Anantara Dhigu Resort & Spa

We spent 2 nights at Anantara Dhigu in Sunset Beach Pool Villa, then 2 nights at Anantara Veli in Over Water Pool Villa. The two islands are close and accessible to each other. The island has wonderful wildlife. We spotted many creatures including hermit crabs and the resident “island monitor”. The lagoon is stunning with beautiful gradient blue water. We joined a cocktail-making class at the bar on the second floor of the seafood restaurant. We were lucky to have a private one-on-one lesson as no other guests signed up. There is a cocktail party every Wednesday in front of Dhigu’s main pool with unlimited alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Our butlers were great: Sandi at Dhigu and Lisa at Veli. House reef snorkelling was just average. We highly recommend the picnic island where we saw schools of fish. Early morning snorkelling would be ideal. We tried multiple restaurants and none disappointed: • Fushi Buffet: wide selection of food • Thai Restaurant: authentic Thai cuisine. We used the $60 dining credit; expect a small surcharge. Located on a small islet between Veli and Naladhu. We even saw sharks after dark. • AQUA: Italian 3-course dining, excellent steak • Cumin: Maldivian, Indian & Sri Lankan flavours. Breakfast a la carte, dinner 3-course set. Our pool villa included one complimentary floating breakfast. Watch out for crows that try to steal food!

Anantara Dhigu is literally the best ever, I'm gonna cherish these memories for ages! All the natural views here are stunning, and every single staff member is so warm and friendly. Shoutout to my butler Ram especially—he responded to every single request I had and arranged everything perfectly for us! Big thanks also to the housekeeping staff and all the restaurant servers. Thank you so much to every team member at Digoo for giving me such amazing memories, my family and I will never forget this, we're super grateful!

A Wonderful and Relaxing Stay in the Maldives 🌴 We had a wonderful time in the Maldives! The whole experience was relaxing, comfortable, and memorable. 1. Beautiful and comfortable villas Both the beach villas and overwater villas were very comfortable. The overwater villas were surprisingly quiet, and we had no issues with noise at all. My parents preferred the beach villas, while I personally loved staying over the water. Both had their own charm! 2. Amazing beach and ocean The sand was incredibly soft, and the ocean was beautiful and relaxing. I really loved the peaceful atmosphere of being surrounded by the sea. It was exactly the kind of tropical getaway I had been looking forward to. 3. Excellent service and reliable staff Our butler RAM was incredibly responsible, patient, and helpful throughout our stay. When one of us got injured, he even consulted a doctor for us and brought over the recommended medication. He was also very reliable whenever we had questions about schedules, activities, or arrangements. The activity instructor/coach Betty was equally professional and attentive. Having Chinese-speaking staff available made everything much easier and more reassuring for us. She was very knowledgeable about the local marine life, seasonal conditions, and what animals we could realistically expect to see during different excursions. We really appreciated their honesty and expertise. 4. Delicious food, especially the cheese! Overall, the food was quite good! My personal favorite was Aqua Bar, the Italian restaurant. The cheese was absolutely delicious and probably one of my favorite things I ate during the trip! The seafood was a little overcooked, and the burger was just average, but the cheese was seriously amazing. The pizza was surprisingly good as well. We had breakfast at Fushi Cafe every morning, and the selection was generous. I especially enjoyed the pancakes and eggs! 5. Adorable and entertaining wildlife The animals around the island were fascinating! Many seemed completely unafraid of people, which made observing them even more fun. We even had herons trying to steal food from us, which was pretty funny and definitely memorable. 6. One small complaint: drinks are not included My only real complaint was that drinks were charged separately. I wish at least some basic beverages could have been included with the meals. Having to pay extra for every Coke or fruit juice made us hesitate to order them. Perhaps it has something to do with the limited freshwater resources on the islands, which I can understand, but including a few drink options would definitely improve the dining experience. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The beautiful surroundings, comfortable accommodation, attentive staff, delicious food, and charming wildlife made this a truly lovely holiday. We would be happy to come back! --- 一次非常舒适、愉快的马尔代夫之旅 🌴 这次在马尔代夫度过了一段非常愉快的时光，整体体验很放松、很舒适，也留下了很多美好的回忆。😇 1. 住宿舒适，沙屋和水屋各有特色 无论是沙屋还是水屋，住起来都很舒服。水屋比想象中安静很多，完全没有噪音困扰。我爸妈更喜欢沙屋，我个人更喜欢水屋 2. 沙滩和大海都很棒 沙子非常细软，踩上去很舒服，海水也很美。特别喜欢这种被大海包围的感觉，整个氛围宁静又放松，完全符合我对海岛度假的期待。 3. 管家和活动教练都非常负责 我们的管家RAM非常有耐心，也很认真负责。旅行中途我们有人受了伤，他还特意帮忙咨询医生，并把推荐的药品送了过来。平时无论是询问时间、活动安排，还是其他事情，他的回复和处理都很可靠，让人很放心。 游玩项目的教练Betty也非常专业负责，而且有专门会说中文的工作人员，对我们来说非常方便。她对当地的海洋生物、季节变化以及不同项目能够看到哪些动物都十分了解，也会如实告诉我们当前季节是否适合观赏某些动物，而不是一味推荐项目。这一点让我们觉得非常安心。 4. 食物不错，尤其喜欢奶酪！ 整体来说，餐食还是挺好吃的。我个人最喜欢的是意式餐厅 Aqua Bar，尤其是那里的奶酪，真的特别好吃，算是这次旅行中让我印象最深刻的食物之一！ 海鲜稍微有一点老，汉堡比较普通，不过奶酪真的很值得一试。披萨也意外地不错。 早餐我们每天都去 Fushi Cafe，种类很丰富，松饼和鸡蛋都很好吃，每天早上吃得很满足。 5. 岛上的动物非常有趣 岛上的动物都很有意思，而且似乎完全不怕人，可以近距离观察它们。甚至还有苍鹭跑来偷吃我们的食物，很有趣也很可爱 6. 唯一的小遗憾是饮料需要额外收费 唯一觉得不太满意的地方，就是饮料基本都需要单独付费。其实挺希望餐费里能包含一些基础饮品的，不然每次想喝可乐、果汁之类的，都要犹豫一下要不要额外点。可能和岛上淡水资源比较匮乏有关，这一点倒也能够理解，不过如果能在用餐时提供一些免费的饮品选择，整体体验应该会更好。 总的来说，这次旅行还是非常满意的。美丽的自然环境、舒适的住宿、认真负责的工作人员、不错的餐食，还有可爱的野生动物，都让这次度假成为了一段非常美好的回忆。以后有机会还愿意再来！
