The location is good, that is the highlight. There are many more options that offer just as good of a location that keep a higher standard of cleanliness, and upkeep. Staff is nice, not their fault that the place is run down. Rooms with partial renovation beds are decent. Showers weak, rooms cheaply done. Coffee maker didn't work, one lamp didn't work. Outside the hallways are stained and dirty, old carpet, etc... This is a 2.5 star place by most standards. Great fun area.

Stayed at the hotel for 5 nights while attending a corporate event.. loved everything about it. It’s not easy to stand out nowadays in the hotel industry. Common ownership, corporate mergers and constant rebranding have made the majority of hotels appear bland and anonymous. The Saguaro offers a pleasant alternative. The color schemes are bold and somewhat risky. Lots of pinks and yellows but that proves that management is not afraid of taking a risk. For a traveler like me, the risk paid off. I love this “happy” theme. The Arizona Desert is a bleak landscape, with a limited range of natural colors, so this burst of glaring colors makes a nice contrast. The pool is great, service is casual. Will definitely be back

Soooo in love with this hotel, the area is perfect right in the middle so nothing is too far away, the colors and the design just make this hotel that much more amazing. The design of the hotel made the stay that much more amazing. Being there for a photography conference thinking it would be hectic but the staff was so friendly and helpful in getting everything ready to go and helping put on an amazing conference.

Completely mediocre hotel. Rooms are dated and not clean. Our room wreaked of cigarette smoke the first night we got in, and the AC unit continued to pump in horrible smelling air the entire stay. No where to plug in your phone by the bed. The on-site reataraunt is unbelievably overpriced and the food is not that great. Meeting space and the main lobby building are filthy. To top it all off the last two nights we stayed here they threw some sort of "Halloween bash" with thumping DJ music until 2am that could clearly be heard in our room. We paid to stay a hotel, not a club, just stupid. We'll never be back and I'd advise you to find another place to stay.

We stayed at this hotel as part of a business trip early in the week (Mon-Thu). The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room itself was clean and comfortable. The BEST PART - the location to Old Town Scottsdale. It is walking distance from everything and that made it much easier to overlook the fairly run down appearance of the property. The WORST PART - carpeted outdoor hallways seemed to never be quite clean. Food crumbs, wrappers, drink cups, etc., were a common presence in the hallway. Bottom line - the price was VERY high for the totally average accommodations we experienced.
