Belmond La Residence d'Angkor in Siem Reap, Cambodia
A stone’s throw from the empire’s legendary ancient temples, this luxurious modern retreat exemplifies traditional Khmer architecture. Here, tranquil gardens – including a pond dotted with floating lotus blossoms - provide a lush backdrop to a pool and spa on the banks of the Siem Reap River. Nearby, open-air markets attract locals and visitors fascinated by the rich colors, textiles, flavors and scents. This is a thriving town with rich heritage.
Before dawn take a tuk tuk ride through Siem Reap to the legendary ancient temple of Angkor Wat. Watch the sun rise in the orange sky over the roofline’s iconic silhouette and tour the rambling ruins – but beware of curious monkeys. Continue your ride past dramatic, centuries-old tropical trees to Angkor Thom nearby. Ride to the historic Foreign Correspondents’ Club for a French-Vietnamese lunch, and tour the Psa Leu markets to pick up silks and spices. Dine on Executive Chef Saul Garcia Ramos’ world cuisine with a Khmer twist at the hotel’s restaurant Circle.

Reviews for Belmond La Residence d'Angkor
A real boutique in a growing city full of mega-hotels. Lovely rooms, charming staff, excellent breakfast, and a quiet pool. The Hotel coordinated with my travel agent a well rehearsed tour of the temples, taking care of the appropriate order to avoid crowds. I'd highly recommend Belmond La Residence.

If you are traveling with kids it can sometimes be hard to find small hotels that they love and feel at home in. This hotel was amazing in service, room quality and decor. I really can’t say a bad thing about it . As per the room we stayed in was a deluxe suite that was very spacious and private. It had a big terrace an outdoor living room and a table . My kids love to get massages and were able to get one at the spa. The pool service was very speedy and personalized. There are several dining options and you always feel welcome whatever your choice (which is sometimes hard with kids). Overall I would highly recommend you stay here over other hotels because it is small but has all the amenities you need.

We stayed here for two days when visiting the area and really liked the hotel. The staff were immensely helpful and always there to help if required. Our junior suite was very comfortable with good facilities. There's a lovely pool with lots of shade options and swift pool service, even down to the lady offering neck massages. Great spa with really good massages and a nice relaxation area. The position if very good, alongside the canal and a short walk from the night market and town centre.

The hotel has been renovated in a very refined way with traditional Cambodian taste. The hotel staffs are all very kind - it feels like concierge service. Ideal hotel to stay after day trip in angkor wat and surrounding temples.
My partner and I stayed here for three days in early May. This handsome boutique hotel has beautiful common areas, a terrific breakfast buffet, and one of my favorite swimming pools of any hotel I’ve visited. Our guest room 314 overlooked the swimming pool which is beautiful day and night from the balcony spacious enough for a comfortable patio set. The service was outstanding! The concierge was incredibly helpful in setting up some special surprises for my partner’s birthday. We also preplanned two excursions to visit several temples nearby...the hotel is quite close to the Angkor Wat complex. I’d strongly recommend this beautiful hotel with a good value.
