A delayed review we have been meaning to post. Having read the reviews and visited numerous islands and resorts in the Caribbean and Mediterranean my fiancé and I were excited to visit Jade Mountain. We planned a nine day stay as a special treat at about 3k per night which was going to be pricey but hey it was "the"best place in the Caribbean. Well maybe for some but our experience wasn't so great. On arrival at the airport we were first met by a gentlemen that tried to convince us to take a car rather than the helicopter we had arranged. We figured odd but hey it's the Caribbean have to expect a few wrinkles and having sorted that out and still excited we climbed aboard and had a great ride over to the hotel. On arrival we hopped out gathered our luggage and waited for our ride from the helipad down to the hotel. There we waited some more and still we waited sweating through our travel clothes as the helicopter pilot did his best to keep us occupied with small talk. We could see the hotel we just couldn't get there. Apparently they had forgotten about us which we thought strange given the reputation but hey we are still excited and optimistic. When we were finally shuttled to the property they greeted us took us to the empty restaurant and again we waited. No attempt to smooth things over no apology for forgetting the guests dropping 30k or so just a recommendation we buy some lunch and hang out. Finally getting into our room an hour or so later which was visually stunning as advertised we again said to ourselves hey it's the Caribbean have to expect a few hiccups. Regrettably the hiccups continued and once the immediate affect of the dramatic architecture and view begins to wear off you begin to realize the property is tired and largely empty of life. The rooftop restaurant is as another reviewer noted soulless and worth a novelty visit but little else. We were seated near the bathroom on our first visit and even after requesting a better table on our next visit were again seated poorly. Service was lackluster or poor and food was ok but not spectacular. The butler provided us with a phone that rarely seemed to work and pushed each morning to seat us per their schedules at restaurant properties at predetermined times giving the whole thing the feel of a cruise ship where we were on their schedule not our own. When we voiced an interest in dining off property we were discouraged and ended up making our own arrangements which seemed to visibly upset them. The in room pool is very cool, cold in fact so much so that we were only half joking when we spoke of donning our wetsuits for a dip. You aren't going to hang out in it. A quick plunge yes a drink looking over the ocean shivering no. When I requested more blankets from our butler for my fiancé, now wife, they never arrived. They told us the next day housekeeping was done for the day so they hadn't been able to accommodate us. A Marriott frankly would have had no problem but Jade Mountain couldn't put it together. This was the same housekeeping that parked their cleaning cart directly outside our room which we walked by every time we entered or left. All in all, pretty spot. Stop for a night and enjoy the novelty but more than that is a waste of time and considerable money. Anse the sister property would be a better bet. The couple we met staying there had dramatically better service and enjoyed their visit immensely. We on the other hand left disappointed and confused as to how the property had been rated so highly.

We spent our honeymoon at this resort last May. It was a perfect vacation - the food, room, and service were all excellent. It is definitely worth it to get an all inclusive package (even if you are not a big drinker) as the food prices at the restaurant are high. We did stay a couple nights at the sister Anse resort which was nice, but not nearly at the level of Jade. I would recommend spending every night at Jade, even if you have to have one less night. Also, if you get car sick then the helicopter ride is worth every dollar.

Having planned this trip many months in advance, I was a bit skeptical that this place could possibly live up to my expectations after having read all the reviews that touted Jade Mountain. Suffice it to say, all of my expectations were exceeded. First class all the way. They have set the bar at a new high for this well-traveled visitor. Definitely will be making a return trip.

This place is nothing but special! Words cannot express how spectacular it is! You are so taken care of by the staff and butlers. The rooms are to die for! We had the most amazing time and felt so pampered like royalty. We said when we came home that everyone deserves to experience this at least once in their life! The beaches are gorgeous and even while lying on the sand under a beach tree you are brought drinks, food, towels and fresh mist for your face! A few people that made our trip extra awesome were our butlers - Vito, Allain & Teclace. A bartender named Millan, a waiter named Cordell, a chef named Jonathan, a shuttle bus driver named Mervin, a boat captain named Garfield with his boat asst, Denzel, our snorkeling guide, Vita and another boat captain named Jungle. The wait staff and housekeeping were beyond incredible! Everyone is so loving, warm, kind and GOOD at what they do! Loved it and cannot wait to go back for longer!

This review is much delayed, but I figured better late than never. I visited Jade the end of December and because of the extremely high price, we spent one night at Jade Mountain for our year anniversary hoping it would be amazing. The room was amazing but the service was poor/mediocre. I read many reviews and expected it to be a great stay. We arrived and waited about an hour for our butler to bring us to our room. From the pamphlet description, Jade is known for its extraordinary butler service, but we did not get to experience it. Another butler ended up bringing us to our room and said our butler would arrive shortly with the cellphone, to make reservations, etc. The guy even told us that he would not explain how to use the coffee machine or anything because we should call our butler to help us. He also told us that they would come set up a romantic bath for us at night, but that never happened. We wanted to go to the beach but we waited for our butler to show up, yet he never did. We never received a cellphone. We ended up leaving the room to go to the beach after a couple hours and had to wander around to find someone to call us a shuttle. Once we arrived back to the room, we ordered room service. Instead of a butler showing up to help set up anything, the only people that showed up to our room were to deliver room service and to take our credit card info down. We had to ask the room service delivery guy for ice (had requested it on room service form and did not come with it) and it showed up over an hour later. For dinner, we ate at the hotel’s restaurant. The food was overpriced for the quality. We arrived back to our room after dinner, and spent the rest of the night in the room. Through our stay, the only time someone showed up to our room was to deliver the room service, take our credit card info, and ask us about checking out. The Wi-Fi was very slow. Although the pool was beautiful, it was freezing cold the entire time. Overall, the room is gorgeous and luxurious, but we felt very much neglected. We had no way of communicating with anyone at the resort. We did not get the opportunity to plan any excursions as we were told. We met our butler when he showed up to check us out, and said it was nice to see us again. Apparently, he did not realize he never met us. We received a beautiful room, but not the service the resort apparently promises its guests.
