About the Hotel

There is no fourth wall in villas at Ladera – instead, there is the jaw-dropping backdrop of the Pitons, two mountainous volcanic spires that attract adventure-seekers from across the world. A faint tropical breeze wafts from the Caribbean Sea far below through netting on a four-poster bed carved from polished tropical hardwood. Incentive to leave your room can be found in chef Nigel Mitchel's creative interpretation of traditional island fare – try the roast conch served with organic vegetables from the neighboring plantation.

The best view and staff in Saint Lucia

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

My wife and I stayed at Ladera for part of our honeymoon and had the best time! Having the open 4th wall takes the private cottages and their plunge pools to a whole other level and the view from our cottage was spectacular! We enjoyed so many aspects of our stay but one of the most pleasant parts was the friendliness of the staff! Everyone who worked at Ladera seemed eager to help and happy to be there. One of our favorite parts of our stay was when we were walking and exploring the resort on our first full day and Eli offered to show us around. He gave us an amazing tour of the resort including its garden and taught us about the different fruits and herbs that grew on the property as well as their uses. This was so fun to learn and helped us wrap our heads around how good and fresh all of the food was. Ladera was a wonderful experience and an awesome glimpse into the culture of Saint Lucia.

A honeymoon in paradise.

One of the best luxury resorts we ever stayed at. Unique, memorable, romantic. Architecture and design are fantastic. Location is great as well. You can walk to other restaurants, beach and other locations of interest (vulcano, mud baths, zipline) are a short ride away. Service is top notch with your every need anticipated before you even think about it. Our butler, Sadley, is worthy of membership in Les Clefs d’Or. As an industry insider, I can tell you this place is special.

Our experience

Amazing location. The rooms were very unique and provided an unparalleled view of the Pitons and Caribbean Sea. The staff was tremendous and knew us by our names by the second day. Highly recommended for a private getaway with your significant other

Magical Experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Words cannot describe our stay here. It was so magical! I took my mother for her birthday and the experience was so dreamy. From the scenic views of the pitons, hiking trail, food, staff, and sunsets, hotel exceeded my expectations! Rooms: We booked the petit piton suite. Room had everything for a comfortable stay including a beautiful hot tub/plunge pool and repellent for the mosquitoes. The views are truly unreal and so magical! Just beware that the mosquitoes will bite! The beds have nets but it comes with the territory. Food: Amazing!! The cuisine is delicious. The food is fresh. There is only one restaurant on site called Dasheene. No reservations needed for breakfast and lunch, however important to make reservations for dinner as guests from other places come to dine with the beautiful sunset views. The wait is a little long for dinner but the food makes up for it. I also tooo advantage of the sunset fish fry, which was a dinner curated by Chef Nigel (who is truly the best). Staff: Above & beyond. Everyone is so friendly and nice. You truly feel special on the resort. Special shoutout to Sherma, Lee, Greg, Sanjay, Lorne, Isha, Glener. So many other people whose names I did not get but everyone was great! Excursions: I booked directly with the resort. They were in charge of giving us a private driver who drove us to the places. I booked the soufriere experience which consisted of the sulfur springs, diamond waterfall, and botanical garden. Be sure to bring tip money! Beach Shuttles: Resort offers shuttles that go to sugar beach and margroutete beach (def misspelling that). Imo sugar beach is overrated and I did not like the experience. Too crowded and touristy. If you go to the beach, take advantage of the picnic option! The hotel will pack you food to go and beers in a cooler if you request. So cool!! Spa: Leve Spa is magical. Booked the purity ritual. Little expensive imo but so worth it. 10/10 experience. Would def return. I had such an amazing time. Thank you to everyone who made my mom’s birthday celebration special!

My boyfriend and I spent a week at Ladera Resort in St. Lucia, West Indies, this past October. It is a beautiful resort with incredibly attentive and friendly staff. I would like to specifically mention Chef Orlando Satchell. He made an already special stay at Ladera even more wonderful. The room we stayed in was utterly incredible. The view of the ocean flanked by the Pitons, with the moon casting a path on the sea below was magic. It was an incredibly romantic, relaxing vacation which neither one of us wanted to end.
