About the Hotel

There is no fourth wall in villas at Ladera – instead, there is the jaw-dropping backdrop of the Pitons, two mountainous volcanic spires that attract adventure-seekers from across the world. A faint tropical breeze wafts from the Caribbean Sea far below through netting on a four-poster bed carved from polished tropical hardwood. Incentive to leave your room can be found in chef Nigel Mitchel's creative interpretation of traditional island fare – try the roast conch served with organic vegetables from the neighboring plantation.

Magical Experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 11 hours ago

Words cannot describe our stay here. It was so magical! I took my mother for her birthday and the experience was so dreamy. From the scenic views of the pitons, hiking trail, food, staff, and sunsets, hotel exceeded my expectations! Rooms: We booked the petit piton suite. Room had everything for a comfortable stay including a beautiful hot tub/plunge pool and repellent for the mosquitoes. The views are truly unreal and so magical! Just beware that the mosquitoes will bite! The beds have nets but it comes with the territory. Food: Amazing!! The cuisine is delicious. The food is fresh. There is only one restaurant on site called Dasheene. No reservations needed for breakfast and lunch, however important to make reservations for dinner as guests from other places come to dine with the beautiful sunset views. The wait is a little long for dinner but the food makes up for it. I also tooo advantage of the sunset fish fry, which was a dinner curated by Chef Nigel (who is truly the best). Staff: Above & beyond. Everyone is so friendly and nice. You truly feel special on the resort. Special shoutout to Sherma, Lee, Greg, Sanjay, Lorne, Isha, Glener. So many other people whose names I did not get but everyone was great! Excursions: I booked directly with the resort. They were in charge of giving us a private driver who drove us to the places. I booked the soufriere experience which consisted of the sulfur springs, diamond waterfall, and botanical garden. Be sure to bring tip money! Beach Shuttles: Resort offers shuttles that go to sugar beach and margroutete beach (def misspelling that). Imo sugar beach is overrated and I did not like the experience. Too crowded and touristy. If you go to the beach, take advantage of the picnic option! The hotel will pack you food to go and beers in a cooler if you request. So cool!! Spa: Leve Spa is magical. Booked the purity ritual. Little expensive imo but so worth it. 10/10 experience. Would def return. I had such an amazing time. Thank you to everyone who made my mom’s birthday celebration special!

3 perfect days

Ladera could not be more perfect. My husband and I visited for 3 nights and regret not staying here our entire time in St. Lucia. The views, property and staff cannot be beat! We stayed in a paradise ridge room and felt so lucky to be so close to the Pitons. The room was stunning and incorporated into nature perfectly and felt completely private. We loved it so much we ate all of our breakfasts and lunches there and exclusively used our huge private pool! We also loved the round trip hike on property that gave you private views of the pitons. Everyone we encountered including our butlers, the pool boys, and servers were so kind and anticipated all of our needs without having to ask. We also did a free yoga class on property and the teacher was kind, funny and gave us a very nice class. I cannot recommend this hotel more. You may be ruined for future hotels!

Superb location with magnificent views of the pitons. Beautiful gardens. Rooms spacious, ‘open-air’, with refreshing plunge pool.

Paradise in the Pitons

World heritage location is well earned. Beauty of natural setting matched by genuine warmth of hotel personnel and sharing of rich local culture through wood carving, cuisine, music and weaving. Room was wonderful with open veranda large hot spring fed pool, stunning view by day and night and total privacy. The eco hotel offers exquisite experiences while honoring pride of place and respect for the natural and human environment. Gracious, generous and unforgettable hosts included Consierge Caroline, Chef Nigel and Chef Germaine, dining room staff Lee, Lorne, Sherma, and Isha, Tali who gave us a garden tour, Abigail and Karina at reception, and the levr spa staff .

Top of the Five Star Resorts!!

Top of the Five Star Resorts!! The setting is so peaceful in the rain forest of St. Lucia. The team members could not have been more lovely. Thanks to Sonja and all the crew!! I wish I could office from the main lodge patio with daily cocktails. The view is out of this world. The food was excellent and I highly recommend the fish fry on Thursday nights!! Breakfast in your room is also a great choice - coffee in the pool!! The rum cellar is a fun stop as well. We enjoyed multiple treatments at the spa. Easy access to hiking, the waterfall, and the quaint town of Soufreie. I could not have relaxed more in our splash pool. And extra cheers to my favorite valet, Rohan. He acquired me a pool float for extra leisure!! The view of the stars while floating after dark is an experience I will never forget. Thankful for this fabulous resort to celebrate my 50th birthday. We will be back!!

My boyfriend and I spent a week at Ladera Resort in St. Lucia, West Indies, this past October. It is a beautiful resort with incredibly attentive and friendly staff. I would like to specifically mention Chef Orlando Satchell. He made an already special stay at Ladera even more wonderful. The room we stayed in was utterly incredible. The view of the ocean flanked by the Pitons, with the moon casting a path on the sea below was magic. It was an incredibly romantic, relaxing vacation which neither one of us wanted to end.
