A lovely hotel, with meticulous grounds, friendly staff and perfect amenities. The Spa experience was fantastic, staff was generous and kind. Best robes, too! There is a whisper room that where you can take a nap after your treatments. It was so amazing. A wonderful stay at the Omni.

My sister lives in Florida and I live in Washington State. We decided to meet in Scottsdale for a girls weekend. We were both super excited and booked spa appointments for the afternoon we arrived. First the good.. Checkin was smooth. We arrived in our room and had a beautiful view of the mountains in building 11. It was quite a distance to the front desk but the golf cart took us the 1st time. We ate in the restaurant for breakfast several days which was amazing and had dinner as well. The food was fantastic. The staff was very attentive. For breakfast I recommend the huevos rancheros (best I have ever had) and for dinner I had the braised short ribs. We spent most of our time during the day at the pool. It was sooo hot! The pavement will burn your feet and even my flip flops were burning hot. I loved that they bring pitchers of water so you can stay hydrated. It is very helpful because the service can be quite slow and you will wait a while for food or drinks. We also thoroughly enjoyed the music at the pool. The chairs were clean and the towels were nice. Now for the NOT so good... The spa.. we were thrilled and both booked massage and facial appointments a month before we arrived. Neither one of us had ever been to the spa at this resort and we thought we were in for a treat. When we checked in there was no one else in the lower lobby. There were 2 people are the desk for checkin. They told us to go up to the top of the stairs.. when other people came in after us they actually got escorted upstairs and shown around... anyway, we wander upstairs and find our way to the locker room. We are given our key to lockers and told we could change and wait in the room for our service. Our facials were both just ok.. she did not explain anything she was doing or what was being put on my skin. I ended up feeling quite anxious through the whole treatment not knowing. I have skin sensitivities and would have appreciated some explanation. The massage was good... after our treatments we explored the spa a little, changed and went downstairs to check out. He asked if we wanted to give gratuity.. we both added on 20%. Later that night we looked at our receipts to discover the spa added 20% already and then we added 20%. We were not told gratuity was being added. The whole experience was so weird.. 40% gratuity had been added on services we didn't even enjoy. When I called the manager he made us feel bad that we would not want to leave a 40% tip..we had them do an adjustment on both of our bills to reflect a standard tip. The other negative was the day I was leaving. I had to leave for airport so I went to my room to change after spending afternoon at pool. When I got to my room the key did not work..the housekeeper would not let me in. Maintenance would also not help or call anyone to help. The house phone did not work so I called the front desk from my cell phone and was told someone would come let me in..I waited 20 minutes. I ended up having to call several times before someone would come. It was a frustrating end to my stay!

The Omni is a delightful, well-maintained resort property with a friendly helpful staff. I stayed here for two nights to attend a work-related conference in September. Unfortunately, I didn't get to make use of the many amenities offered like the spa, the swimming pool, or even the restaurants. The property is sprawling -- 19 buildings as I recall -- so it can take a bit of an effort to find your room upon check-in -- though staff is glad to take you directly to your room. Because of the size of the complex, it may not be the best option for people who have difficulty getting around. The rooms are comfortable and clean but the design aesthetic is somewhat bland to my taste. I did have a cricket visitor one night but that may be among the risks of staying in the desert. The grounds are picturesque. Food at the conference was fresh and good. All in all, a nice property. And an especially good choice for conferences and meetings.

Bugs in the room. Notified clerk at front desk. NO answer. NO apology. NO semblance of working toward a solution. The property is lovely. It's too bad the room was not up to par. The pool staff were attentive.
