The hotel was sleek and well kept, and the room we stayed in had a beautiful view into the city. We especially liked the large shower with a detached separate handle. The staff was very helpful in getting us reservations at popular restaurants, and we were impressed by the presence of three good restaurants within the hotel plaza. (Sushi Kashiba had the best sushi we have ever tasted, by the way.) Our main criticism was the cleanliness of the bedding; sometimes the duvet cover would slip off the comforter on the bed, uncovering some small stains. Because the comforter was enclosed, it didn't really affect us, but it was off-putting.

Excellent downtown location. Near Pikes Market, excellent restaurants, and points of interest. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Courtyard is right outside of the front entrance which features a Sushi Restaurant & some small shops. Most places to go are in walking distance or a short Uber ride. This hotel feels like a "Boutique" hotel.

After many years of hearing first hand rave reports from friends we finally had a chance to spend the night here. It is all about the location. A small boutique hotel at the Pike Place Market. Walking distance from best restaurants and shopping and adjacent to Seattle's top tourist attraction, the public market. We rented a premium room with a fabulous view of Seattle's gorgeous waterfront and Puget Sound. When I say premium we paid over $600 with taxes. But it was a special occasion. So why only 4 out of 5 stars? There were absolutely not deals on room prices, we were told that it was their high season and all rooms are booked daily at rack rates. No AAA, no AARP, no membership points, nothing. It is located on a steep incline with no parking. Need to pull over in a no parking zone and turn your car over to staff who will dispose of your car in nearby limited parking facility. Then it is a set of stairs on either side of the building to haul your luggage up or down to the lobby, there were no doormen when we arrived and we had difficulty managing our two small bags. Since the entrances are both on streets with steep inclines it was more difficult, the stairs are at an angle and not level. Inside the lobby we were pleasantly greeted at check-in and were assigned a nice room on a high floor. We schlepped our own bags up to our room. This would not be a handy hotel for anybody with a cane or wheelchair. There are three restaurants adjacent to the hotel, a couple of which are quite good, but one cancelled our reservations on arrival night due to mechanical problems. The second turned out to be good for breakfast and even offered room service. Back to the room: for the price it was on the small side but the view was its top feature. The shower was difficult to work and required reading instructions to operate. The mattress was too soft and covers were either too heavy for summer or to light for the air-conditioned atmosphere. More fresh air would have been preferred to overwhelming air-conditioning. Other than a pleasant interaction with the front desk we saw no other signs of service or hospitality. If you have no desire to visit the market, there is really no other reason to stay here, other high end hotels have views, better parking, more facilities in house and more level streets adjacent for walking.

First stay in Seattle... Great property located at the Market and in the center of everything. From the moment of our arrival we were greeted with warm smiles and friendly, helpful service. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is everything you hoped it would be! The rooms are beautiful and relaxing. Very well outfitted. The housekeeping staff does an excellent job making sure everything is perfect. Our favorite part of the hotel was sipping a glass of wine/cocktail on their beautiful 5th floor deck that overlooks the market and water. The staff at the desk was very helpful in getting us tickets for venues we wanted to explore at a discounted price and made excellent suggestions for dinner reservations! The bellmen were very friendly and helpful also. Great staff! Great Hotel! Great end to a fabulous trip for us! Hope to return again someday!
