When the property now known as The Fairmont Olympic Hotel, Seattle debuted in the Roaring Twenties, it marked the arrival of the Pacific Northwest – until then, hotels of that caliber were found east of Chicago. It hosted countless galas, debutante balls and presidential visits – JFK stayed here in 1961 – and, in 1979, joined the ranks of the National Register of Historic Places. Italian Renaissance architecture and Old World style meld into a centrally located Seattle landmark that hosts a AAA Four Diamond Award-winning restaurant and one of the city's oldest oyster bars.

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel! The location was perfect — we were able to do everything on foot, which made our trip so enjoyable. The hotel is ideally located right next to the market, the aquarium, and very close to where you take the boat. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better location to enjoy the city! The rooms were beautiful, very comfortable, and everything was perfectly functional. You can tell a lot of thought went into making the stay easy and enjoyable. The kids absolutely loved it and felt comfortable right away. We also had breakfast at the hotel restaurant on our first morning, and it was excellent! Great food, lovely atmosphere, and impeccable service. And last but definitely not least, the staff truly made all the difference: warm, welcoming, and always so kind… they really made us feel at home from the very first moment. What a wonderful team! Overall, it was a wonderful experience from beginning to end, and we would definitely stay here again!

Sonny and Pauline and the Fairmont staff, I wanted to sincerely thank you for making my birthday celebration at The Fairmont Olympic such a memorable and meaningful experience. The thoughtfulness in sending the fruit and cake to my room was incredibly kind and truly appreciated. Thank you so much for the beautiful flowers and birthday card. Sonny, the extra touch of writing the birthday wishes in Arabic meant so much to me, Pauline your name in Arabic was such a personal touch and made the card even more meaningful. The level of hospitality you guys gave me was beyond expectations. The dinner at The George was delicious. Daniel and Ayob were great with us. The birthday dessert was beautiful and the cappuccino Daniel made was perfect! Hotel experience like this are what make a stay unforgettable, and I’m truly grateful for the kindness your hotel staff has shown me. Thank you again for making my birthday so special. Sincerely, Rawhia Husein

This is an amazing hotel. Very beautiful and classic. Came for a weeks vacation and extended for another 6 days. All facilities at the hotel were amazing and very close to Pike Place and The Waterfront. Also short ride on The Monorail to Seattle Center. Above all was the hotel itself and people that work there. From people that opened the front door for me everyday, checked me in, got my coffee in the morning, took care of my extended stay and served me at the bar. I will be returning as my number one place to stay in Seattle.
