Reviews for The Yangtze Boutique Shanghai
I loved this place. The hotel is great! It's central for shopping & eating out. The rooms are fabulous with lovely little touches! The only disappointment was the hotel spa treatment. It really lets the place down. I booked a massage treatment but when I went to my appointment they told me they would do it in my room. It was difficult to explain that I needed to be on the massage table due to my neck. After another 3 hour wait I went down again. There was absolutely no relaxing ambience about the room, the lights were bright, no claiming music, just the sound of the clock in the wall ticking away. The lady asked me half way through the treatment which treatment I having & how many minutes I wanted!!?? I wasn't happy given the cost. I really hope Yangtze Boutique does something to improve this because its the only reason I didn't rate them a 5.

We thorougly enjoyed our 2 nights in this gem. This boutique hotel is centrally located at People's park (metro station People's park exit 14). It is a 20 minute walk to the Bund. The hotel is a relaxing haven in a hectic city. The interior is very stylish and decorated in a mix of contemporary and art deco styles. The rooms are extremely comfortable!! The beds are the best we have ever slept in and the amenities are very complete. We even had a build-in tv above the bath tub, just insane! The breakfast is worth the price. The only thing that I am not sure about is the service from the staff. They are not unfriendly but also not really all that welcoming and happy to be there. That is my only gripe with this otherwise great hotel.

Something different in Shanghai to the usual brand names. Great location but no views as such. We did have nice view of the church behind us at night. Art Deco original building and tried to keep the atmosphere - some success. Great size rooms and lovely staff. Restaurants disappointing expensive and Chinese on has very slow service with mediocre food. A shame really as otherwise very enjoyable.

Pretty good hotel, in a very good location, near People's Square (50 meters to metro exit 14) and very close to Nanjing Road. You can feel that the hotel isn't modern, so it's the one of the oldest in Shanghai. But it has it's own, "old-Shanghai" atmosphere.

I stayed 4 nights in June. The location was good. 20 min walking to Bund and 2 min to Nanjing road. line 2, 8 of metro are near to the hotel. Breakfast and wifi was superb. reception and concierge can speak English very well. They can organize Taxi for where you want to go very fast with reasonable price. There is a 24h store around the corner. Shopping mall with food court are in front of the hotel.
