The Fairmont Olympic Hotel, Seattle in Seattle, Washington

When the property now known as The Fairmont Olympic Hotel, Seattle debuted in the Roaring Twenties, it marked the arrival of the Pacific Northwest – until then, hotels of that caliber were found east of Chicago. It hosted countless galas, debutante balls and presidential visits – JFK stayed here in 1961 – and, in 1979, joined the ranks of the National Register of Historic Places. Italian Renaissance architecture and Old World style meld into a centrally located Seattle landmark that hosts a AAA Four Diamond Award-winning restaurant and one of the city's oldest oyster bars.

Have a heart-healthy breakfast and traverse Seattle's hills by bike. Cycle the Burke-Gilman trail through the artsy Fremont neighborhood, past Gasworks Park, and alongside spectacular lakefront homes to end at the Chateau Ste. Michelle winery. Sample its signature chardonnay. Back at the hotel, sink into a booth surrounded by original oak paneling and shuck the city’s best seafood.

Very nice hotel located in the heart of Seattle. Very easy to walk almost anywhere. We had 2 small children with us and they were also able to walk the distance to many of the local attractions. If you don't want to walk the hotel does offer a complimentary car service with very knowledgeable drivers. Fantastic stay.

I really enjoyed a recent stay here for two nights in a lovely room with spacious sitting area. The hotel is in great location where you can walk to symphony and theater and museum- as well as shopping and lots of shopping. Staff is very friendly and helpful all over. Enjoyed my first ‘dry’ mani pedi at spa with great technician. Wonderful breakfast in restaurant and good coffee shop too . A small but adequate gym and large hot tub and pool Treat yourselves to a weekend here!

It has been awhile since I been to Seattle and the Fairmont was a great choice! Location is fantastic. I was able to walk to my clients locations, Pike place and shopping. I especially love the services I received from the hotel staff. My room wasn't ready because I arrived early. I was able to freshen up in the health club after a long flight. The rooms are comfortable with all the amenities. It was a great room to retreat to each night after a day of business meetings. My housekeeper Sarah really made me feel special as she refresh my room each day. The Concierge staff was fantastic. Shir and Nancy both give great recommendations. Bill at the front drive greeted me everyday with a smile. The hotel retain its historic charm while having all the modern upgrades and amenities. I can't wait to come back again.

Great staff. I was upgraded after my air conditioning stopped working . great location. Huge construction on one side but staff told me about it before choosing my room. We had a big conferences on site and it was perfect.

We had a great stay here while in Seattle for the weekend. The hotel had great service and was an easy walk to all of the places that we wished to visit. The room was large and bed super comfortable, I'd definitely stay here again.
