Reviews for Hotel Valley Ho

A lil bit of retro, a lil bit of modern

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 20 hours ago

The location is great, near old town scottsdale where the shops and restaurants are. It’s about a 5 min drive to a 10-15 min walk. It’s a nice and safe area. Parking was a bit expensive with plenty of street parking. The room was quiet and bed was comfortable. The only thing that was a bit off was that I was getting a whiff of a vomit like smell coming from the bathroom sink from time to time and there was visible coffee stains by the bathroom sink as well. The toiletries were nice. I also really enjoyed the shower because it had a powerful shower pressure which I really like in any of my hotel stay. It just gives such an elevated shower experience! The room had nice lighting. A steamer for clothes, hairdryer, good cable, good ac, a safe and Keurig. The patio area is nice and private where you can have coffee or lay out on the lounger. The decor is a lil retro and a lil modern. The pool is a party scene and they do have this during the day in the weekend. If this isn’t your scene, make sure you request a quieter area/room. They also have a quiet pool. Check in and check out is a breeze. Staff were friendly, some were reserved.

Relaxing hotel in Scottsdale

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

Spent a few days here before starting a Canyonlands tour. Arrived late evening after a long flight but the check-in process was swift and smooth. Rooms well appointed and cool. Good restaurant for all meals. The servers (Virj and Sharon) not only talked us through the menu but also gave helpful advice on places we should see in Scottsdale. Thank you! Apart from the noisy main pool, there is also a more secluded quieter pool with welcoming shady area. Good facilities generally, just wish there was a guests laundromat to avoid expensive laundry costs. Scottsdale is a lovely town to visit en route to the Canyonlands. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

Okay stay, good location, front desk folies

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

Not thrilled calling into front desk. Got a fast busy calling front desk from room phone. Then when they did not email my bill after several days, I called in and the "automated" bill send was not working and had to get Lucas to send it to himself and then send me the bill from his account. Automation not so good. THEN I see a mini bar charge which I did not touch and got the runaround to get it removed.

Valley Ho is awesome

Second time staying at the Valley Ho and loved it . Amazing room, great , well maintained and gorgeous property with tons of flowers and birds, great restaurant and bar. We were probably the oldest couple staying at the hotel (mid-late 60s) but didn’t feel out of place . Gym is nice, pool has a “scene” with a bar and special sofas and cabanas to rent, and the property is conveniently located right by Old Town Scottsdale. I didn’t care for the hip music playing at the pool (would have preferred a more diverse mix of sorts), but that’s my own issue.and maybe reflects my personal music tastes. Anyway, would stay there again in a heartbeat and recommend it highly.

Pretty good, but needs some fine tuning!

Hotel is well located, and staff are friendly and helpful. The OH pool is a giant party scene, and if that's what you're looking for, you've found your hotel! Rooms and hotel feel a bit tired and dated, but the lovely staff helps to make up for the things that are lacking.
