From silvery sands for sunset strolls, to entire walls opening onto the great outdoors, luxury is in the details at Anse Chastanet. The estate encompasses 600 lush tropical acres bordering two soft sand beaches. Not only do you get a World Heritage Site anchored by the twin peaks on land, the resort’s two crystal-clear bays are part of a designated marine reserve protecting miles of colorful coral reefs teeming with tropical fish. A dozen rooms are tucked in behind the coconut palms that line the beach and the remainder tiptoe up a flower decked hillside. To make the most of the panoramic views and the refreshing tradewinds octagonal whitewashed cottages come with wraparound flower draped balconies and louvered windows. ANSE CHASTANET is St. Lucia's only resort property with the iconic view of both the Piti and Gros Piton mountains floating upon the Caribbean Sea. The location of the property is unsurpassed, a private estate of 600 lush tropical acres bordering two soft-sand Caribbean beaches with pristine coral reefs just offshore. The resort property includes the historical plantation of Anse Mamin and Emerald Estate where the resort grows its own organic produce.

Spent 5 days here after staying at another resort in the north. First off, we came primarily for the snorkeling after reading the many positive reviews. We have been all over the Caribbean, to Belize, Mexico, Roatan, Hawaii, and the Great Barrier Reef, so are familiar with current coral conditions and did not have high expectations. We were pleasantly surprised by the house reef, which, while not pristine, is large, varied, has a great variety of fish and a few turtles. The resort does a good job educating on sea life and coral conservation. Unfortunately, sargassum covered much of the swimming areas each day we were there. We also did a resort snorkel excursion to the Pitons which was an inexpensive way to see them up close, as well as a bat cave and some amazing blue water. However, the snorkel site itself is less impressive than the areas at the resort. The Beach--both beaches have soft, dark sand and the walk alongside the cliff between the 2 is scenic. The staff work hard to bury the seaweed, bring you drinks, food, scented towels, and popscicles. Note that entry into the main left reef has to be done currently through boat traffic. Dining--the food is exceptional. We are not foodies, but the offerings would please those who are--everything is fresh, locally sourced and there are plenty of options. The AI plan is definitely the way to go. However, service in all restaurants is slow and sometimes requested items are forgotten or the servers just seem unsure of menu items. Also, there are really just 2 restaurants. The Treehouse is for breakfast, which becomes Balawoo and Emeralds at dinner and the Beach restaurant, which serves lunch and afternoon tea at their bar. This space becomes Aspara at night. We were there at Easter and the chefs did an incredible job both breakfast and dinner with many traditional holiday foods, themed chocolates and candies for the kids and even an Easter egg hunt for all ages. Rooms-- we reserved a beachfront room and appreciated the A/C option. While housekeeping came each morning and restocked all supplies and always did a turn down while we were at dinner, the level of cleanliness was perfuctatory. For example, there were streaks and smudges on the windows and mirrors and these were still there when we left. Also, the photos on the website made the room type seem much brighter and larger than the one we received. There are dark brown louvers encasing the room which gives a somewhat prison cell effect. Some bottom floor rooms of the same type had hammocks, a tiny fountain, or scenic foliage. Our 2nd floor one looked over the tennis court and just had the fridge, coffee maker, and small table and chairs, so you may want to ask for one on the ground floor. Service overall--it is clear management emphasizes this and everyone greets you and tries to help. That said, we had just come from Stolentime where employees were always smiling and joking, and genuinely wanted to get to know you and share their own personal stories. While the two resorts are quite different, we found the more formal attitudes at Anse to be a bit less memorable. All said, we would love to return to this wonderful resort and to St. Lucia

This resort was amazing, you can tell they take care of their employees and that they are happy as soon as the van pulls up, and throughout your stay. Exceptional dive team and a beautiful boat as well. Food was excellent as well. Amazing experience, will be returning here again.

Truly a 5 star resort. The staff are so friendly and all seem to know your name within a day of arrival. We had a superb hillside view with the best possible view of the Pitons and the sea. Note hillside. It was 126 steps from our room to breakfast and probably about the same again to the beach. A shuttle is at your beck and call though! No pool but two stunning beaches served by bars. Good snorkelling just off the beach. We saw turtles and grouper among other things. We stayed for a week and were all inclusive. That was probably enough for us given the range of dining options and special evenings that we were interested in. Really good food! The only way to and from the resort by road is a 20 minute drive down a very, very bumpy road. Kinda put us off venturing in to Soufriere to dine in the evening. We had a minor problem with our room. The sort of thing that could happen anywhere. It took a few days to fix but all the staff were attentive, concerned and handled it very well. They voluntarily applied generous consideration to our final bill for the inconvenience. Come here, chill out, enjoy all they have to offer, spa, excursions, more. Would highly recommend.

This was the perfect resort for us- well kept and clean, but not stuffy. Great food and genuinely warm service. Two beautiful beaches with incredible snorkeling. Lovely views of the Pitons from the room. Waking up to bird song every morning. Lively entertainment in the evening. Can't wait to return!

Excellent overall. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. We even saw management multiple times during our stay enquiring about our comfort. The food was delicious. The chefs bent over backwards to accomodate our special dietary needs. the activities were fantastic. The location cannot be any better. I highly recommend staying at Anse Chastenet.

“Great service, authentic island feel, perfect spot for snorkeling (guests from other hotels come here to snorkel and dive), & Anse Mamin has the best burger ever!”

We traveled to St. Lucia and stayed at Anse Chasanet - it was wonderful. Our suite, built on a mountain, was completely open yet very private. There were no phones or TVs to distract from the area's true beauty. It truly made our honeymoon more memorable. I would highly recommend Anse Chasanet to all future honeymooners!
