Got to the golf resort at 1040. Apparently, it's too late for breakfast or maybe there wasn't any. Got to the half way house, had no sandwiches, only kitkat or pringles. Exited the course at 5.30pm to find kitchen closed. In summary - Bring your own food! Unbelievable place. Never coming back here.

Beautiful hotel, gorgeous golf course. Attentive service. Good gym, nice spa. Great breakfast. Restaurants in the hotel are pricey, so if you want a casual meal, go into Sintra. A charming town with dozens of cute, inexpensive places to eat.

This is a resort set in acres of forests and greenery, boasting 3 golf courses. It also has a range of facilities for families. It is outside the town of Sintra so transport into town would be required. There are a number of restaurants on site showcasing various cuisines (not cheap). Lots of opportunities to walk around the property and see the well maintained monastery buildings. Rooms are spacious and comfortable with a balcony overlooking landscape. However, the best part is the efficiency, politeness and friendliness of the staff. They are an asset to the company and couldn't do enough to ensure that we had a wonderful break.

We stayed here for 6 nights and were not ready to leave. The resort is beautiful- we loved our room, and enjoyed exploring the grounds. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the front desk, the door staff, the concierges, and the restaurant staff. The location is perfect for exploring this lovely corner of Portugal or going into Lisbon. Breakfast was amazing! We cannot recommend the hotel enough. TIP: if you go to Pena Palace, take a taxi/uber. We had a debacle of a day *attempting* to drive there.

So, my husband and I got married at Penha Longa, and let me tell you, the wedding coordinator and the whole team were amazing! But here's the deal: our stay at the hotel afterward was a bit of a rollercoaster. We had this agreement with the staff to clear out all the trays and carts from the lunch we catered for our guests before we got back to our presidential suite on our wedding night. Well, when we walked in, it was still a mess. Kind of a buzzkill, you know? And then, to top it off, one of the staff kept bugging us about stuff our guests supposedly left behind, even though we told them it wasn't there. The next morning, checkout was a total circus. It took forever, and we ended up missing our train because of it. This made for a very awkward 2 hour uber ride. And don't even get me started on the laundry prices. I mean, seriously? And they even managed to poke holes in our silks by hanging them up with safety pins. Anyway, big shoutout to the wedding team—they rocked it! But the hotel staff could definitely use some work. Hoping they take this feedback onboard and step up their game for future guests.
