Gran Melia Colon

Love Gran Melia hotels and the Colon was no exception. Beautiful rooms, gorgeous sun terrace and amazingly helpful staff. We interacted with Ana many times after check in and she was just fantastic. Pablo offered some very honest and thoughtful advice on where to dine. Breakfast to order could have been better but the buffet was very good.

Hotel was an excellent choice to explore Sevilla. We opted for red level and this was a great addition. We used the complimentary lounge for drinks and snacks. Breakfast was faultless, a great selection of quality buffet items including some lovely fruit. The hot items were just the right size and well presented and cooked. Our room had a patio which gave us some extra space. Rooms in a city hotel will always be compact but the bed was incredibly comfortable. Great bathroom. The bar had a good selection of cocktails and drinks. All of which were made with love. Concierge organised a dinner reservation for us and check in was well organised with cava, and a staff member to show us everything we needed. Wouldn’t hesitate to return to this hotel if visiting Seville.

Gran Meliá Colón is a beautiful hotel in a great location, close to everything in Seville. The décor is very Spanish in style, and the hotel itself is spacious. Our room was comfortable and spacious, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. One of the highlights for us was the bar Colón at the lobby, the bartenders there were so friendly and attentive and made us delicious cocktails, we ended up going every day because we felt so welcome. Check-in was just okay. We didn’t receive welcome drinks and the staff at reception seemed quite busy, which didn’t feel as personal as expected. At the restaurant, the food was delicious, but not all of the staff were as warm or attentive as those in the bar. Overall, it’s a stylish hotel with comfortable rooms, great food, and an excellent location.

My stay at Hotel Colón Gran Meliá was unforgettable. The deluxe room with two balconies offered the most breathtaking views of Seville—morning light spilling across the rooftops, evening breezes drifting in. The room itself was stunning: beautifully designed with elegant décor, a spa-like bathroom, and a bed so luxuriously comfortable it felt custom-made. Every detail was thoughtfully curated, and the comfort level was off the charts. Breakfast was a daily highlight—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, with local specialties and international favorites. The bar staff were outstanding: warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making every interaction feel personal. Between the rooftop pool, the unbeatable location, and the consistently excellent service, this hotel delivers on every front. I’ll absolutely be returning—it’s not just a place to stay, it’s a place to savor.
