hotel". Man, she was right. What she didn't know was that from the moment we checked in, the staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. Remembering our names when they saw us around the hotel is amazing. I asked for a second piece of toast and the waiter was only too happy to get it for me. I could tell the staff is respected for their contribution to the overall guest experience. And they take pride in their work.

The Good: The resort is in a great location - especially if you want to be in Old Town Scottsdale to walk around or get a rickshaw/bike/golfcart to get around. We spent time there as I was hosting a birthday party at The Beverly down the street (also a great option). We were in a Terrace Suite, which was a good size - especially the size of the terrace!! The room was clean, ready for us (we checked in at 6:00pm) and check-in was very fast/easy. The pictures of the hotel will give you a good idea of what to expect... know that it isn't your typical hotel with boring furniture or landscape. It is also a little older and dated... but this adds to the character and charm of the space. It was an enjoyable stay - comfortable bedding, good ammenities/coffee and soaps. We used the pool/hot tub as well - both were clean, staff was friendly. All in all, a great choice if you like the retro style and want the Old Town location. This resort may also appeal more to the younger, 20-45 age group due to location and style. There are certainly much more luxury options in the area, just not right in Old Town. Pics are of the room and rooftop view. Is the value there? Yes, mostly due to the location/convenience of being right in Old Town. The Bad: The only thing I didn't like was the location of our suite... It was on the 2nd floor and overlooked the employee parking lot. There was a wedding being set-up, so the lot was very active. They should consider keeping this room ONLY for upgrades. Due to this, I wouldn't recommend their suites, specifically the Terrance Suite. Go for the tower as you will get a good view and will be a cheaper option. Room service/breakfast was average and not that great for the price - omelets and pancakes. I would recommend to just skip this and head down to the restaurant or to an eatery in Old Town.

The Valley Ho has captured the feel of mid century modern with impressive attention to detail throughout the hotel--in furniture design, color scheme, even the music in its excellent restaurant. Within walking distance of Old Town and the Art District, this place is a genuine find, a welcome change from the adequate but soulless upscale places further north on Scottsdale Avenue. Our room was spacious, the bed comfy, the pools inviting, but best of all were the genuinely friendly staff, from valets and desk clerks to the restaurant staff. They know what they're doing here; this was our first stay, but it won't be our last.

I just completed a quick one night stay in a Signature Tower room. The room was fine, but I would avoid the even numbered rooms as the overlook the parking lot and roof...vs the odd numbered rooms which overlook the pool/courtyard. The Hotel is great. Hotel car was convenient. The location is great for walking into Old Scottsdale and it is very convenient for nightlife. The pool scene is fun, the food is good, and the vibe is great. Perfect place for a guys or girls weekend. I'll return.
