Outstanding
Absolutely gorgeous outstanding hotel. Old School glamour and class. Check in, service, room service room absolutely immaculate. Warm smiley happy staff - what a treat. Real luxury and style. Slept all week the best I have in years ! Peak holiday time but the hotel never felt too busy or hassly. Excellent location on NorthBund. Cant wait to go back !

We arrived to the hotel at around 10:00 PM after multiple delays to our flight due to Monsoon I always judge the hotel from the first impression .We entered the hotel and there was nobody at least to welcome or take our luggage until a while .the receptionist didn’t even say hi or welcome and only asked about the reservation.I thought that I am asking for charity not check in peninsula hotel .the hotel is ok .I felt the room is a little outdated with large dressing room and nice bathroom .they serve the breakfast in the sitting area near main entrance which is overlooking beautiful garden . The food is super delicious .Some of the staff they don’t understand English properly but others are so helpful especially the lady in the concierge .she helped us in booking tickets to the LV boat .The location is perfect as it near every where .overall my experience was pleasant except for the first impression

The hotel is simply fantastic, everything is in line with the Peninsula hotels standard. Very well located near the Bund, breakfast very good, service vary good. Simply very good under all points of view.

A perfect stay at The Peninsula Shanghai
The Peninsula Shanghai was the perfect stay for our Shanghai trip! The location couldn’t be better, and the room had an incredible view of the Bund. The service was top-notch — from the smooth check-in to housekeeping, dining, and checkout, everything was handled perfectly. Huge thanks to the amazing concierge team, especially Danny, who went all out to help us book some really hard-to-get cafés and restaurants. We’ll definitely be back on our next trip to Shanghai (and maybe Beijing too)!
