Reviews for Hotel Valley Ho

Main pool closed until January

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 15 hours ago

We booked Thanksgiving again at this hotel. When we arrived we discovered that in the main pool area, their signature attraction, has been converted into a drab brown roller skating rink. The hotel did not disclose this information prior to our arrival - we made reservations 3 months ago. There is also only 1 of the 2 hot tubs open, and it is fenced in with a wooden fence. The one lane oasis pool is available however they insufficiently heated the pool for two day and we were unable to use the pool one entire day because the temperature had lowered into the 60s. It also shifts the entire hotel to having to swim in this tiny pool. Terrible experience, do not recommend. We will not return to this hotel.

What a delightful surprise and wonderful stay!

I have to say, you never know about reviews but the ones for Hotel Valley Ho were spot on. This hotel is quaint with spacious rooms and a fabulous location. We were there over Thanksgiving but had reservations elsewhere. I wish we had stayed for dinner. The place was filled with guests and locals for what seemed to be an incredible hot spot for the holiday. Thanks Hotel Valley Ho. You are an endearing mix of The Brady Bunch and Cuba, fixed in the 50’s but clean and all “ updated”. Keep your charm. We will definitely be back!

Good vibes at Valley Ho

Very well located, well maintained, very friendly staff, good pools, gym machines a bit outdated but ok, parking 28usd is just too much (just park outside and walk a little bit). Zuzu restaurant very nice. Comfy room. Very nice overall

Hotel did not inform us beforehand that one of the pools would be closed for a roller skating rink. On our first night there, they had staff working noisily on the skating rink until 3:00am in the morning. I expected more respect from a $300+/night hotel. I also ordered dessert via room service and was up charged— the website menu listed the cranberry crisp for $13.00 but when I received the bill, it was $16.00 with $4.00 service fee. A.so, the heater smelled awful and was mildew-y. Lastly, upon check out, the front desk employee didn’t even ask not ask me how my stay was.

Anyone would be lucky to stay in this iconic location. Beautiful grounds and lovely staff make this a go to hotel in Arizona.
