This resort is stunning up on a hill where you can see the 2 Tetons perfectly. The tree frogs were so cute but very loud at night time. Ants were also not very well controlled. If you don't like the heat you could get a room at beach level which leaves you without any views except trees. To walk to the beach and grill from the rooms with the stunning views you have to walk down 200 stair steps which is good for digestion but not for knee problems. However, overall we had a great time and people were really nice

The hotel property at Anse Chastanet is a wonderful blend of character and convenience. Nestled on a hill with commanding views of both the Pitons and the Caribbean Sea, the property can satisfy any type of holiday style: beach bum, pampered, physically active… you can do it all. We did a blend, activities in the morning and relaxation in the afternoons. As long as you are a relatively early riser, you can get everything done before lunch, whether it’s hiking the Pitons, snorkeling, or jungle biking. With an immense number of dining options for lunch and dinner, you will never tire of ‘eating the same old thing’. Our favourite was the Jungle Grill, which serves up quality fire-pit grilled burgers with a Caribbean twist. They were especially tasty after a couple hours of jungle biking, which is located just behind Anse Mamin beach where the Jungle Grill is located. Each evening there is live music at the bar, which is a way to wind down before bed and brings many of the guests together for mingling and dancing. Speaking of which, we also enjoyed the official cocktail party which takes place on Tuesdays down on the beach, followed by an immense buffet dinner with many specialties such as grilled fresh fish skewers and roast suckling pig. We stayed in a hillside premium room and I would certainly recommend splurging for it to experience commanding views of the pitons. Our entire fourth wall was non-existent, creating a special relationship with nature (we had our fair share of birds in the room and the odd mosquito). But it is more than worth it. Waking up each morning to see the Pitons as the birds gently chirp creates a wonderful sense of awe to start each day. The staff at Anse was extremely friendly and many have been there for a long time. After being there for a few days you get the sense that the place has very familiar feel to it, almost like a family. And like any family, it’s important to visit every so often. I’ll know we will visit again soon.

If you are like my wife and I and prefer remote to central and quiet to active, you will love this small 49-room resort (with another 29 above in Jade Mountain). We liked the friendliness, good food, things to do when you wanted or not to do, and wonderful setting. It's not cheap, but fun for special trips. A couple of thoughts: - Take advantage of the activities that suit you. We're not divers but that is supposedly great. Snorkeling is great, we took 10 yoga classes in 7 days, hiked the Gros Piton (good exercise) and enjoyed a mixology class. - Great beach to relax - The rooms don't have TVs, phone or A/C (Guess a couple of rooms have A/C)...It's old school in that regard. - Get your exercise because it is 130 steps from reception to the beach. We did it a couple of times each day...felt good. Overall, a nice place for those who like a getaway. The St. Lucians, also, are wonderful people.

My husband and I went to st Lucia for a 5 day getaway that became quite extended as we were unable to get home through Miami due to Irma. The staff was incredibly gracious and helpful. Would highly recommend this resort. Food and service was amazing

Anse Chastanet is the perfect getaway for couples or a family. The location is away from everything and allows you to completely disengage from your daily life and fully immerse yourself in all that Saint Lucia and Anse Chastanet has to offer. Few things to mention that are important to know. 1) The last 2 mile driveway into Anse Chastanet is on unpaved road. Some Taxi Drivers avoid that driveway but it really is not bad. Some of the rooms which has beautiful views of the mountains and the sea do not have Air Conditioning and TVs. Because of the height and location I do not believe an AC is needed but for some that may be a concern. There is no pool at Anse Chastanet but really, with the ocean that is as calm and more beautiful than any pool I do not think you will mind or miss the pool. The staff was beyond friendly and super helfpful! In particular I would like to call out their 2 Night Chef's Shaun Alphonse and Frank who made some unbelieveable dishes that were out of this world and were more than willing to accommodate personal requests without question, issue or concern. I asked if they were able to make some traditional local dishes that I knew and they were more than happy to accommodate. When I tell you the chef's were amazing that is no understatement. The wait staff at the dining areas were also SUPER cool and really helpful as well. They have an awesome snorkeling area on the left and right side of the private beach which my 11 year old said was "awesome!" They provided us with all of the gear we needed. There were also paddle boards and canoes if you are into that sort of thing. I would say overall a 5 star resort that gives you a very personal touch and feel with a great amount of privacy. I would definitely recommend to anyone and would go back in a heartbeat. Also, they are nicely located to a lot of things a tourist would be interested in seeing.
