Stonefield VillaResort’s idyllic location has hosted centuries of visitors – the island’s earliest-known inhabitants, the Arawaks, left a postcard from 350 A.D. in the form of a petroglyph tablet that can still be seen on the resort’s verdant grounds. Stonefield’s 26 acres were also once a cocoa plantation, and today they yield mangoes, breadfruit and other delicacies that supply the onsite organic restaurant. Airy villas are outfitted in indigenous wood and stone, and guests are more likely to encounter a friendly parrot than another guest. Adventure-seekers will find plenty to do, from rainforest hikes and waterfall excursions to coral reef dives in the balmy Caribbean Sea.

Stonefield is an incredible property in a tropical paradise. My wife and I stayed in a one bedroom while the rest of our family stayed in the villa. Both accommodations suited our needs perfectly. We sought shelter in the AC of our bedrooms only at night and played all day at the nearby beaches. Sugar Beach, Malgroutete, Anse Chastenet, and Anse Mamim were all truly special. Malgretoute is the nearest beach, a short five minute steep drive downhill and we had it to ourselves. We spotted a sea turtle at Malgretoute and it swam with us for a long while. Sugar and Anse Chastenet are some of the best beaches in the world and the snorkeling was unique at each place. The beaches of these high-end resorts (Viceroy and Jade Mountain) were nice to visit but we loved coming back home to Stonefield. Stonefield feels both wild and refined, matching our families vibe perfectly. The onsite restaurant, Mango Tree, is fantastic. We ate dinner there three times. The complementary breakfasts hit the spot offering the freshest of fruits, tasty proteins and sweet, sweet carbs. Because of the steep roads, we didn't want to do too much driving at night so thank god Mango Tree was so close and exquisite. The views of the Caribbean Sea and Pitons from the restaurant and our room were divine. The grounds are immaculately landscaped and very easy to navigate even though there are quite a few hills. While walking around make sure to snatch up the falling fruit (mostly mangoes and starfruit) and put it in your pocket for an afternoon snack in your room. I'd like to personally thank all of the staff for a wonderful stay. Hopefully we are lucky enough to return one day.

If looking for privacy with some of the best views on the island, you can’t beat the value of stonefield. We could have easily spent all week in our villa relaxing but the amenities and simplicity of booking excursions with your provided phone was amazing.

The individual pools for every villa was special. The flora on the grounds were abundant and beautiful offering relaxing surroundings.

This trip was much needed on my return to St Lucia. Having my own private pool to have alone time on this solo trip is everything i wanted. A natural vibe with a gorgeous view, unblocked sunshine, open outdoor shower, everything was perfect! The staff is amazing and knowledgeable. The receptionist even helped me to get an appointment to get my hair braided since i wasn’t able to do it back home. Highly recommend if you want a nice chill vibe. The spa is gorgeous! Beautiful view! I got the body scrub, well worth the visit ! Mango tree restaurant is so yummy. I wish i could bring the plantain jam, plantain soup and everything plantain home with me ! :)
