Don't be fooled by the check in and entrance's quality, the rooms derive from a verily lightly refurbished motel with stains on the wall and carpet and a loud wall-unit AC. I've had to call on a number of issues, from the Las Vegas/frat house pool area thumping with a very loud bass from 11am-6pm to the a broken fridge. Calls have been met with apathy if not hostility. This is an okay 3 star hotel at best... I question what state it was once in to garner a 4 star standard. The Pros are the beautiful landscaping/ exterior and location. If you're here for a bachelor/bachelorette weekend, this is your spot. Otherwise, I'd keep looking.

We chose the Saguaro after looking at many of hotel venues. We loved the bright color décor. The location was perfectly situated within walking distance to everything you could want. Staff was amazing. John, Josh, Tyler, Felicia and so many more were so professional, polite and helped us make our event exceptional. Thank you to Jen Lewis and Sarah Wilson for making this conference a success.

My friends who were getting married in AZ booked their block of guest rooms here. This hotel is super cute and very similar to their location to their Palm Springs counterpart. It's a great location and you can walk into town since it's right there. The rooms are comfortable and clean. We had a room looking out to the pool. It gets PACKED on weekends (especially with our wedding guests in attendance). Had I not been traveling with a bunch of people and wanted a weekend getaway for piece and quiet at the pool, I wouldn't have chosen this place. It's always packed with people and just a fun and active atmosphere. That's a pro and a con. The lobby restaurant is cute and has some yummy options. Bar and tv available for football.

Stayed here for the last 2 nights of our vacation. Room booked was a signature king. When we found our room on the ground floor in block 1 we were very disappointed. The hotel has undergone some refurbishment and this room appeared to have been part done. There is a lot of aluminium used to refurb. Looks a bit cheap. There was a tall cupboard area for storage which we wouldn't choose to use as it was grubby. The bottom part had exposed wires, and we subsequently found that this should have held a fridge. There was a free standing fridge in the room that had seen better days, and took up a lot of space. In room safe was provided, as was a nice coffee machine. The carpet was grubby, and not fitted properly at the door frame. There was a small carpeted patio area with a table and 2 leather type chairs, which were dusty. Small functional bathroom. This room had a connecting door and we were disturbed by the person in the next room and had to ask them to quiet down late at night. The following day we asked to move because of this. The reception staff were very helpful and sorted it quickly. We moved to another signature king on the ground floor in 2 block. This room was a revelation compared to the one we had been in. It was somewhat larger, and although there was still the cheap looking aluminium it was altogether a much nicer room. This is when we found that the small cupboard should have housed the fridge as that is where it was in this room. The one thing missing was an in-room safe. Again small functional bathroom, and small patio area with seating. There is free wifi however we found it very slow and buffering a lot. This was the worst wifi we had all trip. Also you had to login every twenty four hours rather than be on for the duration of your stay. The hotel's location in Scottsdale is excellent for the old town and there are plenty of restaurants and shops in easy walking distance. You can also use the free Scottsdale trolley to get around. We did not eat in the hotel.

I booked this stay through Groupon so I received an insanely low rate. The group on was for a standard guest room. My train on thought was since I was booking such a low rate I would probably get a less than desirable room. I live in the area so I was curious about an early check in. I called around 3 hours prior to their guaranteed check in and asked when the room might be ready. The employee who answered the phone had a great attitude and informed me that my room would be ready whenever I arrived. She also let me know that I had been complimentary upgraded to a pool facing room. You can imagine my surprise since I thought I would be getting the worse room they had. I headed over and was instantly impressed with the property. It was very colorful as you can see from the photos and very clean. The valet was prompt when I pulled up and very friendly. I went to go check in with Mark and he asked the nature of my stay. I also love when they seem actually interested in your particular stay and make small talk. I informed him that I was there celebrating a birthday and without a moment of hesistation he upgraded me to a suite. I was honestly so schocked. We got to the room and it looked like something straight out of a magazine. It was so stylish and cute. We headed down to the pool the next day which was very Instagram worthy haha and the prices of the food and drink was very reasonable for Scottsdale. Overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone!
