I've always wanted to visit The Cloister at Sea Island and I finally got there. It is a gorgeous property with true Southern charm and hospitality. Our room was one of the nicest I've ever stayed in. Nice beach and pools. Many activities for adults and kids of all ages. Excellent staff always ready to help. I will definitely return.

This historic Georgia resort does a great job of combining elegance, family fun, luxury and adventure to create a wonderful guest experience. Located just north of the Georgia / Florida line on the Atlantic coast, the property boast wide beaches, beautifully maintained gardens, a world-class spa / salon, range of dining options and lovely buildings and pools. They offer a wide variety of activities, from fishing to shooting, golf to falconry, biking to kayaking - something for everyone. The staff is incredibly friendly and eager to please, without being over-bearing. There is a genuine air of southern hospitality that pervades the place. Our accommodations, a 1 bedroom suite in the main building of The Cloister, were exquisite. Beautifully decorated to balance modern amenities and classic decor and large windows to enjoy the lovely scenery. The main bathroom (double vanities, separate rain shower and soaking tub, closeted toilet) and guest lavatory were beautiful and included lovely products. We loved the slippers put next to our bed at turn-down and the gold coin chocolates on our pillows. It was quiet, cozy and comfortable. While my husband and I were there alone, we saw many multi-generational families enjoying vacations together. From our conversations with them it was apparent that the range of activities and dining options ensure a good experience for people of all ages! (And, being on a weekend get-away without kids, we appreciated that there are adult-only pool options, as well as family areas.) It is spendy, for sure - no bargains to be found here. However, if you have an appreciation for the finer things in life, you will certainly find value in the money you spend at Sea Island. It was a memorable experience and a real treat to stay here.

I attended a conference at the Cloister and was favourably impressed. This is a lovely location and the hotel is likewise beautiful. The hotel support staff were extremely personable and friendly, and the food was amazing. I would certainly recommend this site as a venue. Our event had around 100 people at any given time, involved multiple rooms but just one track.

As a college student, I worked part-time at Sea Island. I know first hand how important exceptional guest interaction is at this resort; However, you truly don't know how magical this place is until you are a guest yourself. Fast-forward some years, after graduating college, I decide to visit Sea Island. The spa is amazing! The restaurants are magnificent! I visited Tavola and The Georgian room and WOW! Some people might say that it is a bit pricey, but it is worth every penny. This will be an experience unlike any other. You have to visit this place at least once in your life! You just must :)

The Cloisters have it all. Gorgeous castle like building with grand lobby, sublime restaurants and beautifully appointed rooms. So much to do! Pool, beach club, bikes, boats, shoppings and the SPA! Awesome adult pool for quiet relaxation. I am coming back here for sure.
