Usually flawless stay…
This is the first time I’ve given the Inn less than 5 stars, and we’ve stayed many times over the past 15-20 years and loved it. As we’ve done in the past, we reserved a view room because we know how amazing they are, and we so looked forward to our stay, especially coming from hot Tx. We made our reservation four months ahead. Upon our arrival at IATM (around 3 pm), there was no one at the Pine street bell stand to help us get our bags inside ( we’re in our 70s) , though inside several bellmen were chatting, and upon check-in we were told there were no view rooms available. (A man taken care of right before us had been insisting on a better room, though it seemed he hadn’t had a reservation.) They said they had a nice room for us and showed us to one with a city view, and a tiny peek at the water. Unacceptable. I went back down and expressed my dismay, given how far out I’d reserved our view room. Joe L took over and magically got us a nice view room. Thanks to him it was a nice stay. But that initial experience had us feeling like second class citizens, something we’d never experienced at IATM before. It was disappointing and I hope never to experience it again.

Beautiful View of Puget Sound
We Love the Inn at the Market and always stay here when we are in Seattle. The new remodel is refreshing and lovely. Walking is easy to Pikes Market and the waterfront.

Not worth the cost, average room, service.
Was charged for valet service, didn't use. The front desk woman was very punchy and unkind. Wasn't worth the ridiculous cost to stay. Rooms simple, and average. The rooftop gathering area doesn't have a bar or ability to purchase a beverage close by to enjoy the ambiance. Would NEVER book again!

A great place in the perfect location for exploring the Market. Take advantage of the terrace on the fifth floor for enjoying takeout and sunset.

Great location and customer service
The location made it easy to walk to the market and many good restaurants. I able to walk to the monorail to get to city center and the needle and Chihuly. My room was on the city side. Even though there was traffic on the road it was muted and did not interfere with sleeping. I was confused about how the shower worked and came down to the front desk for help. A woman who was the head of housekeeping or customer service. was on her way out for the day but stopped and asked if she could help and then followed me up to my room to show me how to change the shower from the wand to the top spray. She could have continued on her way home but stopped to help. Real customer service.

We went to Seattle and stayed at the Inn at the Market in June and loved it. We had this wonderful big suite and the service was wonderful.

We had the fortunate blessing to be able to stay at the Inn at the Market in downtown Seattle in September, 2004. The staff was courteous, helpful and accommodating...The property was beautiful, scenic and strategically located right at Pike's Place Market - the Mecca of an amazing food experience. I would definitely return to the Inn at the Market yearly!

We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay at Inn at the Market. I can't say enough great things about the spacious room, perfect views, amenities, and art deco furnishings. The two things that won our hearts above all else was the service and the location. From the front desk staff to the bellhops and housekeeping, everyone was polite, professional and attentive.
