The hotel/spa are located on the main street of West Sedona (the more commercial less tourist area of Sedona). The views are not there nor does the setting say "upscale and tranquil". I would highly recommend staying in Uptown Sedona or Village of Oak Creek. We did NOT use the spa so I cannot comment, but it was not located in the same building so my understanding is that you would have to go outside to get to the spa. The hotel was clean but the service was less than stellar. Not very attentive and it took an hour to have a bottle of champagne and a cheese plate delivered to the room (they said 15 minutes). For the amount of money they charge, I would have expected the staff to be more attentive and provide little perks. - We did not have any shampoo in the bathroom and when we asked at the front desk, they provided us with one small bottle and said they would send another (they did not). - When asking about the more artistic/quaint areas to visit locally, they could not explain that there were other local towns (uptown Sedona, Village of Oak Creek) less than 5 minutes away. They said the main drag was the only "Sedona". - When asked to have a late checkout they explained that they were fully booked and could add 30 minutes providing us a late checkout of 11:30. When we explained that all we needed was a place to shower, they offered us the spa showers for $15/person. I had just paid $1200 for our stay and they wanted to now charge me another $30 so we could use one shower? Not very accommodating or service oriented.

We stayed here in 2015 and loved it. While there are many options in Sedona to choose from, we like the Rouge. This visit presented a few challenges but the staff made it right, going out of their way to make sure we were well taken care of. Rooms are simple, yet comfy. The new building and outside area are are lovely. The beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms are roomy. Mini fridge in room. Location is good. Give it a try!

We live in Phoenix and try to get up to Sedona once or twice a year. Once we found Sedona Rouge, we stopped looking elsewhere! We have now been here four times and will continue to make this our first choice. We have actually changed vacation days to ensure that we could stay at the Sedona Rouge versus anywhere else. We always feel welcomed when we arrive. We don't have to wait long to check in and our room is ready for us. Of course, its clean, comfortable, and has a great overall atmosphere.

Stayed at Sedona Rouge with a group of 10 girlfriends for a spa weekend getaway and we had the most amazing time. The rooms were large, clean and nice. The restaurant was top notch. We dined there every night. As part of our package we had spa treatments and they were amazing. It was such a relaxing time. We will definitely come back.

* Price: can be pricey depending on the travel season. We booked the place at the last minute, so it was about $315 for one night. 3 star. * accommodation: spacious room with in-room fridge, coffee maker and supplies, A/C, fire place, free WiFi with password, pet friendly, spa and restaurant on site, pool. 4 star. * location: close to restaurants and shopping strip. 4 star. * Motif: southwest craft man style, very rustic and cute. Courtyard with fountain and nice seating area in observation deck. 4 star. * Service: we only stayed one night here, did not use their spa or restaurant. The check-in staff was nice and friendly. 4 star. This is averaged to 4 star. We were looking for pet friendly hotel on the way from Las Vegas to Grand Canyon. We found this place on TripAdvisor with reasonable price ($900 at Enchanment resort, other same class hotels are fully booked!) Our first impression of the place is their courtyard with fountain and fire torches which are very soothing. Our room is on the third floor look out to the observation deck... So we could not leave the curtain opened for privacy. The bathroom is pretty cute with standing shower. Fireplace in room is a nice touch. The bed is very comfy. Our kitty enjoys the view of fireplace from the big bed! Positive things: nice spacious and clean room, fire place, relaxing surrounding. Their lemon mint bar soap is the best soap we tried so far. There is elevator to second and third floor so you don't have to lift your luggage. Location is closed to main strip. Negative: Observation deck is very closed to rooms... Lack of privacy. There is no shampoo or conditioner provided. So bring your own. Overall, we had a good night sleep here. It is hard to find a nice clean place in small town while you are on the road. For this, I probably will give them closed to 5 star. However, it is not quite comparable with hotels in other similar areas like the Hyatt Regwncy in Palm Spring and Palm Desert, CA or Kaanapali in Maui. Therefore, I rated it as 4 star. Yes, we will return and stay longer next time.
