Reviews for Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia

Four Nights, Zero Regrets (and Excellent chocolate Cake)

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 9 hours ago

We had a wonderful stay at Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia. The resort is absolutely beautiful—an upscale property with a well-thought-out layout and spacious, comfortable rooms that made it easy to relax as a family. Everything felt refined yet welcoming. The food quality was excellent throughout our stay. We especially enjoyed breakfast at Prado—the dishes were consistently high quality and well prepared. Since we stayed for four nights, I only wish there had been a few more breakfast options to rotate through, but what was available was very good. Dinner at Prado was also a highlight, and the flourless chocolate cake was outstanding—rich, perfectly done, and memorable. Overall, we had a great experience from start to finish. A special mention to Sydney at the front desk—she was phenomenal. At every interaction, she went out of her way to make sure everything was convenient, comfortable, and seamless for our family. Her attention to detail truly elevated our stay. We would absolutely return.

This is not a five-star resort—one star at best.

This is not a five-star resort—one star at best. We stayed three nights in December after booking through Costco Travel. While valet and check-in were smooth, the resort was very dimly lit with little signage, making arrival confusing. The room was not clean: linens smelled used, carpets and drapes appeared dirty, bathroom caulking was missing in multiple areas, and basic amenities like soap and toilet paper were extremely low quality. Noise traveled easily through the adjoining room, which was a major issue. On one morning, we were woken by loud talking and a blaring TV, and on another morning at 6:45 a.m. by an alarm coming from the same adjoining room. We never saw or heard anyone in that room at any other time, which raised concerns about whether it was occupied by a guest. Food and service were also disappointing. The on-site coffee shop staff were rude, the drinks were overpriced and undrinkable, and room service was poor—only the cheesecake was edible. The resort is isolated, requiring a 10–15 minute drive for any food or coffee. The layout is inconvenient, with long walks to parking and frequent obstructions by staff carts. Aside from a beautiful sunset from the balcony, there were no highlights. Overall, poor cleanliness, lack of privacy, noise issues, low-quality food, and subpar service made this stay extremely disappointing.

Wait? This isn’t a 2 star resort?

Charges sent to my room that were not mine? Waiting an hour or more for food and drinks, complete incompetence overall. Very disappointing.

Great Resort!

First time at this resort and blown away but the grounds, amenities and natural views. With Camelback mountain as a backdrop the resort was decorated for the Christmas season. We stayed near the Oasis pool which was quite large and comfortable - and with a bar with a holiday theme. Ate at the “casual” Centro restaurant o night one and very good tacos and beer. Next night did more formal dining on Prada and food and service were outstanding. Service all around was attentive and friendly. All aspects 5 star and would highly recommend if spending time in the Valley.
