We wanted this resort to be wonderful, as it came recommended, however it fell short and sits just about average for us. Scottsdale has a collection of wonderful resorts, this one for us, was not one of them. Overall, could use a good overhaul. Everything, from rooms, restaurants, pools, buildings, was just a bit tired. The mediterranean look of the resort was wonderful, and the grounds were well kept and quite lovely. Staff was average also. The front desk staff were polite but not knowledgable about the packages that were offered on the Omni website, and this was disappointing. Pool staff was very good, prompt, polite, great service. Very nice fitness area with multiple cardio machines and weight machines. Valet staff was very nice, though at bit inexperienced. Covered parking garage, however all parking was at a charge. Some other resorts (including five star resorts) in Scottsdale have free self service parking which is a nice choice. For individuals who drive electric cars there was not a charging station at this resort, which for us was a huge downside. There are charging stations nearby but it takes some effort to find and charge, especially when on vacation.

I didn't experience the same level of service here. I stay in Omni properties often but this was different. I only heard from my loyalty ambassador when I enquirer at the front desk. Normally at other Omni properties, I receive a handwritten note and small welcome plate (fruit, etc...) in my room on the night of arrival. Not here. Only after I inquired. The resort was empty but I never received a room upgrade as I normally do upon check-in. Also the rate description on the web site did not disclose the parking and resort fees that are tacked onto the rate. With those, the rate was not as competitive as initially advertised. It does have nice views and a nice pool but overall, I did not feel the same level of detail as I do at Parker House in Boston or Champions Gate in Florida.

Filthy, non-functional, noisy, beds and pillows that will leave you requiring medical attention, and a staff that says they'd rather be anywhere else! Even if your sheets are stained, they won't change them unless you call them back. Gross, gross, gross. Never to return to this horrible hotel. Do t be fooled by the lovely pictures!

My fiance and me are staycation addicts! We love to experience what others do in our state. Amazing stay was had here and we would come back any time. This hotel offers so much for its price tag. One night or multiple nights either way worth the stay!

I have stayed at Omni Montelucia for the past two years during the Barrett Jackson Scottsdale auction. The location of the hotel is excellent and the facilities are as well. The hotel never seemed to be overly crowded, which makes it even more attractive. The views of Camelback mountain are stunning. If hiking, the shorter, more aggressive trail head for hiking Camelback is less than a mile from the hotel, 3 left turns, then a right into the parking lot. It is well worth hike, and the view at the top is amazing. Breakfast at the hotel is reasonably priced given the quality. "Grandpa Frank" as he calls himself is a very gracious host, who clearly enjoys his role. The valet, while seemingly obvious, is not necessary at this hotel as the parking is very close.
