Reviews for The Landing Lake Tahoe Resort & Spa

Great experience all around.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Great experience all around. From check in to check out it was a great stay. Location is perfect for those seeking views and access to the Lake and the energy of downtown. Dining and room service were on point and the coffee/hot cocoa stand in the reception area was very convenient. Staff were engaging, friendly and happy to help with any requests. Our stay consisted of 5 nights across 8 days and in 2 different rooms. Both rooms were well appointed and clean. The remaining 2 nights were spend close to Yosemite, so another plus for the location. The Pool and Hot tub were well kept with lots of room. Location is quiet and the views of the lake and surrounding mountain range are fantastic.

Avoid this hotel unless you want to feel like an uninvited guest at someone else’s wedding.

The hotel seems to care only about hosting events such as weddings and fundraisers, while treating regular guests as an inconvenience. These events take place literally at the doorstep of the guest rooms, making the stay unbearable. Service from the front desk and staff was extremely poor and far below expectations. On three separate occasions we were given false assurances that no events would take place during our stay. In reality, three events occurred over the course of our four-day visit. The staff operates with a dishonest approach - offering empty reassurances and then apologizing afterward, claiming there’s nothing they can do. Avoid this hotel unless you want to feel like an uninvited guest at someone else’s wedding.

Great place to relax, make sure to get the Lake view. Can rqst for microwave at the front desk. Wish parking was free, but there were plenty around the neighborhood. Oh, and champagne served on check in….ooooh

Room with a view

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

This was sold to us as a “premier” king room with lake view. And of course when we complained, we’re told that’s all we have. “Completely sold out” & they tried to justify the view. Demand to see room before accepting. Reservations made more than a month in advance

Birthday celebrations

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Stayed here recently for my friend’s birthday. It was a group of nine of us that traveled together. The staff and everyone at the Landing were so nice and super friendly. We mainly talked to Charles, Jason, Ben, and Sarafina. Everyone was super nice and treated us like family. I seriously can’t say enough amazing things about everyone here. I felt like they added such a personable touch with the shuttle and letting us know to call ahead and they would pick us up anywhere within a 2 mile range. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this place to anyone coming to Tahoe.
