Our romantic getaway at Anantara Dighu was just perfect. We stayed in a Sunrise Villa with beach access, and waking up to walk straight from the room into the ocean for a morning snorkel was the highlight of our daily routine. The best part of this resort is the variety; you aren't confined to just one spot. They provide bikes for everyone, which we loved using to explore the island and get around easily. We also enjoyed being able to hop over to their sister island Veli for breakfast at the Cumin and the incredible sushi at Origami. Back on the Dighu side, Sea.Fire.Salt. was another standout for us—the food and the setting were both spot on. What really made the trip feel "premium" without being stiff was our Villa Host Sandi. She was amazing—we just messaged her on WhatsApp whenever we needed anything, and she handled all our reservations and activity bookings like a personal butler. It made the whole experience totally seamless so we could just focus on snorkeling and relaxing. Even the beach service was effortless — Xavier was always around at just the right moment to keep us topped up with fresh coconut water while we were lounging by the beach. If you're looking for a high-end escape that gives you plenty of variety and top-tier service, this is definitely the place.

We had a wonderful stay at Anantara Dhigu Maldives Resort and overall really enjoyed our experience. One of the biggest highlights was the service — especially from Ram. He was incredibly attentive, friendly, and always ready to help with anything we needed. His professionalism and warm attitude truly made our stay more comfortable and memorable. The resort itself is beautiful, with a great concept of three islands in one system, which gives variety and allows you to explore different restaurants and атмосpheres during your stay. The food was very good — both the buffet and à la carte restaurants. We especially enjoyed the teppanyaki show — more of a fun experience than just a dinner. The villas are nice, and it’s important to choose the right category depending on your preferences, as some views are definitely better than others. If I had to mention one downside, it would be the proximity to Malé. While it makes the transfer very convenient, in some areas you can see local islands with buildings, which slightly affects the “remote island” feeling. Overall, it’s a great resort with excellent service, and I would definitely consider coming back.

The deluxe sunset water villa with pool has such a stunning lagoon and sunset view. All the staff were professional and friendly. Special shout-out to Simah, our host, who has been really nice to us.

Dhigu has, objectively, one of the most breathtaking lagoons in Maldives, encircled by four tiny islands you can walk to, with no artificial pontoons or walls obstructing the feeling of serenity. Island vegetation is lush and kept in perfection. Every corner of the island is basically a postcard scenery. Facilities are another treasure, build in local architecture with a scent of modern interior design. As an interior designer, I found restaurants the most breathtaking. It has it all, from cute kids club, serious water sports service to fully equipped gym. With two kids, have stayed in spacious and well designed water villa, stunningly placed over a lagoon, hearing only waves and occasional splashes of reef sharks playing around - it was absolutely magical. When it comes to the staff, organisation and friendliness, Anantara really shoots over the expectations. Our host Kadir helped to support even most random requests we had. It was so clean I felt i do not belong in such accommodation :) hence, room is cleaned twice a day. Anantara is a five star resort in Maldives, so prices are high, especially for additional activities, but it still represents a good value for money for how much it delivers. I hope the time comes soon for us to return.
