Drive up to the ski-lift area in Silvaplana and you will find this treasure. What an amazing view and lovely staff. Stay here for drinks or dinner but make sure to check the opening hours before you go.

Great hotel. Rooms are European size but extremely well designed (organized), so one has impression that the room is much larger than it really is. The cable car for Corvatsch ski area is 100 meters away. Corviglia is about 15 minutes by ski bus (stop in the front of Nira Alpina hotel). There are three busses 1,3 and 6. 1 and 6 have stop close to Signalbahn cable car (300 meters). Take rather bus number 3 - stops in front of the Signalbahn cable car. Hotel has good spa and FANTASTIC views of Corviglia ski area. Very good restaurant. Great staff, especialy Janni (from Greece) in front desk and Sara in the restaurant are great assets.

This upscale, modern, ski-in/ski-out resort is located in the beautiful Swiss Alps, across the street from the Surlej LSC gondola lift station and 8 km from Lake St Moritz. This hotel is new and beautiful. Our guestroom was small but modern, tastefully decorated, and well-equipped with amenities such as an USB charging station, robes, slipper, coffee/tea, safe, minibar, and television. Our room had large windows, as well as a balcony with chairs. We had a king room, and in the European fashion, that meant two beds pushed together. I do wish they had true king beds. Additionally, the hotel bathroom provided a shampoo/conditioner combo instead of separate bottles of each. So if you have long hair, bring your own conditioner. The property has a spa area, with free access to a sauna, steam room, and heated soaking tub. There is also an onsite gym. The food at Stars and the rooftop bar was excellent. The hotel has free Wi-Fi. The hotel is a true ski-in/out. It is located on the children’s ski run, with direct access to the Corvatsch gondola lift via a covered bridge. The hotel provides individual ski lockers for each room. The hotel arranged discounted ski pass for us ($38 per day per person, for the duration of your stay: for example, stay 2 nights, must pay for 2 days skiing). Staff and service here are amazing—everyone from the manager to the bartenders were wonderful. We arrived via train. I emailed the hotel prior to arrival and they arranged for a complimentary shuttle service to pick us up and drive us back to the train. I highly recommend Nira Alpina. What a magical place!

My wife and I spent a wonderful three nights at the Nira Alpina during the busy Christmas season. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that the hotel places a strong emphasis on making guests feel welcome and cared for. The check-in staff was helpful in explaining the hotel and surroundings, but we were most impressed by the attention to detail of the restaurant staff. Like other reviews, I also have to call out the professionalism of the manager, Claudia. She was always making sure everyone and all aspects were taken care of. She stepped by our table during dinner to say hello, share a bit about her own story, and was very happy to hear when we were checking out that we were off to her country to celebrate New Year's Eve. This hotel is fairly new, and we appreciated that. The room and bathroom, although not large, were well equipped and tastefully decorated. The bathroom, in particular, is very modern. Each room has a balcony with chairs, and we appreciated being able to step out into the snow and take in the views as more snow came down. After being out in the mountains all day, we also really enjoyed the sauna, steam room, and hot tub in the spa; highly recommend that! The food in the restaurant is excellent. While it's not cheap (as is the case in Switzerland), we were pleasantly surprised by the variety, especially the Asian influences on the menu. The wine the sommelier suggested for my wife was also quite good. There's a small library, which one can overlook, on the left and upstairs when you come in, and that's a nice place to browse some books and enjoy the views. In terms of location, it is important to know what this hotel is and isn't. If you want to be in the heart of the village of St. Moritz, this is not where you want to book (unless you have your own car, in which case, it's not a big deal). Getting to the village via the local buses isn't difficult, but you do need to be back by early evening when the buses stop running. On the other hand, if you want to be right on the doorstep of Corvatsch, you can't get any closer! We are beginner skiers and took lessons, and very much benefited from being so close to the mountain. We were also able to take the bus to Diavolezza, although the schedule from Surlej, Parkplatz was confusing (make sure to ask bus drivers if you're doing that). A couple of issues to explain my four stars. Internet was spotty and slow throughout our stay. To Claudia's credit, she heard us complaining when we were checking out and came out of her office to explain that she's aware of the issue and is looking into boosting the signal strength. Again, great service. The other issue is we were given confusing information regarding the ski pass that you can buy if you stay at local hotels (we were initially told we could buy it for one day but turned out later that you have to buy it for each day of your stay). Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay, and thanks again to the staff for the great service!

This hotel is a nice ski-in / ski-out hotel, located on a mountain with chairlift and ski facilities. Rooms are clean but only bathrooms have really been updated. Rooms could use renovation and more lighting. Internet is slow, but that may have to do with mountain location. Views from the rooms are very nice, and rooms are very quiet. Hotel serves a good breakfast buffet and the restaurant Stars has very good dinner food - the chef is creative and does a great job. Food service personnel generally very pleasant and friendly. Front desk workers nice, some more knowledgeable than others. Manager of hotel works very hard, and seems very on top of things at the hotel. We even saw her in the evenings in the restaurant. Bus service from the hotel to the various ski areas and to town is pretty good but if weather is not great buses may not come all the way up to the hotel, guests have to walk down a hill to bus stop at the very bottom, which is pretty inconvenient. We would recommend the hotel to people who prefer to stay outside of the St. Moritz town and on a mountain. Note the gym facility is very small, and there is no indoor pool, just a small warm soaking pool. So, skiing is really the main activity for this hotel in winter.
