With the mystical rust-red rocks as a backdrop, elegant Sedona Rouge Hotel & Spa is at home in a contemporary adobe-style building. Completely devoid of kitschy clichés, interiors of this intimate boutique hotel pick up on the modern aspects of Southwestern design meshing it with traditional Moorish flair. A mod burbling fountain anchors the lobby while the courtyard is covered in green desert-hardy plants - an inviting pool at its center. The 72 guest rooms and suites are sleekly furnished following along the lines of the Spanish-Moroccan theme sporting splashes of eye-catching dark reds with luxurious bedding and private patios or balconies. Among the standard plush amenities are flat-screen televisions, complimentary wireless Internet, a petite fridge, and gourmet coffee service. The spacious bathrooms are kitted out with super soft cotton towels, large walk-in rain showers and dual showerheads.

Or indulge in a visit to the resort's sizable spa where the earthy color palette mirrors Sedona's natural surroundings. The cutting edge wellness center features a Tranquility Room, steam rooms, and, in light of Sedona's famed vortex sites, intuitive services such as Tarot readings and spiritual acupuncture. Expert therapists administer detoxifying herbal wraps, invigorating scrubs or healing massages like myofascial bodywork and Hawaiian-inspired Lomi-Lomi. On balmy nights savor panoramic canyon views from around the fire pit on the hotel's rooftop terrace. Get there early to glimpse the dramatic color spectacle at sunset. Later, arrange for a table in the bamboo garden area at locally popular on-site REDS Restaurant & Bar where Executive Chef Ron Moler prepares upscale comfort food hailing from his native Tucson. Tuck into braised pork Kahrabi ribs with Burgundy fig risotto or butternut squash ravioli to the subdued sounds of live music on select evenings. This was our first trip to Sedona and we will definitely be back! The Sedona Rouge exceeded our expectations in every way and we enjoyed every aspect of our stay. The room was very clean, spacious, and the bed was so comfortable. We went to Reds, the restaurant attached to the hotel, for breakfast and the food was amazing! The hotel is located near a lot of really great restaurants, which gave us a lot of easy options to chose from. I would highly recommend the Sedona Rouge to anyone traveling to Sedona! We look forward to our next visit!

Before arriving, I was in touch with management, whom were super helpful with our reservation requests. Then, when we arrived (very late due to a delayed plan), the front office did a great job getting us situated quickly. The food at the hotel was good, the spa was solid, and location is perfectly in the middle of all of Sedona, making it easy to go north / south without problems.

We arrived in Sedona early morning. While we were aware that the check in is later in the afternoon, the staff at the reception were so insistent that the check in can happen only at 3pm..Being in the hospitality industry myself, i would have expected them to clean one room for elderly people like us. Further on check in we find a bottle of wine in the room labelled with the compliments of front office. We thought that's nice.Later on we realised that it had been ordered and paid for by our children, and the hotel had the audacity to send it to us as their compliments!.When confronted, the front office staff just said sorry and that they will look into it..To add to the misery, the door of the room would not lock, and had to be pushed forcefully to lock. The attitude of the staff throughout was one of indifference, and could do with some serious customer I am sure there are far better hotels in Sedona for the same price range.

Spent a long girls' weekend at Sedona Rouge in January...the perfect place for our trip! Morning yoga, breakfast at Reds, Pink Jeep tour (set up by Sedona Rouge's concierge), lounging in the hot tub, having wine by the fire pit -- and that was just our first day! The spa was relaxing, the staff was delightful, the location is perfectly situated to get to all of Sedona's attractions. Can't wait to go back!

My wife and I have visited Sedona in the past on day trips however we were looking for a 2 - 3 day get-away. We were attracked to the Sedona Rouge based on the various packages they offer and other reviews, including friends who had previously visited. We chose the 2-night Wine Tour package arriving on Valentines Day. We booked in November and were glad we did. This boutique hotel books up early and was when we were there. Their restaurant Reds has both a lounge and dining area, including 2 Harvest tables which were full each night with a group of hikers. We received an email from the Concierge a month before our arrival confirming our Wine Tour booking, and we booked a table for Valentines evening. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly and both the wine tour and dinner reservations were confirmed. We stayed in a Premium room which had a spacious sitting area including a fireplace which we used both evenings. Location of hotel is in the non-touristy area of West Sedona centrally located with many amenities within walking distance including a superb Italian restaurant (Dahl & Di Luca) where we joined new friends from the wine tour for dinner. The wine tour (Sedona Wine Tours) was well organized with visits to 4 wineries / vineyards. Picked us up at the door promptly at 11:00, returning at 5:00. All in all,
