Loved this place . Came with the kids ... it's a little desert oasis right next to all kinds of shops and great places to eat . Greeted right away and taken care of . Rooms were clean and designed well . 2 different pools one with a bar (yay) . Loved the cabanas and Covered bed style lounges next to the pool too . Will be returning again this year for sure

It was a brief business trip that brought me to Scottsdale and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised at The Saguaro. The staff was extremely nice and the hotel/grounds were in great condition. Considering the price point, this was a high value selection. The food and drinks were pretty good too.

All I can say is pictures do this place justice! We arrived for check-in and was greeted by one service assistant who was less than eager to welcome us! The hotel's main lobby is clean, updated & gives impression of a nice resort. Smoke and mirrors!!! When receiving key to room we walked through unkept grounds and through other buildings to arrive to our building. We entered the room to discover the "pit" we've put ourselves in for 4 nights! Popcorn ceilings, hard beds, outdated bathroom, dingy tiny bath towels, rough sheets & uncomfortable pillows to name a few!!! The carpet both inside and outside the room was terrible! Nothing ever felt clean! In room safe was old and every time it was used we had to call security to unlock it for us which sometimes took anywhere from 10-30 minutes and that was after you finally got someone to answer the front desk phone! The resort offered bikes free of charge and we did use those although old and rusted! The only reason this "resort" (actually a motel) received 2 stars is because of location and Jamie (the valet attendant). Guess if you tack on a resort fee you get to call yourself a resort!!

I stayed at the Saguaro several years ago and loved it but now, with the recent update and remodel, it's even more attractive and pleasant. The very bright contemporary colors really add to the special flare this uniquely designed hotel has always had. I also I really love the location too. It is right in Old Town Scottsdale within walking distance to great restaurants, shopping, the Entertainment District and Fashion Mall. It's also just a short drive to the Phoenix airport. The staff, from the valets, cleaning staff, front desk and management were all extremely helpful and pleasant. Very attentive. The beds, bathroom, linens are all very clean and comfortable. The pool is very large so it doesn't get too crowded on any particular day. Great pool furniture and a terrific pool bar with a good drink and food menu. I’ll definitely stay there again on my next return to Scottsdale/Phoenix.

The Saguaro may not be well known or affiliated with a hotel chain, but it has everything the other hotels have and for a lower price. Our room was clean and mini-frig was well stocked. It has two pools - one with a quieter atmosphere and a bigger pool with bar. Both have ample lounge chairs and cabanas. The Saguaro is steps away from Old Towne Scottsdale. We were able to walk to all restaurabts and shops. If you don't want to walk the hotel is on the trolley route (trolley is free). When I booked part of my package included resort fees and breakfast buffet. However, they do not have a breakfast buffet. So, they gave me a complimentary two dinner coupon valued up to $60 for their restaurant - it also included tip and gratuity! Staff friendly and accommodating!
