Reviews for Tivoli Palacio de Seteais Sintra Hotel

Excellent to be recommended and certainly will go back.

The most perfect palacio in Sintra. Excellent location. Excellent service and very friendly staff from reception, restaurant, housekeeping to management. A location full of history, in Sintra yet very quiet and private. Great rooms, excellent beds. Outstanding food.

Special Place with Amazing Service and Food!

We went for our 25th Anniversary and we could not have been in a more special place with amazing service in a special setting. Really must recommend the Picnic Lunch, a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and big Thanks to DIOGO who did everything possible to ensure us a perfect stay, which it was. We will go back and you will not regret staying here.

We had our Son’s wedding at the hotel! The setting was absolutely magical, both the garden and the Palace. We couldn’t have found a better location for our celebration! The staff at the hotel, from the front desk, housekeeping to their security could not have been better! Our thank you to all the for making our celebration so smooth and taking care of our every request and confort!

An expensive disappointment

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 months ago

I give this hotel only 2 stars because we didn't find it at all worth the high prices. We chose this hotel based on the descriptions of he grounds and the historic building. We were willing to pay the price, which was higher than the other 5-star hotels we stayed at in other cities in Portugal, because we thought it would be special and worth the higher price. But we found the staff stiff and unwelcoming and our room not what we expected. We had booked a superior room, but our room was small and had an old-fashioned double bed that was so small we could barely sleep in it. The location is very inconvenient. You have to walk down difficult walkways to get anywhere from the hotel and Uber drivers have a hard time getting there. When we were leaving they almost didn't let our Uber driver in, expecting us to drag our suitcases down to the main road, but he somehow convinced then to let him drive up. The first night we walked into town and ate at an excellent restaurant. But, given how difficult it is to get into town, we decided to eat at the hotel restaurant the second night. There was a wedding at the hotel that evening, which apparently occupied the staff so much that they were slow and inattentive in the dining room. The meal was expensive and the food was only average. I recommend you stay somewhere else.

King for a day

Supr hancy, chateau like property. Feels like you should be there for a wedding - there was a wedding when we were there. It is a quiet oasis from the tourist whirlwind that can Sintra. They have an excellent pool, a slighty over fancy dinner, a nice bar and very pretty gardens. I wouldnt want to spend more than a night or two but at that amount it was kind of perfect...
