One of the best hotels in the area. Beautiful and in the best location. Can walk everywhere but still quiet. The staff is what made the trip ultra special. I especially appreciated Isabel at the front desk. She went out of her way to make our stay pleasant and special. She was very professional and elegant and helpful. Can’t recommend enough this hotel. Breakfast was great as well. Room was spacious and enjoyed the skincare products provided.

Whilst the staff are fabulous friendly and helpful Eleanora especially and the location is brilliant, this hotel does not live up to its 5* standard. The rooftop pool is very small and shallow and the sunbathing area is small with around six sun loungers and a few chairs people were having to lay on towels on the floor whilst waiting for sun loungers to become available not what you’d expect when staying in 5* accommodation and following a busy day sightseeing. The breakfast was disappointing not much variety at all and the room was extremely cramped not enjoyable whatsoever. Our room was large and comfortable however. Overall not to the same standard as previous 5* hotels I’ve stayed in.

Great central location but lovely and quiet rooms at night. Really good breakfasts and very friendly helpful staff

I stayed at the Colón Gran Meliá Sevilla for 3 nights and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. For a hotel positioned as a premium property, the overall quality fell far short — especially compared to the many excellent alternatives in Sevilla. Breakfast: The breakfast was one of the biggest letdowns. The selection was surprisingly limited, the breakfast room was extremely loud and cramped, and the service felt inattentive and inconsistent. It was far from a relaxing start to the day. Service & Check‑Out: Despite holding Gold status, my request for a late check‑out was dismissed immediately without any real effort to check availability. This lack of consideration was unexpected and left a poor impression. Additionally, the service at the hotel entrance was subpar — staff seemed more focused on chatting among themselves than assisting guests. Room: The room itself was fine, but the view was disappointing: an uninspiring outlook over a residential area. Not what you would expect from a hotel in this category. Overall: This stay was far below the standard I associate with Meliá. The combination of weak service, poor breakfast experience, and lack of attention to loyal guests made this visit extremely underwhelming. Sevilla has countless hotels that offer a much better experience, and after this stay, we will make every effort to avoid Meliá properties in the future.

Only in the Cancun hotels, where I have learned to be accustomed to it, have I been subjected to such an upsell push for rooms, breakfast and drink options. During the check in, we were stationed 2 agents apart from the couple with whom we were traveling. Half way into the 800 Euro upgrade they were trying to sell us, the couple came over to ask us if we were going to buy the 90 Euro upgrade they were offered for the same amenities. When they realized they were caught in this, a lot discussion in the background, with a 3rd “supervisor” took place and then the computer screen was turned away and we were told, “…only one of those Red Level offers was available.” The next morning we told we had signed up for the Red Level, and when I marched into the office asking for an explanation, we were told they accidentally added us to the list. The manager avoided making eye contact with me for the duration of our stay, though I had to pass him in the lobby several times per day. Eventually, an apology letter arrived in our room. They said they had tried to reach us but couldn’t. Of course, they saw me several times each day, but somehow couldn’t reach me. Ironically, they granted us Red Level breakfast privileges, which I skipped since the whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth. To its credit, the hotel is beautiful and in a great strategic location for the attractions and restaurants in Seville.
