This is a very nice and relatively quiet hotel on seven mile beach in grand cayman. The location is excellent and the service is very good. Additionally, the Caribbean Club beach is not nearly as crowded as many other places on the beach. However, this hotel feels much more like a four star than a five star hotel. The amenities (gym, appointments, wifi, air conditioning, etc) are far below a typical five star hotel. The only true five star hotel on the island is the Ritz Carlton. The Ritz is beautiful, but quite crowded. Additionally, the 3 bedroom suites at the Caribbean Club are quite spacious. The view is exceptional as well. All in all, a nice play to stay, but NOT a five star hotel.

Upon arriving to The Caribbean Club I knew I was in for an incredible experience based upon the photos and friends having stayed there, but it surpassed any expectation I had! The rooms, the view, the kitchen amenities we all 5 star but I think it was the attention to detail that took it to an even higher rating. I was celebrating my birthday with some girlfriends and that was overheard when we checked in. Needless to say when a personalized birthday cake (tasted as good as it looked, I might add!) arrived in my room on my birthday I was blown away. You don't need to stay at The Ritz Carleton to get this level of service. Look no further than the Caribbean Club!

The beautiful tile floors are so filthy that you can't walk barefoot without blackening the soles of your feet. There are abundant ARTIFICIAL TROPICAL PLANTS AND TREES throughout. How can you decorate a Caribbean villa-style condo with dozens of ARTIFICIAL PLANTS AND TREES? UGH. Nothing homey about these accommodations. Not to my taste at all.

I returned from a week at the Caribbean Club last Saturday. I'm trying to figure out how to get back! What I love the most is the spacious, luxurious, high end interior designed units. From the first time I came with my husband Jamie at the front desk listened to my preferences in color and design and used that information when choosing our three bedroom unit. We have always been thrilled. The beach is part of a beautiful stretch of seven mile beach without the hectic feeling of larger hotels. Caribbean Club has wonderful lounge chairs, towels and beach service. The staff here including manager Danielle, are gracious, friendly and so welcoming. Thank you Caribbean Club!

Those of you reading the various reviews for Caribbean Club- including the few I have posted over the past couple of years- will see a common thread with each experience: spacious, perfectly appointed suites, amazing property, uncluttered beach, Danielle and her team and my favourite restaurant in the Caribbean-Luca. Those familiar with Cayman will know all the hotels along famed seven mile beach are very attractive options but I always come back to Caribbean Club. To begin with the suites are huge, and always draw a gasp from first time visitors as they open the front door. (They must be close to 3000 square feet, and so very nicely put together). The concierge shopping also leaves a really nice first impression. After a long flight and a busload of enthusiasm surrounding arrival it is so nice to see -as requested- a bottle of Marlborough region Sauvignon Blanc chilled and a variety of cheeses from Fosters to ease into the unpacking process. Step out onto the very large patio decks and take in seven mile beach, sip some wine and decompress. So very nice. Some technical facts that I feel make Caribbean Club's location so perfect. Certainly the beach is awesome and with very few people- just a smattering of comfortable loungers with beach staff to help you and bring you mudslides or pina coladas! But at the street level- West Bay Road- Caribbean Club is across the street from Fosters supermarket and two wine and spirits stores. Fosters is a full on top quality store with fresh fish, produce, meats, ready to go foods and a pharmacy. The wine stores are well stocked, as Cayman is known for huge selection and great spirits. Bottom line- convenience within a two minute walk- including Pappermans Café where I go for coffee, baked goods and sandwiches when in the mood. Talking about wine I could not believe Luca- the restaurant situated at Caribbean Club actually added a second glass walled wine cellar!! (If you have been to Luca before you would know the existing wine cellar is beyond extensive- an entire wall of the restaurant glassed in. Wine Spectator awards. To build a second glassed in wall is quite frankly over the top- but unbelievably awesome for those who like wine) I like to walk so walking seven mile beach is a Cayman past time for sure, but at night we can walk to Camana Bay in about 15 minutes and have dinner over there for top drawer casual dining, or walk 10 minutes either way to barefoot beach bars. I wouldn't know if Caribbean Club is exactly in the middle of seven mile beach, but its location has you very close to everything. As I was leaving- always a sad moment- I couldn't help but notice a few other departing guests in the lobby. All of them wanted to say goodbye to Danielle, the general manager of the property. I know its sounds cliché a bit, but Danielle and her staff make you feel like family. High service, yes- but always with a bit of a chat and a story, and I feel it makes the place intimate and warm. To be totally honest, I never have the urge to say goodbye at the big luxury chain hotels-you just say thank you and hop in the airport car. But at Caribbean Club it is so different. I like it. I hope this helps a bit. You cannot really go wrong here. At all.
