Anantara Dhigu Resort & Spa

Our stay at Anantara Dhigu was amazing. It was a wonderful trip and our children loved being on the beach as soon as they woke up to go say good morning to the hermit crabs and the resident herons. We stayed in a sunrise villa, which had amazing views and calmer waters as it was enclosed and surrounded by Anantara’s sister islands. It was also one of the locations for snorkelling on the island. Perfect for young families. Our villa was also a short walk to the dhoni kids club. Our children had so much fun at the kids club with the daily activities and the care they received from the staff there. Food was a highlight of our trip. We all loved the buffet at fushi cafe and were also spoilt for choice for lunch and dinner options with the other dining options available. There is a large array of activities to choose from and activities everyday for guests to choose from. We were lucky enough to see a turtle whilst snorkelling and a manta ray just off the welcome pier. The island is full of local wildlife. The staff and villa host (Akobir) were all friendly and attentive. Our villa was cleaned twice daily and we had so much fun watching the staff climb trees to harvest the coconuts fresh for guests. Definitely hoping to make a return trip in future as we loved our time at Anantara dhigu.

We had a wonderful stay at this resort. The location was excellent—close enough to reach by speedboat without a long transfer, which made the journey very convenient. The resort itself was beautiful, clean, and well maintained. Having bicycles to get around the island was fantastic and, in our opinion, essential. The pathways were perfectly shaded by lush greenery and trees, making every ride enjoyable, even during the warmer parts of the day. I think the overwater villas are better as the bathroom and toilet is in the room itself and not outside. We had a personal liaison with direct contact throughout our stay. We had never experienced that level of personalised service before, and it made everything so much easier and more enjoyable. While some of the food and cocktails were a little disappointing. The lunch service at AQUA was a bit slow at times even when it was not busy. Also unlike the Anantara in phuket, staff at fushi didnt mention we can order food of the breakfast menu as well. The overall dining experience was still good but it could have been better. The staff in general were exceptional, particularly Chef Govind, who made a point of coming to speak with us every morning at the buffet to check if we needed anything. He consistently went above and beyond, and it was those personal touches that really made the resort stand out. Also the lady at AQUA to made mocktails at no extra charge for our kids so they could also enjoy with us. Its these It's staff like them who make memorable impression and make us lean towards staying at Anantara properties in future.

The villas are super clean. Staff are very friendly and professional. Food is excellent with all type of cuisines.
