Belmond La Residence d'Angkor in Siem Reap, Cambodia
A stone’s throw from the empire’s legendary ancient temples, this luxurious modern retreat exemplifies traditional Khmer architecture. Here, tranquil gardens – including a pond dotted with floating lotus blossoms - provide a lush backdrop to a pool and spa on the banks of the Siem Reap River. Nearby, open-air markets attract locals and visitors fascinated by the rich colors, textiles, flavors and scents. This is a thriving town with rich heritage.
Before dawn take a tuk tuk ride through Siem Reap to the legendary ancient temple of Angkor Wat. Watch the sun rise in the orange sky over the roofline’s iconic silhouette and tour the rambling ruins – but beware of curious monkeys. Continue your ride past dramatic, centuries-old tropical trees to Angkor Thom nearby. Ride to the historic Foreign Correspondents’ Club for a French-Vietnamese lunch, and tour the Psa Leu markets to pick up silks and spices. Dine on Executive Chef Saul Garcia Ramos’ world cuisine with a Khmer twist at the hotel’s restaurant Circle.

Reviews for Belmond La Residence d'Angkor
We stayed at this hotel for a 5 night stay through luxury escapes . We stayed in a junior pool suite which was very clean and comfortable . The resort has 1 bar which serves snacks and 2 restaurants . Breakfast was included with our room rate and had a wide selection of Asian and western food ,pastries and even sparkling wine . The only let down was that the lunch and dinner menu don’t offer a wide range of choice as other 5 star resorts we’ve stayed at . The best feature was the friendly staff who work there

Stayed here for three nights. Very happy - good comfortable pool view suite. Good bed, AC etc. V relaxing to return to sit around the central pool. Good service throughout. Room serviced regularly, pool boy v attentive, msrtini bar good for pre-dinner drinks. Can’t fault anything.

The hotel is excellent, the room was great, breakfast delicious and very good service, kind and effective! The problem was: we’ve been there for the new’s year eve and we had to buy also the special dinner! But we didn’t know it was a corporate dinner and we had to listen to their speeches in our celebration night! When we talk to the general manager he said he didn’t know! Who should know then?#fail!
From the moment we entered this hotel, we knew this was to be a good experience. All aspects were of an exemplary standard matching the very finest in the world. The room was beautifully fitted out and well appointed with all that may be expected from a five-star establishment. My wife said the spa was also excellent with a wide range of facilities and treatments available. The pool area is quiet and architecturally magnificent. We enjoyed the food and wine and all the staff were so friendly.

We stayed at the Belmont for two nights and we loved the resort!! Not only were the staff incredible their restaurant for breakfast and dinner buffet had the most amazing food ever!! It’s $38 for the dinner buffet which I realize is pricey for Siem Reap but the food was incredible with made to order Curries and noodles and a huge selections of meat/seafood on their live station!! We also got a couples massage after a long day of visiting the temples and could not have been more pleased! The massage and spa were incredible!!
