The Edgewater

I’ve loved this hotel for years and have recommended it to so many people—it’s always been such a special place with a beautiful setting and relaxing atmosphere. This stay had some great highlights, but also a few areas that fell short of what I’ve come to expect, especially for the price. The positives first: the ocean view is absolutely gorgeous, the bed was very comfortable, the fireplace added a cozy touch, and the bathroom was clean and well-maintained. We also appreciated that our room was ready earlier than expected. That said, there were a few things that impacted the overall experience. The windows in our ocean-view room were quite dirty, to the point that we had to step out onto the balcony to fully enjoy the view. The WiFi was very slow and unreliable—we weren’t able to stream consistently, and I couldn’t work during our stay because of it. One of the window shades was completely missing, and the blankets didn’t feel as cozy as they have in the past. We also had a bit of a miscommunication prior to arrival. I had called ahead and was told an upgrade to an ocean-view room with a bathtub could be noted and should be available, but upon arrival that wasn’t the case, and the explanation felt a bit unclear. Lastly, while the property is beautiful, there was a noticeable stagnant odor in the main lobby during our stay. I share this feedback because I truly care about this hotel and have always held it in high regard. I hope to see some of these details addressed, as it really has the potential to deliver an exceptional experience again.

Alright everyone… PAY ATTENTION 👀😂 because this is one of the COOLEST hotel experiences EVER!! We are staying at the beautiful Edgewater Hotel and let me just say… this place is PACKED with music history 🎸🔥 First stop on our tour… the legendary suite where The Beatles stayed when they were in town 🎶✨ Because of their insane fame at the time, NO other hotels would take them… but THIS one did 🙌 And now?! They’ve turned that suite into a full-on Beatles museum 🤯 memorabilia, vibes, history… ALL OF IT!! Then it gets even crazier… We learned that Kurt Cobain and Nirvana also stayed here 😱💥 Their suite is completely transformed with: 🎤 Instruments everywhere 🔊 Amps set up around the room 🎟️ Concert tickets & memorabilia 🎶 Even sound-style details like noise barriers on the ceiling It literally feels like stepping into rock history!! AND THEN… 👀 We got to see the Presidential Suite… and let’s just say… ✨ a MAJOR female artist stayed there during her world tour 🤫 and that’s all I’m allowed to say LOL But the pieces they showed us?! ICONIC. This hotel is not just a place to stay… it’s an EXPERIENCE 🎸🏨💫 The history, the stories, the energy… I am OBSESSED!! Wonderful staff and excellent dining at the hotel’s 6/7 restaurant! Nicely appointed city view room but would probably pay the upgrade for the water view next time.. train runs by city view room side of hotel throughout the night so could be an issue if you are a light sleeper. The hvac fan in our room was rather noisy as well but may have only been an issue with that particular room...perfect location to get to all the things to do and see!

This hotel is beautiful. It is well decorated and very clean. The location is close but tucked away from the business of Seattle. The food in excellent and the staff is very nice. We will be back!

Very tired hotel with no dining room for breakfast. Halls are dark and depressing. Our upgrade included a room with a view of the docks. Do not stay here.
