About the Hotel

The Sedona landscape invites endless discovery. And The Wilde has its own special way of opening your eyes. Feel it as you relax poolside or by our fire pits in the Grove gardens, where the night sky opens before you. Absorb the feeling as you admire the majesty of Thunder Mountain from the Rangeview Rooftop patio, or experience it at The Wilde Haven Spa, as you unwind after an exhilarating day on the trails. Our spirit comes through in the special details throughout the property, but above all, in our local perspective. Every day, we continue to explore and find new ways to marvel at our surroundings. We’re here to swap stories, share our favorite places or just connect with you as we pour you a glass of wine at Rascal; our new feature restaurant by Chef Mercer Mohr. We’ll see you out here in The Wilde.

Reviews for The Wilde Resort and Spa

Choose your room carefully!

The inner (back buildings courtyard) grounds are lovely with labyrinth, fire pits, beautiful gardens, nice pool and hot tubs and view of Thunder and Doe Mountains. Some nice touches like lavender for your pillow; free evening events on site: we went to drum circle and that was cool. What we didn't like: really thought we had reserved a room with a view and balcony we could sit out; but instead our "suncatcher rock view" # 211, had a view of mountain if you stuck your head way way out and the "balconette" was tiny with no chairs; very disappointed. Also overlooked the pet area so we got to hear dogs barking. The resort is on busy noisy route 89A. If I ever went to Sedona again I would do my best not to stay at any place on 89A. VERY LOUD. The best rooms at Wilde are in the rear buildings around the garden courtyard (where labyrinth and fire pits are). 2nd floor rooms 502-509 have true balconies and great views. Upper rooms 510-518 overlook garden and you can see some of mountain. 1st floor these buildings, rooms 401-418 have nice garden courtyard view and landscaped for patio privacy. You do not get as much noise from highway in these back buildings. Otherwise room was spacious, clean and well tended by friendly staff. There is a nice rooftop with comfy chairs and fire tables (but hard to get anyone to light them). Larger hot tub in rear courtyard hot and great on a cold night! Though parking free there's annoying resort amenities fee.....don't get me started on how offensive I find amenity fees (as if we don't pay enough for rooms as it is! Attached, but separate entity, is Rascal restaurant; you can charge to your room. Food OK but acoustics bad. Check out Sky Ranch Lodge; way up at Sedona airport (but not many planes). Sweeping vies and vortex trail close by! Also if you have a lot of money you might want to try Enchantment Resort in Boynton Canyon. It's a bit shishi but remote and quiet; tucked into canyon far from busy highway and crowds. Went there for lunch. Night sky must be amazing there. Many hiking trails near this place.

Busy location with little resort atmosphere

Cruz made check-in at this resort a breeze. He was able to offer a room upgrade and gave us nice reusable water bottles for the stay. The upgraded room was toward the back of the property on the first floor near the fire pits and meditation garden with a partial mountain view. If you stay in this resort ask for a room at the rear of the property; it is on a busy main street and is not secluded. There wasn't much 'resort' atmosphere. The spa and some parking spaces are across the street from a Safeway. The upgraded room itself was quite spacious with two sinks opposite one another in the bathroom and it was clean. All in all, I don't feel that the Wilde Resort and Spa provided good value at ~$400 per night compared to properties elsewhere in Arizona that I stayed in.

Memorable & Relaxing Experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

All staff were genuinely kind, caring and helpful which was noticeable and much appreciated. Guest satisfaction and attention to detail is something the Wilde Resort & Spa management strongly believe in, and the extra effort pays off to make the difference between a "nice stay" typical of most hotels, and a "truly memorable experience" at the Wilde Resort which you talk about for several days afterwards. Everything from texting us that we can check-in early, to our time spent at the spa, a great room (my wife and I had a King suite), an amazing breakfast at the resort's Rascal restaurant, to checkout was truly a restful & relaxing get-away. Just the experience that you always hope for, but don't always receive, even at highly rated hotels. If you are in need of a real break from the grind and some down time to kick back and destress, we highly recommend the Wilde Resort & Spa. They'll show you how it's done. Max.

Second time here

Location is fabulous & very close to super market & the famous sedonuts - Our room was pleasant, very clean & warm - only issue was the mattress definitely needs to be replaced, it was flat and uncomfortable, not like a previous room I stayed in. Bathroom was clean, overall a pleasant stay.

Go to the SPA

This was a great place for a girls spa trip. We booked a room in the SPA building that came with a SPA credit, and it was worth it. The SPA is amazing and our treatments and providers were excellent. We had: Sedona's Warm Embrace and I highly recommend it! We ended up with a suite which was big and clean and seemed brand new. We did eat at Rascal's for dinner, which was delicious. We also attended a free morning yoga. There were also some other free wellness events, but we didn't wake up early enough for those or the nighttime stargazing. The location is easy to find as it's right off of the main highway but that does bring street noise. It's also right next to a Safeway grocery store so you don't get the feeling you're in nature, but we ended up going to the store and getting snacks, so that was convenient. Compared to the other Sedona resorts with spas's this is an excellent value. Also good for kids and couples. There's an adult jacuzzi and regular pool and jacuzzi. Also cool fire pits at night.
