Stonefield Villa Resort

I had a nice time in St. Lucia overall, but I was very disappointed with my experience at Stonefield. I travel extensively for work and also do a lot of solo luxury travel personally, so I have a certain expectation when staying at a property at this price point. Unfortunately, this stay fell far below that expectation. I work an incredibly busy and high-pressure job, and trips like this are meant to be an opportunity for me to relax, switch off, and feel looked after. While I did manage to relax because of the beautiful setting, I did not feel cared for or welcomed during my stay. From the moment I arrived, I felt judged for traveling alone and consistently felt treated as less important than other guests. Almost every interaction made me feel like I was inconveniencing staff simply by asking for assistance. In the restaurant especially, I often felt as though staff could not be bothered to serve me, which made what should have been a relaxing solo trip feel uncomfortable and isolating. The hotel itself has beautiful views, and the private villa pools are lovely, but honestly it felt like that is where the effort stopped. Service is what defines a luxury hotel experience, and that was the biggest letdown throughout my stay. Even my spa experience was disappointing. The front desk staff member seemed displeased to see me, and the massage itself was one of the worst I have ever had — it felt rushed, far too much pressure was used even after I asked multiple times for it to be lighter, and there was very little sense of care or attentiveness. Overall, I am very disappointed considering the amount of money I spent on this trip. As someone who frequently travels solo and stays in luxury properties around the world, this has been by far one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve had. Unfortunately, it has left me not wanting to return to this hotel, and honestly has negatively impacted my impression of St. Lucia as a destination as well.

We spent 3 nights in a 5 bedroom villa and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. From the attentive staffs, the farm-to-table food served at the restaurant, the spectacular views of the Pitons. The couples really enjoyed the walk from the villa to breakfast each morning and the availability of fruits at the resort. We would definitely recommend this resort and would come back again.

This was a truly beautiful resort. The pictures don’t do it justice. The staff is extremely welcoming and kind. From the front desk, house keeping, restaurant and grounds keepers. All truly wonderful. I will definitely return. Thank you so much.

This was by far and away the very best experience I have ever had on vacation. The resort and the resort grounds is truly one of the most beautiful I have ever stayed at. We cannot express enough how great all of the staff are! They treated us so very well and their kindness and attention to detail is unmatched. We will certainly be back! Thank all of you so very much! Hands down the most relaxing vacation we have ever had!

Stonefield Villa is such an amazing resort with SPECTACULAR views! The value and price are so reasonable. The staff is friendly and helpful. The villas are comfortable, relaxing, and private. The onsite restaurant serves deliciously fresh food all day. No complaints! Will definitely be back.
