Reviews for The Yangtze Boutique Shanghai
Stayed at the Yangtze for three nights with my sister, room is big enough for two, comfy bed, old Shanghai art deco, literally one min walk to the underground, the service tho, they don't even call taxis for the guest, the stuffs are lack of training, asked one of the stuff for the taxi card, and he simply answered "I don't work at the front desk." Shanghai's traffic is madness, take the underground would be easier to get around. Overall, I would not recommend to stay at the Yangtze since you could stay at le meridien right next to it only with couple hundreds extra.
Arriving late after delayed plane flight from central China, our guide and driver picked us up from the airport and got us to the Yangtze safely. The receptionist was a delightful english speaking young man who helped us to our room. And Wow! what a room, a luxury retreat after a dismal day.. Wish we could have stayed longer. highly recommend and only place to stay in Shanghai. Out of the 10 hotels we stayed in while touring China ... the Yangtze Boutique was the BEST.

Really great hotel. The location is pretty perfect to explore Shanghai from, only 2 mins from the Metro. Excellent value compare to other hotels in Shanghai. Would 100% stay again. Staff could just be a little more friendly.

Agree with other comments regarding convenient location. Very spacious room and large bathroom. Large comfortable bed. Decent breakfast. A bit chilly in the Lobby but as the front door is constantly opened, couldn't expect anything else. Complimentary tea and biscuits in the Lobby. Wifi a bit sporadic but the same can be said for the rest of China. The Art Deco style attracted me to this place when searching for hotels and I wasn't disappointed.

Love this little hotel as compared to size of Shanghai standards, excellent location, approx two blocks from walking street. This is a very nostalgic hotel and really gives you a feel of how it would have been in Shanghai in the 1930's, comfortable beds and linens and a very nice deco decor, if in Shanghai this will definitely be my hotel choice!
