I've stayed here several times and it is my favorite hotel in Seattle. I love being directly over the water and watching all the ferries, cargo ships, cruise ships etc... lots going on in the sound outside your window. Lovely rooms that really are 5-star! Love it

The hotel and room were excellent. The water view was beautiful and the overall vibe of the place was great. My one real complaint was the Wi-Fi in the room, which was so unstable that I couldn't reliably get work done during my stay. With a solid connection, this would have been a perfect trip.

While the rooms are very simple and comfortable, it is clear that you do not go here for the room, but for the location! The sunrises are incredible and sunsets are very relaxing. The staff are extremely accommodating from the valets, housekeeping, and front desk staff, even the barista’s in their unique coffee shop are extremely pleasant. I had an ocean side room, which was extremely tranquil and very quiet at night with a small but very usable veranda that I enjoyed each morning with coffee. It is unique, eclectic, and has lots of Interesting touches. From sound rooms, to interesting designs in the elevators, you will enjoy it! There also is a well stocked gym, which is always an important amenity for me to stay on track with workouts.

Stayed here for 4 nights. Nice, cozy, old world charm. Room was huge with the equally big bathroom. Classical designed bathtub with matching faucets. I liked every bit of it. Yes the carpet and the furniture was a little dated but that's what legacy hotels are. Just a few suggestions:- 1) Pls include a bottle or 2 of water on check-in. 2) Pressure in the shower wasn't adequate. Will be good if this can be rectified. Seagulls from the window facing water do work as natural alarm provided u r one of those who would like to ditch heating/air conditioning.

Always love staying at this iconic hotel. Only can justify the "splurge" with a meeting, or a good local's discount special
