Ladera Resort

This was a very unique experience for us, the resort in a boutique style eco friendly design. We love how the buildings are built to flow with the land and surrounding forest. We stayed in Hilltop 7 and had fantastic views of the Pitons as well as the Caribbean Sea below. The open air living was great even if it took a minute to adjust to no A/C and the nature that visited frequently. It is a must try at least once in life. The staff is amazing, we did not meet a single unkind or rude staff member. So many names to mention but a special shout out to Janelle at Dasheen who made our dinners very special, the breakfast staff is like a well oiled machine, Isha (I hope I spelled It right) runs a tight ship but keeps it so friendly with her beautiful smile. “V” kept us well stocked with our minibar and room service which we definitely appreciate. We spent two days at Sugar Beach (as guests), the beach is nice and about a 15 minute shuttle ride each way. The only real drawback is Sugar Beach charges $100/chair for the day which is outrageous it does come with good service but wow. The beach does offer free chairs but each day we were there they were all being used as they are on the public side of the beach. This was our second visit to St. Lucia and it was even better than I remembered such wonderful people living on a beautiful island!

Ladera is a truly unique property. The setting is stunning- set between the pitons 1000 feet above sea level. You cannot beat the views. Food at Dashnee was excellent, the farm to table was apparent in every dish. There was a daily fish special and so many seafood options along with beef, chicken, pasta, risotto etc. Chicken dishes and goat dish was excellent. The chocolate mousse was the best dessert I have ever had. Wine choices were excellent and cocktails, for the most part, were great. Service was wonderful- every staff member knew our names and did whatever possible to make our stay lovely. Servers, managers, reception, drivers, cleaning staff, butlers, were all incredible. We stayed in 2 rooms- a Hilltop suite (X3) and a Heritage Suite (G). Both rooms were amazing however the Heritage Suite was STUNNING. Ladera is an open concept resort so you have to be prepared for the sound of nature, bugs in your room, particularly moths- moths bigger than you can imagine. Don't worry, the birds come in and eat them in the morning! The rooms have many fans and we found the only time it was warm was when we were getting ready for dinner. Nighttime was lovely. We did excursions, went to both beaches, to the spa, rum hideaway, hiked the trails. All were excellent. I recommend anyone looking for a unique experience to try Ladera.

The absolute most magical incredible place we have visited. I can’t properly express the beauty and incredible experience we received at Ladera. No photos or reviews will ever do it justice, you need to experience it for yourself. The rooms are absolutely BREATH TAKING. The staff is INCREDIBLE, so accommodating and ready to go above and beyond to make sure you have the best experience. It was such a unique experience we will never forget. We will dream about coming back soon. The open wall room is something you have to experience for yourself, this was truly a unique one of a kind experience. As a Floridian that sleeps with their ac set at 67 degrees evey night, I was worried about how it would feel to stay in the open wall rooms… I can’t believe how comfortable and relaxing the breeze and sounds of the nature outside was. Me and my husband both agreed we truly slept better than we do at home lol!! Thank you to our butlers Sedley and Rohan for making this an absolute dream stay for us. You both were such a huge part of making our stay perfect and going above and beyond. Thank you! We will be back

We had an amazing experience staying at Ladera this month! Pros: -Staff! Friendliest staff we’ve ever encountered on our travels. -Dasheene: Amazing food and service! The views were spectacular from the restaurant. -Room: Well cared for and very unique in design (wood carvings) -Leve Spa: Insane! Such a great couples massage. -Layout: Very intimate but super accommodating from food, to service, to amenities (treehouse was so cool!) -Security: We felt very safe and secure! The staff did an excellent job verifying when you needed to leave (and gave us a cellphone) as well as signing upon our return Cons: -If you get motion sickness, the ride from the airport can be a challenge (nothing against the resort) -Wind: The room was phenomenal and had amazing views, but being that high up in elevation brings on some crazy wind/rain. Definitely recommend Ladera to anyone considering visiting St Lucia!

How can we say amazing!!! The view is unsurpassed by none. The view is up high between the Pitons. Their food was amazing!!!
