With the mystical rust-red rocks as a backdrop, elegant Sedona Rouge Hotel & Spa is at home in a contemporary adobe-style building. Completely devoid of kitschy clichés, interiors of this intimate boutique hotel pick up on the modern aspects of Southwestern design meshing it with traditional Moorish flair. A mod burbling fountain anchors the lobby while the courtyard is covered in green desert-hardy plants - an inviting pool at its center. The 72 guest rooms and suites are sleekly furnished following along the lines of the Spanish-Moroccan theme sporting splashes of eye-catching dark reds with luxurious bedding and private patios or balconies. Among the standard plush amenities are flat-screen televisions, complimentary wireless Internet, a petite fridge, and gourmet coffee service. On balmy nights savor panoramic canyon views from around the fire pit on the hotel's rooftop terrace. Get there early to glimpse the dramatic color spectacle at sunset. Later, arrange for a table in the bamboo garden area at locally popular on-site REDS Restaurant & Bar where Executive Chef Ron Moler prepares upscale comfort food hailing from his native Tucson. Great place to stay while visiting Sedona and area. On 89A but not in the middle of the tourist area. Able to walk to restaurants and early morning coffee at Starbucks. Rooms are nice , comfortable and we were given a bottle of wine and food ( chicken wraps and cheese and cracker plate ) in the refrigerator upon arrival. Very much appreciated since we came in very late from the airport. The pool area is small but pleasant. Just wish they had rules about no diapered kids in the pool and def no kids in the hot tub! Didn't go in because of this. There is a fire pit area to sit by in evening. Rooms have balconies but would prefer more privacy between neighboring balconies. Spa facility I would rate as very basic, although treatments were good and staff quite nice and good. Would recommend this Hotel.

I was very happy with this hotel. I liked being in West Sedona, away from the traffic and crowds downtown. The hotel faces a busy highway but our room was quiet and comfortable. We walked to several restaurants in the area (Dahl and DeLucca, Cafe Jose and Coffee Pot, all enjoyable meals). If you are hiking you will likely need a Red Rock permit ($5/day) which can be purchased at the nearby Safeway, rather that using the machines in the parking lots(They have been known to eat your money!). The staff at the hotel go out of their way to be helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the fire pit at night and the free appetizer at happy hour. I wished I had more time to use the pool, etc. I would definitely return to Sedona Rouge.

Everything went well for the 3 nights we stayed at this property. Clean room, hospitable staff, good onsite restaurant with breakfast, nice pool. When we were ready to check out, they charged us tax, for a price from TripAdvisor, that I showed an email copy of, that clearly stated that tax was already included in my price. Instead the supervisor for the morning said that the email was not from Sedona Rouge, when it clearly showed so, but from TA. She said it would be "illegal" for her to reverse the taxes that needed to be paid. When I told her it was illegal for them to charge me tax twice, she simply stated we sent you another email. I pointed that the integration that they had with TA was clearly flawed. She said you should book directly from us, not from TA. So now I wonder if TA should even bother providing the ability to book on their site. They made it TA's problem, not theirs, and went ahead and double charged me the tax. I did a test booking with TA for the same property, a month out, and it clearly shows that the tax is charged, and included in the total price quote to the customer. They simply didn't care to make me whole. Unfortunately, this is my first and last stay at this property as a result.

We stayed here as the groom had suggested. This place is nicely decorated, our room was bigger than our friends ( room 140) nice bathrooms very clean. Staff are nice. The best things about this place is their roof top patio and there proximity to Safeway (which sells beer and alcohal) we spent a lot of time on the rooftop patio under the clear night sky and the warmth radiating from the fire pits. I really appreciated the fridge in the room, and it's conveniently located within walking distance of shops cafe and eateries.
