My girlfriends and I were really having a hard time nailing down a place to stay in Scottsdale. An Airbnb just didn't feel right for our short weekend away, we didn't want a sleepy hotel - we wanted a great pool, poolside service and FUN. The Saguaro was most definitely the best decision. Ya, it's older but that is part of the charm, it's eclectic - it's funky, it's bright and it has a really great vibe. We were there for the Cinco de Mayo pool party and we loved it. The DJ's were really great too. If you wanted somewhere quieter you can easily go to the smaller pool - we commented how much fun it would be with a group of 10 or so to just spend the day all together at the smaller pool. The manager is really great, she was even making sure no poolside chairs were being reserved without people being present on the day of the pool party - a super nice touch that some larger resorts could take note of. The location is fantastic and if not walking distance to everywhere you want to go it's just a short Uber ride. I will definitely be back. I think it would be a really fun property to host a big event at. We were also impressed with everything we ordered off the menu, good portions and great for sharing poolside. All of the guests genuinely seemed to be happy and were all so friendly.

Clean and modern rooms, easy parking, excellent service from all staff, great bar, and fabulous pool! Location was perfect! Walking distance to all the action of old town! I was eyeing the cactus pin that the staff wore and asked almost every staff member if I could purchase one! At check out one of the front desk staff offered to give me his pin!!! Word of advice to Saguaro... order those pins in bulk along with your coasters I would have paid for both 😉

I live in the area, and my fiance and I take staycations all the time. I booked at room at this hotel because a friend of mine recommended it. Man am I glad I took her advice! Overall, the experience was awesome! The pools were great! They weren't too crowded, but had enough energy to make us feel like we were at a fun party! We went and had drinks at the bar and the bartender gave us great recommendations for night life in the area. Emily Webster helped us get booked, and she was so helpful and made sure we had everything we needed and wanted. If you are getting away or just doing a staycation like us, you can't go wrong! We will definitely be back!

This is an odd property. The rooms have clearly been updated and are comfortable but some of the decorating choices are a bit strange, such as curtains covering a blank wall instead of using art or photographs. Outside, a rainbow of bright colors have been used to suggest a new, hip hotel/resort but the property is clearly old and looks rather tired; the painted surfaces even appeared dirty. There are at least 3 stories but very few elevators that may or may not be convenient to your particular room which can mean toting luggage up 3 flights of stairs if you are unable to locate one of the "secret" elevators.

We had a great time at the Saguaro. The service and help we received during our event was exceptional and we would gladly host another event there. The venue was beautiful and the food was amazing. The hotel also offered a discounted stay for hosting an event and was very adaptable to any change we might've had during our event.
