The Wilde Resort and Spa

Terrible scheduling practices. After multiple emails back and forth over the span of a weekend where they'd tell me they had appts avail for my group of 4 ladies they gave away our appts twice.

We went to the Wilde to celebrate a birthday . We imagined a fun spa weekend get a way with the girls nestled in the red rocks . We had made reservations at Rascals for dinner to celebrate the birthday girl . Upon arrival we were surprised that we were next door to a smart n final shopping center . We were actually surprised that Rascals was more like a cafe . We wanted more of an elevated dining experience like the website shared . Jeffrey was our server for breakfast and he was great. We checked into the spa and were disappointed . I felt like I was in a gym locker room at an athletic club . The room was tiny . There were only two showers and a tiny steam room. There were no spa ammenities . Our pool key didn’t work so the janitor had to let us in the pool. We were told the pool bar wasn’t open until 12:30 so we had to go back to the restaurant to get drinks to go. There was no wait staff at the pool so if you wanted food you had to order to-go from the restaurant . There was no pool / spa cafe . The next morning we wanted lattes/ espresso. We had to walk to the shopping center donut store to get lattes . We weren’t the only ones . We saw guests walking back to hotel with their Starbucks from across the street. We also wanted to join the 9 am yoga class that we thought was going to be outside in beautiful grove . Yoga was held inside a random hot dusty lobby. There was not enough room for us 4 so we grabbed yoga mats and went outside and held our own yoga session on the grass with beautiful views . We did have an amazing sound bath session with Emily. She was by far the friendliest person. Our sessions with her was fun and relaxing . I’d have to say the sound bath room was not sound bath appropriate . It was located in what seemed like a storage room. But it was a great experience . Our room overlooked the grove and the labyrinth . We had a gorgeous view of the red rocks. We spent time in our robes with our champagne out by the fire pits and hammocks . Our room was very spacious for us 4 girls . Overall we had a great experience but I would try a different place next time that had a better spa and customer service . It didn’t quite meet my expectations but we still had a great time

Like staying at a dog park…Lots of dogs here during our 2 night stay in a grove patio room. Dogs roamed up to us off leash, and some dogs used the lawn in front of our patio to do their business. Having a dog poop in front of your patio chairs while sipping wine and enjoying the view is gross.

We spent a couple of nights at this hotel. Checking in was easy. The gentleman at the desk told us we had a very nice room on the first floor which overlooked a beautiful garden. Truthfully it was the dogs garden. We got to watch all the dogs taking a 💩. And having some of them come onto our small patio. That was a very big disappointment. The location of this place is perfect and close to restaurants and grocery. A two minute walk out of the hotel is a GREAT breakfast place called The Coffee Pot. Fantastic food. Hearty portions. And great staff and owner. Home to the famous 101 omelettes!! Pancakes as big as the plate. We had dinner and cocktails at Rascal on the premises. Very good and attentive wait staff. The filet was excellent. As were the shrimp and grits. Great Old Fashion cocktails. The room was nice, clean and comfortable. The AC was a bit loud. And a bright light comes off of it which CAN be shut off. Someone came over to show us how. Overall even with the minor issues we would definitely return, but would make sure we had a better room away from the dog area.
