I booked big 70sqm apartment and I got one room with bedroom and living room and second room as a bedroom. Everything could be ok if they would let me know. Hotel is classic style and already old. Mattress was good and we slept well. Bathroom ok only sewage system was working poor. Living room not so big and useless for 3 or 4 person. Not so comfortable sofa. Nespresso coffee machine in room was good equipment. Lounge bar included for our room was really ok. Coffee, wine and whisky and more and different beverages and some snack was on board. Breakfast - during our 5 day stay only two days I was happy because they was not many people and they could manage it. 3 days always wait for something. They should invest money in two coffee machines instead to preparing on order and they could save time for another service. Breakfast tasty but as I mentioned some of meals they brought warm not hot or close hot. Staff good and we could not complain.

Great hotel in a convenient location for exploring Seville. Friendly staff, by mistake I booked and prepaid for the wrong dates but the hotel swiftly sorted that out. The rooms are comfortable although the shower is in a modern bathtub with steps to get in there. The breakfast had a good choice and was nice. Efficient and easy valet parking as well.

We reserved two rooms one red level suite and one regular room. We did not get red level service during check in, there was no difference between red level and non red level, so do not pay extra. There is a red level breakfast or dining area but they serve same food as regular guests. We went to red level dining area in the evening and they were closing up. I asked if we could get a banana and the staff refused, saying you cannot eat in your suite, you can only eat in the red level room. Also the heater was not working during our stay, we had to call a few times for someone to come fix it. It must be a known issue because the maintenance immediately took apart the ac and tried to fix it, leaving a lot of dust on the carpet. The room got warmer but when he left, it was cold all night. We were freezing. It's ridiculous this is no where close to a five star hotel.

I stayed at the Gran Melia Colon with my family in December/17. The Hotel is beautiful and has an excellent location, close to everything. The room is spacious and comfortable and the breakfast is great. The staff is very kind. But the hotel must improve communication with guests. 1-We hired a horse and carriage ride through the hotel. We asked the attendant if it was less expensive to hire in the street and she said "just a little". So we accept to pay 90 euros for the 45 minutes ride. Later we found out that the official price of the ride is 45 euros and to pick us up at the hotel would be just 10 euros more ... We complained and at the end the hotel reduced 20 euros of the price. 2-I made the reservation through the website of the hotel that was giving a promotional credit of 20 euro per day to be used in restaurants. During the check I found out no credit was given spontaneously... If I hadn't “remember” the attendant we wouldn’t have get it...
