Jade Mountain in Soufriere, Saint Lucia

At Jade Mountain, owner Nick Troubetzkoy’s spacious, open-air sanctuaries sit high atop cliffs with the island’s only view of both the Piti & Gros Pitons. These coral-tiled spaces, accented in locally quarried stone, feature 20 different species of tropical hardwood flooring hand-picked from the rain forest of Guyana. Luxurious spa treatments from the resort’s boutique spa Kai en Ciel (House In Heaven) utilize 5,000-year-old Indian Ayurvedic traditions. The Jade Mountain Club Restaurant wraps around a colorful infinity pool and dishes up the creations of award-winning chef Allen Susser. Produce, fruit, and cocoa beans are manufactured on the resort’s organic Emerald Estate farm, an old 18th century sugarcane plantation. With over 1,000 cocoa trees, the resort offers in-house chocolate manufacturing, allowing guests to sample chef creations, sip on chocolate-infused cocktails, and even try their hand at creating their own chocolate delicacy.

Dive into the inviting green waters of the Caribbean and snorkel alongside pristine coral reefs. Cruise out on the ocean aboard the resort’s yacht or 60 foot catamaran. Indulge in the chocolate laboratory and create your own decadent truffles. Feast on the refreshing and organic mango & papaya creations of Allen Susser from your private enclave on Anse Mamin beach. Unwind with a romantic Alchemy Of Two spa treatment before soaking in your private infinity pool.

This is a GORGEOUS resort and the food was pretty good. I wish we had been advised to go before sunset because the drive and views would have been amazing. Beware it is a bumpy bumpy ride and a water taxi is advisable but we couldn’t due to rain. There is a $200/pp cancellation fee, understandable in most situations. However, this is an open restaurant at the top of a mountain. On the night we dined it was windy and rainy, we couldn’t cancel without the fees and spent our dinner gettin drizzled on and wind blown even after moving tables. It was an underwhelming and expensive dinner given the seating accommodations and I think some exceptions should be made for cancellations. 3 stars is due to weather and inability to cancel.

We stayed here last year for our honeymoon. We had the galaxy suit. This is hands down the BEST place in the real world. They make you feel like royalty here! Our butler was the sweetest and kind person! Everyone that works here goes out of their way for you! The food is amazing and views are unforgettable. This place is worth every penny! Hubby and I were having such a hard time finding a new destination for our vacation this year because no place compares to this one!

We were upgraded to a Moon Sanctuary which was amazing. I can't speak for the other sanctuaries as I understand they are all different. I will run out of superlatives so take it as read that the food, sanctuary, staff and beaches were all superb. We were All Inclusive which I highly recommend as you will rack up serious charges otherwise. The staff are delightful. Every person, maintenance, shuttles, butlers, bar, restaurants, beach - all stop and say hello and wish you a good day, which felt genuine. I can't single one out above another as it wouldn't be fair - and I can't single out one for bad service either because that doesn't exist at Jade Mountain. It was utterly delightful in every way. My only note of caution would be for those who find steps a problem. Everywhere within the Jade Mountain resort involves lots of steps. It is a steep but manageable walk through the Anse Chastanet resort to the beaches but the shuttles will take you up or down as soon as you ask. The snorkelling was not the best but the Water Sports team are great and boats will take you to better areas. Jade Mountain is an amazing concept and I genuinely think they have thought of everything. The Orientation Tour on our first full day was an absolute must - and take the time to walk around to Anse Memin beach. We didn't go anywhere else because it was so quiet and lovely. The bar and grill there made lunch every day a delight. The walk with Meno through the plantation was informative and fun. Highly recommended. In fact, that's all I can say about Jade Mountain - amazing and highly recommended all round.

Hands down one of the nicest and most unique hotels I have ever stayed in. Gorgeous views, attentive staff, great food. This a hotel for couples who are intimately acquainted, as is evidenced by most of the bathrooms being without walls... The diving is also really lovely here, and can be done from the beach of the sister resort below, Anse Chastanet.

We just came back from a 6 night trip (3 night stay at Sugar Beach and 3 nights at Jade). Jade Mountain is hands down the best resort we have ever been to. Even tops the Four Seasons Bora Bora. The property is obviously stunning, but the service and food are what solidify its true 5 star status. I cannot say enough good things. It was on our bucket list and blew our high expectations out of the water! I liked doing a combo trip with some beach and some mountain. We booked through Mitch at TripGuy Travel and he made it all so easy, plus has the insider industry knowledge to recommend exactly what fits your preferences.
