There were 16 of us for a dive trip, I was the only non-diver. My boyfriend was worried that I would get bored! Not a chance, the beach was peaceful with wonderful huts to keep you cool if you wished. The staff are nothing short of a 10! The pride they take in the country and their jobs is evident each time you interact with them. The food is fantastic, this not a buffet, this is cooked to order hot, fresh and locally sourced. Even a vegetarian restaurant. Our room was at the top of the mountain just a few steps from Jade Mountain. The view was wonderful, 2 walls were open to allow the breeze. I was worried we would be hot at night, but we slept like babies. I would gladly return back to the lap of luxury.

My wife and I recently spent a week at Anse Chastanet in St. Lucia for a scuba vacation. Our beach room was comfortable and spacious, and the decor was gorgeous, featuring a couple of wonderful, large wood sculptures of a fish and eel. We had a couple of problems--a sticky lock and a dripping air conditioning unit--but both were resolved quickly and well. The food was the best I've had at a dive resort, similar in quality, quantity, and presentation to what you get on first-rate cruise lines. The housekeeping and wait staff were friendly and took good care of us. We dove with Scuba St. Lucia. Co-managers Charlotte and Beto were very helpful and approachable. Our boat crew, Captain Xavier and his assistant Emmanus, were terrific, and our divemasters, Bradley and Davis, were outstanding. We felt safe and well cared for on every dive. The coral at our dive sites was absolutely stunning, among the most colorful I've seen, and the aquatic life was plentiful. I saw my first sea horse during our checkout dive and numerous species of tropical fish on later dives, including parrotfish, sergeant majors, trumpetfish, and many more. I even spotted a well-camouflaged flounder. I'd love to go back to St. Lucia and do everything all over again. Thank you Anse Chastanet and Scuba St. Lucia management and staff for showing us a wonderful time!

Stayed here on the first leg of the Yin and Yang package of our honeymoon. We were immediately upgraded to the only Anse room with a pool! Unbelievable view, room, and service. Staff made us feel so welcomed and special. Amenities were unmatched (except for Jade, which is an upgrade for sure). Tip: if you get hot at night, you can ask for a fan! Highly highly highly recommend Anse and Jade!

We've been to Anse Chastanet three times now - as far as we're concerned it has everything. High standards of comfort and excellent food, but most of all the natural beauty all around, from views of the Pitons to nature walks in the grounds. For anyone with an interest in birds, there are lots here - I recommend getting up early and heading for Anse Mamin. Or just sit on your balcony (if you have a hillside room!) with a pair of binoculars. The snorkelling is great too, just off the beach. One thing to be aware of - the hotel is set on a hillside and there are 139 steps from the main restaurant and bar area to the beach. I think the hotel provides a lift if you need it via an access road, but perhaps that wouldn't be ideal on a regular basis.

Anse Chastanet pampers its guests - from setting up beach chairs to room snacks. We loved the place. Long unpaved road to get in but once there you will never want to take the trip out. The food was great for captive audience with a choice of restaurants including Indian, Caribean and Vegetarian, as well as a simple grilled menu. They had quality musicians for evening entertainment. The two beaches are beautiful and sandy with very nice snorkeling. We did the interactive chocolate workshop and made our own chocolate. Nelson, the yoga instructor was wonderful. downsides - they want to do everything for you, no a/c or tv if you are into that, birds at the breakfast restaurant were annoying. Can't wait to go back. see scuba st lucia for diving review
