Everything about here is amazing. Only a half hour speedboat from the airport and water that looks too good to be true. All the staff were incredible. As a young family we stayed in a villa sunrise side and highly recommend. With direct beach access and less than a 2 minute walk to the restaurants, the transfer spots and the spa we found it to be perfect. Our host Kadir took perfectly good care of us and made recommendations of what excursions were best for our family. Solo mum and a 9 and 7 year old boy we ventured out to swim with sharks and sting rays - an experience we loved and will never forget. Picnic island was great for snorkelling and the pool swing was a highlight for my boys….. that and the hammock near aqua beach. Morning beach island walks had us see nurse sharks, turtles and endless amounts of hermit crabs! The marine biologist was taking a local school through coral planting and was kind enough to let my boys join in. Another incredible experience. Rippe and all the restaurant staff and pool staff were beautiful and treated my boys like their own. They were so authentic and kind. I’m gluten free and there were several dining options. Our room was cleaned twice daily by Irshaan and was immaculate. Everyone at Anantara were amazing. I trained adequately at the air conditioned gym and chatted with the social media guru by the beach. My massage at the spa was an insane location and views below of the ocean….except I relaxed and fell asleep it was so good. This resort will definitely be one I return to. Location: Just a 30-minute speedboat ride from Male Airport—very quick and convenient, so there’s no need to worry about missing your flight. Atmosphere: The island has a fantastic vibe, and the staff are incredibly welcoming. The lagoon is stunning, featuring three distinct shades of blue; the water looks beautiful at any time, regardless of the weather. Rooms: I stayed in a beach villa for two nights and an overwater villa for two nights; each had its own unique charm. The beach villa offered direct access to the sand, and the open-air bathroom made me feel truly at one with nature. From the overwater villa, I could swim directly in the lagoon or walk straight out to the sandbank. Value: Excellent value for money; plus, guests can visit the neighboring Veli Island to use its restaurants and facilities. Cleanliness: The rooms were spotless, and the island itself was kept very clean. Noise level: You can hear the sound of the waves in the overwater villa at night, but closing the doors and windows ensures a peaceful sleep. Service: My host, Mr. Saajid, was incredibly responsive—replying instantly to any messages. My partner and I were celebrating a birthday and an anniversary, and the resort thoughtfully provided complimentary cakes and sparkling wine. Mr. Jinan, the Front Office Manager, was also extremely helpful. Amenities: Bicycles are available on the island, making it easy to get around. Snorkel masks and fins are provided for free, and kayaking is also an option. A pontoon shuttle runs to Veli Island, taking just two or three minutes to reach the other island. There are seven or eight restaurants to choose from, offering South Asian, Italian, Japanese, Thai, and Western cuisine, among others.

From the moment you step off the boat, are handed a fresh coconut, and are warmly welcomed by Petra and her incredible team, you immediately feel the magic of the Maldives. After 10 unforgettable nights, we were nowhere near ready to leave. The resort strikes the perfect balance between family-friendly and luxurious. The food was exceptional throughout our stay, with every restaurant offering delicious, high-quality options, including plenty of healthy choices. The breakfast buffet was a daily highlight. A special mention must go to the housekeeping team. The level of service was truly outstanding and made us feel like royalty. Our villa was always immaculate, beautifully presented, and somehow completely free of sand despite our family constantly tracking it in from the beach. Kadir did a fantastic job organising our reservations and accommodating every request with genuine care and professionalism, helping make our stay completely seamless. All the staff we encountered at the restaurants or around the grounds were so friendly and accommodating. We loved the spa included activities such as yoga, meditation and wine tasting. The Tropicsurf team also provided top-notch service. My husband was incredibly impressed with the attention to detail—from waxing his board and having it ready each day to transporting and caring for it throughout the trip. The surf boat experience was excellent, and the team made every outing effortless and enjoyable. The Kids Club was another highlight of our stay. Pawani and her team were absolutely wonderful and made our children feel special from the very beginning. In fact, they knew our children’s names from the moment we stepped off the boat, which was such a thoughtful touch. We loved the outdoor area with its swings and bikes, as well as the air-conditioned indoor space filled with toys and activities. Our children are still quite young, so we didn’t use the Kids Club extensively, but on the occasions we left them with the babysitter and Kids Club team, they were exceptionally well cared for. What really stood out were the little details. It was so lovely to return to our villa and find a note from the Kids Club along with a special activity prepared for the children. The farewell gift they received before departure was another beautiful touch. These extra efforts made our family feel genuinely welcomed and showed how much care the team puts into creating memorable experiences for their youngest guests. The Maldives is a truly special destination, and Anantara Dhigu made it even more magical. We left with unforgettable memories as a family and hope to return one day.

My wife, Pauliany, and I have just returned home after an unforgettable stay at Anantara Dhigu, where we celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary. The resort itself is simply incredible. The beautiful lagoon, the peaceful atmosphere, the attention to detail, and the genuine hospitality made every day feel special. We have been fortunate to visit the Anantara Dhigu before, and remains one of those rare places that truly feels like paradise. What made our stay even more memorable was Kadir. From the first day, he made us feel genuinely welcome. Always friendly, attentive, and happy to help, he consistently went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. It never felt like service it felt like genuine care. The combination of such a beautiful resort and people like Kadir is what makes Anantara Dhigu stand out. Places can be stunning, but it’s the people who create lasting memories, and Kadir certainly did that for us. Thank you to Kadir and the entire Anantara Dhigu team for making this anniversary trip so special. We leave with wonderful memories and are already looking forward to coming back.
