Flowing white walls encompass the classic Mediterranean style of each room, with beautifully tiled floors and accents adding to the bright and charming elegance of simplicity. In the evening take a quick boat trip to nearby Lipari or Panarea Islands to partake in the vibrant local nightlife, then return to the hotel for a fabulous sunset dinner. Seated on the tranquil terrace, gazing out over the sea, dine on the gastronomic wonders of L'Arcipelago's innovative Sicilian cuisine. Amazing location facing Lipari, the Therasia resort is pure bliss. Great pools, good gym, outstanding breakfast and unique view from the deluxe sea view. Vulcano makes a great stay for 3-4 days with no need to leave the island

I was gob smacked by the welcome . Not just the views that are stunning but the staff really did their best to ensure a warm welcome. My highest recommendation goes to this hotel and its staff . I'll have to come back soon .

I booked the Therasia Resort for my husband's 40th birthday and was super excited as the photos looked amazing. When we arrived the experience was even more than the photos promised. The arrival brought me to tears as we were guided round to the pool area with the most spectacular view. It's regarded as one of the best as you can see all of the islands from that point. The staff are super attentive, professional and extremely accommodating. The reception staff couldn't do enough for us from the time of booking to the moment we left. Big shout out to Pierpaolo, Alessandro and Roberto! The food was amazing, in fact if I'd been given a Ā£1 for every time I said "amazing" on this break I'd have managed to pay for my holiday. We didn't eat in the Michelin starred restaurant just purely because it would have been a waste of money for us as my husband is very fussy, but breakfast, lunch and dinner from the other restaurants were lush. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We were lucky enough to have a sea view room with balcony which, with that view, really is worth it. The only down side was the fact that there was no iron. You get complimentary soft drinks in with the room which is a lovely touch but no tea and coffee making facilities. The spa and gym are well equipped and very relaxing and they offer treatments although we didn't book any. The main pool is salt water, they have two other pools but they were closed when we were there. There are some really lovely quiet/private sun bathing spots all with spectacular views. The bar staff even bring your drinks down to you. We weren't brave enough to take the steps down to the sea for a swim but I'd imagine it's a lovely thing to do when it's warmer. If you want to visit the other islands on an excursion just be aware that these don't run all of the time. If the water is choppy they won't run them but you can get a ferry from the port to island hop if you want. Excursions were only available on the first day of our stay and we were lucky enough to visit Stromboli - absolutely brilliant. Although the weather was lovely it was windy! If you want to climb Stromboli I'd recommend planning at least a one night stay there to be sure you'll be able to do it. It's well worth exploring the beautiful island of Vulcano. We hired a quad which was brilliant fun and good value too. If you're up for it a trip up to the top of the crater is a fab experience if a little smelly. Worth it though for the views and to see the crater itself. We are definitely planning to go back. It was wonderful.

We have travelled all around the world spending thousands of pounds on holidays in the past, this is one of the most enjoyable and easily the best value 5 day get a ways ever. The trip here is long considering the distance travelled but well worth the effort. The location is just stunning and lifts your spirits every waking morning. The transfers we all on time and the people meeting us friendly and helpful. The staff are just lovely and can't do enough, if you want something just ask. The food is amazing! No really amazing, on half board I expected a buffet (The thing I hate the most in this world) buy no a fresh exciting menu every night with views to match. They even have a 1 star Michelin restaurant you can pay to eat in!!! So if you a major food lover they cater for you. The quad hire I was worried about as I've seen how the Italians drive but do it the roads are empty. Driving around the island it so beautiful. The place is a little piece of paradise. Enjoy.

We booked fairly late and wondered about our choice when we read some of the reviews. Our experience has been superlative! The staff are so friendly and happy to do whatever they can to make your stay a pleasant one. For example, there was no kettle in our room for that morning cuppa. We asked and within half an hour, a kettle, teapot China cups and an assortment of tea bags arrived. The food is local cuisine - no pie and chips! And the quality and presentation is amazing. You should be aware that wine is expensive and it is worth asking to see the wine list before agreeing to the wine waiter's suggestion. But the cost of wine in the shops is high anyway. All the transfers worked smoothly, although the trip is long, so don't expect a quick journey. The rooms are comfortable and well worth the extra for a sea view. Everyone is so friendly and all take pride in their island. Regular courtesy buses take you to the harbour where you can get the hydrofoil to neighbouring islands. A tour of Vulcano with Santi is a wonderful experience and a walk to the top of the crater is breathtaking - literally! We have had a wonderful time and thoroughly recommend the holiday. The season has not yet started in earnest so many trips etc are not yet runnng, but we have found plenty to do and see.
