Long wait and billing issues

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Hotel 1000 has a great location and most of the staff were very helpful. They did hold my luggage and sent it upstairs when the room was ready, and we were able to wait in the bar area next to the lobby, which I appreciated. However my stay was still below expectations. I arrived around 12:30pm and was told my room wasn't ready due to an upgrade, and I didn't get into my room until 5pm. That's a 4.5 hour wait with no real ETA given for when the upgrade would be ready. I also had two billing issues. At All Water my bill was $66 but I was charged $87, and after checkout I had to call back because credits were not applied correctly to my final folio. Having to chase corrections after I left is not something I experience at other name brand hotels. Service at the front desk was also inconsistent compared to the rest of the team. Because of the long wait and the billing errors, I can only give it 2 stars.

The corner room with a view is worth splurging for!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

We chose this centrally located hotel, and in particular, I wanted a room with a view since this was our first visit to Seattle. I was so pleasantly surprised at how incredible our corner room view was. The room itself was beautifully appointed, very roomy, and the view was spectacular. The location was great we were within walking distance to most of Seattle’s import sites. This is a great, upscale choice if visiting Seattle. And definitely splurge for the corner room.

So so

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

The rooms were clean and comfortable and staff were very friendly. But the hotel didn't exude a 5-star experience with lots of miscommunications. We had booked 2 separate reservations of 1-night each through the AMEX FHR program which included $200 of SPA credit per reservation. We booked 2 SPA appointments since we had 2 reservations, but the front desk told us that we were only allowed one SPA credit if the same people stay in the the same room over the 2 nights even under separate reservations. It was very confusing and unexpected which wasted our time and energy. Plus the front valet told us that Sunday we could park for free all day on the street, but they failed to mentioned that the car needs to be off the street after 9 pm. Our rental car got towed, of course, and costed us several hundreds of dollars. It was not a great experience overall.

Best Hotel for a downtown Seattle Stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

Absolute best location for a downtown hotel. The rooms are amazing - beds are super comfortable. It's very convenient to T-Mobile Park/Lumen Field. This has to be the best hotel for an event at either of those places - it's an easy walk after the game, quiet, but still close to the activities around the Pike Place market. I'd absolutely stay here again.

Disappointing and Inconsistent Service for a Hotel of This Category

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

For a Category 6 hotel, the service was surprisingly inconsistent and, unfortunately, some of the interactions were among the worst I’ve had at a hotel of this level. The biggest issue was communication and staff attitude. I had specifically requested an upgrade to a particular room type, but instead of telling me it was unavailable, the hotel simply assigned me a different room without saying anything. I only realized this after going upstairs and entering the room. If a guest makes a specific request, I would expect the hotel to communicate rather than silently make a different decision. Service requests were also disappointing. I called for a comb, but nothing arrived after the first call. After calling again, the employee who delivered the items seemed impatient, knocked extremely hard on the door, and simply left them on the floor. It felt unnecessarily rude and unprofessional. I had also arranged and confirmed a late checkout in advance, yet staff still came knocking on my door and disturbed my rest. I called again specifically to confirm the late checkout and asked that no one come knocking unnecessarily. The person on the phone did not even acknowledge what I said and simply hung up. The front desk, phone service, and delivery staff all showed very inconsistent levels of professionalism. To be fair, there were also some genuinely warm, friendly, and helpful employees, which made the contrast even more noticeable. The hotel clearly has some excellent staff, but the overall quality varies far too much. For a hotel in this category, I would expect much better communication, more consistent service standards, and basic courtesy across all guest interactions. Management should seriously consider additional staff training—or have some of the less service-oriented employees learn from the team members who actually know how to make guests feel welcome.

Thank you so much for your great staff, food, amenities, and amazing attention to detail including decor, a window in my room that opens, wonderful quality bath products and towels, deep soaking tubs, and two waters in my rental car cup holder when I left! I checked in late at night and left very early for a meeting. I have stayed at MANY hotels in Seattle and yours is by far the best. I will make your hotel my Seattle base from now on. Thanks so much.

My first visit to Seattle and I couldn’t have been happier that we chose to stay with Hotel 1000. The hotel itself is beautiful, the staff were all very friendly and the food in the BOKA lounge was fantastic! I only wish you were in Victoria so I could eat there all the time. The Ahi Tuna Poke was a favorite and the Mac & Cheese was a close second. Lisa was very knowledgeable and friendly and definitely left a positive impression. We enjoyed our evening there so much we came back on our second night there. Our server was very nice as well, unfortunately I do not remember her name. I will be recommending your hotel to everyone and can’t wait to get to come back myself!

I work for Expedia so I stay in Seattle a lot. I always come back to Hotel 1000 mainly because the staff there really make a difference. I came with my family this time and we could not have felt more welcome. They had a wonderful time and felt so comfortable in the hotel, and that is due to the great staff and terrific atmosphere you have in the hotel. You should feel very proud of everyone on your team, they make such a difference to the customers experience of staying in Seattle!

Your customer service and Can Do employees will continue to make your hotel our premier choice when staying in or near Seattle.
