So accommodating! And the restaurant onsite is amazing. Everything we ate was delicious and filling. Beautiful outdoor area with hammock and firepits.

Rooms were quite nice and the beds/pillows were awesome! Restaurant awesome. Sitting by the fire pits in the mornings and evening…heavenly.

Beautiful Resort with great amenities!

This was our second time at The Wilde. We love the location-close to trails and shopping. Rascals is usually one of our fav restaurants while in Sedona and it is on location. The rooms are nice and comfortable with adjustable a/c and heat. Quiet and darkened. We enjoy the fire pits around the property and the pool and hot tubs as well!

Disappointed in property + staff; definitely not the top hotel in Sedona

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

We stayed at the Wilde a few weeks ago, and selected this hotel over other high end hotels in Sedona based on the incredible reviews. Our experience was incredibly disappointing and we regret the decision to stay at the Wilde vs. other properties. We would not stay here again nor recommend it to others. For what it's worth, I heard 3 other couples at the pool describing their disappointment in the property and staff, so it seems as though this is a widespread challenge. First, the property is not nearly as nice as the photos on the website would lead you to believe. I had read that it felt like it was located in a strip mall, next to a Safeway, and we definitely experienced that vibe. Many of the rooms are right on a busy street, while others overlook a Safeway parking lot (as others have noted). Overall, the property is smaller than I expected with far less green / natural space. Second, and perhaps more importantly, I had occasion to interact with 4 or 5 members of the front desk, and every single interaction was poor. The service we received, consistently, was what we would expect from a Best Western or La Quinta, not a nice resort. I stay about 80 hotel nights per year, and have stayed at over a dozen different hotel properties this year, from low end (Best Western) to high end (Ritz Carlton, Andaz, etc), and the service I received across every single member of the front desk staff was among the poorest I've received. When we checked in, I asked if there were any quiet rooms available - that being our #1 goal above views, etc. They put us right on top of the pool, and said that the noise may come from kids playing. I have no problems with the noise of children playing, but the Cancun all-inclusive style music and DJ blaring music all day was crazy. I was surprised that the staff didn't mention that given my goal. I can't imagine that most of the people staying at that property are looking for music that's so loud it's hard to talk or relax at the pool, but I may be wrong. After 2 days, the front desk was able to move us to a ground floor property in the front building, which was much quieter and better. They were very put off by the request however, which added to our disappointment in the stay. Finally, we were mischarged on our bill (charged for a movie dated before we even checked in) which was a pain to rectify.
