We returned after staying at the Inn several years ago. The Inn is impeccably maintained and surpassed our fond memories of its amenities. The staff reflected Ari's (Hospitality and Inn Manager) warm and welcoming ways. My wife and I were welcomed and immediately treated as valued guests and friends. We are already scheduling our next relaxing visit.

The most exceptional experience in Vermont on Lake Champlain, especially if you appreciate beauty, history, gardens, architecture, and working farms. Go to recharge or just enjoy the spacious vistas of the Green Mountains, the Adirondack Mountains, and beautiful Lake Champlain.

We came up for our twentieth anniversary (at least fourth time staying here) and couldn't have been more pleased. Our first time in the East Room was spectacular. Despite the possibly record heat, the lack of a/c was not a problem at all. Fans were more than sufficient. The restaurant never ceases to impress, with breakfast being an absolute no-brainer. Plenty of choices for non meat-eaters as well. We never tire of the views and the whole ambiance of the place. Our idea of heaven on earth.

Heaven on earth. We’ve been to the Inn at Shelburne Farms three times and it’s always spectacular. The setting on Lake Champlain is off the charts beautiful. Inside the house you’re transported in time to the 19th, early 20th century. The restaurant is great for breakfast and dinner. Outside is quiet, relaxing & peaceful. There is no AC and there are no TVs which at first bothered me but now it’s almost a plus. It forces you to read, walk & talk. I would highly recommend it. The farm is nice, the acres & acres of land are beautiful!

We love everything about Shelburne Farms- the friendliness of the staff, the stunning views everywhere you look, the gardens, the secret paths, the philosophy of sustainable living, the delicious, locally produced food, the history. Even for people who live in Vermont, this place is special. We were welcomed to our room with a bouquet of flowers, cheese made on site, and focaccia. Each night someone left a goodnight poem on our pillows. We were transported to a more leisurely and elegant era, and we could not have been happier.
