Hotel Valley Ho

Clean, comfortable rooms, a well-kept property, and a great location. UNFORTUNATELY, the experience felt overly focused on squeezing out extra fees rather than guest hospitality. The pool was extremely overcrowded due to day-passes being sold, with more than 100 people in the pool, plus many more in loungers, and only ONE BATHROOM STALL available. You can't set your drink down in that crowd, and you can't carry it out to your room, because you will not be allowed back in even if it's just a water. I also felt the pool bar was understaffed, and it shocked me that after going up to bar, standing in line, and ordering one beer, the ticket came with an automatic 20% gratuity added. At check-in, I asked about a specific room location and was simply told I hadn't booked that category, as they continued paperwork with no pause to discuss any room change options. At checkout, I was charged a bellman fee, despite not using the service, plus a housekeeping fee that hadn't been clearly disclosed beforehand. I don't mind paying reasonable fees, but transparency matters, for I had already tipped housekeeping directly. Overall, the hotel has potential, but the constant add-on charges, and day pass crowding without the facilities to keep it sanitary detracted from what could have been a much better stay.

The hotel was in a great location. Hotel room was clean and comfortable. The second smaller pool was perfect for my kids!

We recently stayed at the Valley Ho for three nights — June 4th through June 7th, 2026 — and had a wonderful experience. The staff was fantastic. Scout at the front desk checked us in with a warm welcome, Emma, the ZuZu restaurant manager, checked on us often to make sure everything was perfect, and Kyle at the front desk gave us great nearby restaurant recommendations. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. I requested a poolside King Cabana room a few days before check‑in, and the location we received (Room 4102) was perfect. It was a busy weekend with great music. The pool was very crowded — but honestly, that’s exactly what you should expect from a fun, lively hotel like this. The room itself was excellent, with great lighting and a comfortable workspace for my partner, who needed to get some work done. And the pillows were surprisingly good — so many places under‑invest in pillows, but not here. ZuZu restaurant was also a highlight. The food quality was excellent, and the portion sizes were generous. Overall, I highly recommend the Valley Ho for its vibe, great staff, fun atmosphere, and nice pool.

Best place to stay in Scottsdale! Staff is so friendly never disappointed in the service here. Zuni restaurant has an amazing variety of food. The pool vibe is always great, with lots of good people watching. Highly recommend Hotel Valley Ho to anyone visiting Scottsdale.
