Reviews for Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia

Beautiful Property, But Shockingly Poor Service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

I’m giving the Omni two stars because while the property itself is beautiful, the service and communication were extremely disappointing — especially for how expensive this hotel is. I was part of a wedding party and booked my room through the wedding room block. The day before my stay, the hotel reached out to confirm my early arrival for 7:30 a.m., knowing I’d be there getting ready with the bride. When I arrived that morning, I was told my room wasn’t ready yet (understandable), but they promised to let me know as soon as it was. I never heard anything. Hours later, my husband arrived around 2:30 p.m. to check on the room, and it still wasn’t ready. Finally, at 3:00 p.m.—just thirty minutes before the ceremony started—I received a text that the room was ready. At that point, neither of us could check in until after the wedding. After the ceremony, things didn’t get any better. I requested cart service to help me collect my things from the bride’s room, grab my husband’s bags from the car, and bring us to our room. I’m pregnant, my feet were hurting, and the ground was wet from rain, so I really needed the assistance. They said a cart was on the way, but no one ever showed up. This actually happened twice that day — earlier, a bridesmaid and I were also left waiting for a cart that never arrived. When my husband and I finally made it to the front desk, the woman checking us in was rude and completely unhelpful. She didn’t tell us our room number, explain how to get around the property, or provide any kind of welcome or direction. We asked once more for cart service to help us and our luggage, and were again told someone would come — no one ever did. Adding to the frustration, room service was shut off until 5:30 p.m., which made it impossible to order food while we were getting ready earlier in the day. Once we finally made it into our room, the sink was clogged and making a strange dripping sound that was loud enough to wake me up in the middle of the night. On top of that, guests were yelling outside our room late into the night, and the hotel didn’t seem to enforce any kind of noise ordinance. For a hotel that charges premium rates and promotes itself as a luxury property, the experience was well below expectations. Between the lack of communication, dismissive staff, and repeated service failures, this stay was frustrating from start to finish. I would not stay here again and unfortunately can’t recommend it to others.

Omni Resorts: A multifaceted gem

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

My wife and I love this resort and keep coming back. The setting is incredible. The resort itself is beautifully curated. The staff are all very friendly and always seem to intuit what you didn't know you need until they offered it. It's also a 10-15 min walk to incredible hiking. It really is the perfect set up, if you like to indulge while also having great outdoor experiences at your fingertips. We are already planning to come back next year, this time with w/ friends.

Beautiful View

Beautiful resort, friendly staff and loved the two pool options. The grounds had several areas to dip off to and hang out.

Wonderful location for girls trip!

Wonderful girls trip! The hotel is great value for the price. Big rooms, beautiful campus, and helpful staff. They did have some bugs in the room but the hotel engineers came to spray immediately and gave us a room credit!

Fantastic resort. WE went in the off season, August and we had the resort to ourselves. All amenities were open and very clean.
