Hotel 1000 Seattle

Oh where to begin.... Having stayed here before, my expectations were pretty high because my first stay here was fantastic. Sadly, my second stay was a colossal let down. 😪 upon arrival the front desk person let me know that I was getting the $100 amex property credit, but even though I had status with Hilton, I would not be getting a Hilton credit (even though I got it last year when I stayed). Ok fine. I asked then if she could split the 2 days of valet charge between my room and another persons room since he was also getting the amex credit. Alas, she stated the amex credit could not be used for valet even though the amex portal clearly states: USD$100 Property credit to be used during your stay. What she also failed to mention was valet was actually more than $70 per day. It was actually $87.40 per day (with tax). A fact I only learned about during check out. She was kind enough to mention a garage I could park at, two blocks away & up a steep hill for less than what the hotel charges. Lovely. I asked if I was going to at least be able to upgrade to another room during my stay (one of the amex perks when available) and she stated she couldn't my first night but could on my 2nd night. OK great. I later learned from another front desk person that there was zero chance of any upgrades as the hotel only had 2 rooms left. No big deal just wished she was honest about it from the beginning. Finally got up to my room (after using an elevator that had a broken screen) and it was disappointing to see how beat up the place. The carpet had numerous stains. The furniture was dented, chipped, and scratched. Not the end of the world but sad considering this is a "4.5" star hotel (per Hilton). The icing on the cake was i couldn't find the room service menu (I had ordered room service during my last stay a year ago) so I called down to ask where I could find it, only to be told they no longer offered room service. The ONLY two highlights was the restaurant down stairs had a fantastic breakfast with stellar staff. And the valet guys were fantastic. One even brought me my cell phone after I forgot it on the wireless charger in the car. I hadnt even realized I left it on there until I went down to lobby and he came running up with it.

This hotel is beautiful, rooms are spacious and have every amenity you need down to the slippers. Ryoka was the absolute best. She took care of us from the minute we checked in, checked in with us throughout our stay and gave us all the best recommendations. Sarah and melody provided a bottle of sparkling wine and chocolate cake for my best friend’s birthday complimentary and straight to the room. The bar rosebay is cozy and cute and the food at all water was great. But the stay was truly made by Ryoka who took the best care of us from the minute we arrived.

Staff takes hospitality seriously! I can’t recommend enough, even to locals. Ryo and Crystal at the front desk went out of their way to find my favorite local newspaper, which not very many hotels do these days. Juan also did some problem solving to figure out how to charge my car, and succeeded with flying colors.

I had a great time at Hotel 1000 Seattle. The staff was very friendly and helped me through numerous requests like catering, room switches, and clarifications based on payment. I want to say a special thank you to Crystal who helped me before I checked in and when I arrived, and also to Heather who continues to provide me with the best information after my stay!

We stayed here for one night on our way back from Japan. We booked via Amex portal with their FHC and got a beautiful upgrade to a corner suite. Dining at the restaurant was amazing- really delicious food! Our servers Aisha and Enyeda were both excellent. Check in was flawless, the room was super clean. I enjoyed looking at the Christmas decorations throughout the hotel. The location is within walking distance to Pike's Place. We plan to be back annually.
