We chose this hotel based on the excellent reviews and it certainly deserves them! We were pampered from start to finish. From the moment you walk in, you are ensconced in a cocoon of tranquility in this otherwise frenetic city. To check in, you don't stand at a desk in the lobby, you sit in plush chairs at a separate reception area and receive a shoulder and neck massage. The staff are exemplary, speak perfect English, and are genuinely interested in your comfort. You get a complementary tuk-tuk tour of the city. We splurged for a deluxe room, which had a separate sitting area with a wrap-around sofa and table loaded with fruits, snacks, and a complementary bottle of wine. The shower is awesome. The breakfast buffet is loaded with pastries, fruits, and coconut juice from the shell, as well as Western and Asian entrees. They will even make change from large US $ bills, easier to spend! The only caveat is that there is an Apsara show in the courtyard every night; if you are in a courtyard room, you will hear the banging of drums from 7-9 PM. It wasn't overwhelming up on the third floor, but I would advise if you are subject to migraines, request an outside room. We also liked the downtown location. Most of the luxury resort hotels are on the outskirts of the city; here, you are steps away from shopping, restaurants, a supermarket, and Pub Street.

The way this was LITERALLY one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at in the entire world...... truly. We travel and host yoga retreats all around the world and our taste is very high for hotels not just for the quality but for the service. This hotel is on our list as one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. The actual venue itself is stunning in every way. The welcome experience was above and beyond, with gifts and special shoulder massage and welcome drink. The entire staff every single person we encountered were truly incredible human beings serving with joy and love. We will stay here again and again on every future experience. Especially Marylin her kindness was so unbelievable in how she cared for our whole group but also how she interacted with our 4 year old daughter. She made us all feel so loved and cared for and she is someone we will always remember and be grateful for. Truly incredible experience also the location was UNBELIEVABLE! This is the only hotel in this area of this caliber so close to town for exploring markets. Also the food and restaurant was top notch! Everything about this was 100/10. You must stay here don't even look for anything else just go!

We stayed at the Aurea Hotel in Toledo for one night. The hotel is rated 4 stars. Prior to arrival, the hotel informed us that they did not have on-site parking and suggested three nearby public lots. What they failed to mention was that the entrance to the hotel is located on a very narrow cobblestone street—only about 7–8 feet wide in some areas—and is completely inaccessible by car. This was not made clear in their communication, and it caused considerable difficulty upon arrival. For that reason, I would not recommend this hotel, especially for anyone with mobility issues. Toledo’s old town is very hilly, and navigating it by car is quite challenging. My advice to anyone staying in Toledo is to park your car in a public lot and either walk or take a taxi to your hotel. The hotel itself was fine. It was clean, and check-in was smooth, although the staff member at reception was not particularly empathetic given that we had arrived in the rain after hauling luggage up and down cobblestone streets. Our room was a good size with a comfortable king bed and a well-equipped bathroom. The only downside was that the walls were thin, so hallway noise could be heard at night. Breakfast was included in our room rate and offered a nice buffet selection. The hotel’s location is excellent—just a short walk to the main cathedral, the Jewish Quarter, and many restaurants.

Above and beyond experience. This is the best Hyatt I've ever seen that. Personalized luxury at every turn. A wonderful breakfast buffet! Attentive, kind staff. Lovely activities at breakfast time such as painting Cambodian backdrops, making a clay elephant, trying traditional Khmer coffee and pancakes A lovely oasis of calm
