The Edgewater

The lobby is is gorgeous and cosy however if I’d of know the night train runs every 30 mins right outside the hotel ( so you don’t really get much sleep , it’s so loud and wakes you up every 30mins) I’d of maybe booked somewhere else and just visited for the nice coffee & lobby - my dad who was next door ended up sleeping on the floor in the shower so he could get some sleep! :( and the aircon is reallly loud too but you could still hear the train even with the air con on !!

Had dined at the restaurant multiple times in the past and had a great experience. For our latest cruise, we thought we would enjoy staying at the hotel for a one night stay prior to our cruise. It was the most miserable night I've ever had in a hotel. We turned the air conditioner all the way down and clearly it didn't work as we were all hot all night long. We woke up multiple times throughout the night sweating and could never get comfortable. For the price point of over $800 for a one night stay, this was completely unacceptable. In addition, when we mentioned it to the front desk, there was no concern or care that this had happened. Also, for some reason an additional charge appeared on my credit card a few days after we checked out. There shouldn't have been any additional charge and for all the reasons listed, I would never recommend this hotel.

Big thank you to Noor and Asia, both of whom were so kind and thoughtful during our check-in and stay. We had reserved for two nights but due to a flight delay we were only able to stay one night. They were completely understanding and still made us feel welcome. After checking out, the valet staff were very helpful and called a cab for us to the airport in the middle of the rush of a cruise ship disembarking at the next pier over. The staff make this hotel special! The location is true to its name—right on the water. Stunning views of the bay from the lobby and on-site restaurant with huge windows. Walking distance to great restaurants on the pier, aquarium, whale watching, and the FRS ferries port.

This hotel is not worth the price. We paid extra for the advertised view, only to have it completely blocked by a cruise ship. The entire hallway outside our room smelled strongly of marijuana. When we ordered room service, the server also smelled strongly of marijuana, and the odor lingered in our room after he left. The room itself was not properly maintained. There was black mold in the shower, and the vents were covered in a thick layer of dust. We were also assigned an ADA-accessible room even though we had not requested one. Because we are both tall, the lower fixtures and setup made it difficult to get ready. Overall, the experience did not come close to justifying the cost, and I would not recommend spending your money here.

Location is ok, room was very small for what we were charged. bathroom in the room was good. no table/night stand on one side of the bed. Bar service was terrible. Breakfast was just ok, scrambled eggs were undercooked, ham was extremely salty. Again not worth the value. We won't be back.
