The ocean front room was spacious, comfortable, quiet, and everything I dreamed of. The ground is very well kept, full of blooming flowers, well trimmed trees and curteous staff and crews. The braodwalk to the beach was within walking distance and easily assessible. The restaurants like the Georgian Room served up excellent food with the most friendly staff, and the Italian restaurant, Tarvola was excellent too! Even though this was my second visit to the Cloister, the experience was better each time! I will for sure come back again in a heart beat!

A low-key, elegant and friendly resort. We stayed in an ocean facing apartment rather than the hotel building, but visited the hotel for restaurant and also used the spa building. All top notch. The apartment was beautiful, with all hotel services. Truly a special place to spend time.

Wow! From the moment you pull up this hotel is extraordinary. The staff is just beyond friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is breathtaking. The pool and beach club is perfect for families. My teenagers would disappear all day playing beach volleyball, basketball, swimming, game room, etc. the fitness and tennis centers are top notch. We stayed in the main hotel which is located almost across the street from beach. It's a 2 minute walk, if that. Our balcony overlooking the river was so peaceful in the morning and evening.

I apologize for the lengthy review but there is so much to talk about! This was our first time at the Cloister in Sea Island. This resort has an old world feeling, the main building at the Cloister is elegant and evokes a European flair of refined elegance. We stayed at the Beach Residences, our room was elegantly furnished and incredibly spacious, we had a patio were we enjoyed total privacy. The Residences have a private infinity pool with a jacuzzi, it was tranquil and the view was breathtaking. We had a great time at the beach club, it has everything you can think of and more. Two family pools, water slide, splash pad, zero degree entry pool for little ones, an adults only pool, a playground, game room, ice cream parlor, food court, pool side food and drink service, a restaurant, shops (with great beach attire), kids club, movie theater, basketball court, beach volleyball, beach rentals, catamarans, paddle boards, you think it they have it! It truly has it all! Great tennis facilities. My kids took a shooting lesson at their Shooting School, they received a complimentary baseball cap as a souvenir. Their instructor Blake was very attentive and made it a great experience. Their activities are too many to list them all! They have photographers on site so you can leave your camera at home. We had dinner at Tavola, the food was good! It will review it separately. We hope to return in the near future.

Stayed at The Cloisters for two nights. It's a beautiful hotel, lovely facilities, comfortable beds, great food. Played The Retreat golf course as a part of the gathering. Course was in reasonable shape, but the pro shop and Davis Love Grill staff were unhelpful at best. Locker room toilets were overflowing and unclean. The fore caddy was mediocre. At $180 pp a round plus a minimum $100 caddy gratuity, I'd give this a miss and spend my time enjoying The Cloisters' facilities.
