Anantara Dhigu Resort & Spa

We had a wonderful stay at this resort. The location was excellent—close enough to reach by speedboat without a long transfer, which made the journey very convenient. The resort itself was beautiful, clean, and well maintained. Having bicycles to get around the island was fantastic and, in our opinion, essential. The pathways were perfectly shaded by lush greenery and trees, making every ride enjoyable, even during the warmer parts of the day. I think the overwater villas are better as the bathroom and toilet is in the room itself and not outside. We had a personal liaison with direct contact throughout our stay. We had never experienced that level of personalised service before, and it made everything so much easier and more enjoyable. While some of the food and cocktails were a little disappointing. The lunch service at AQUA was a bit slow at times even when it was not busy. Also unlike the Anantara in phuket, staff at fushi didnt mention we can order food of the breakfast menu as well. The overall dining experience was still good but it could have been better. The staff in general were exceptional, particularly Chef Govind, who made a point of coming to speak with us every morning at the buffet to check if we needed anything. He consistently went above and beyond, and it was those personal touches that really made the resort stand out. Also the lady at AQUA to made mocktails at no extra charge for our kids so they could also enjoy with us. Its these It's staff like them who make memorable impression and make us lean towards staying at Anantara properties in future.

I must start this review odd with a warning: if you are looking to visit here once, this isn’t the place for you because I promise you, this place and the people here are so amazing that you will find ourself returning. It will ruin all other holidays for you because nothing can top the beauty of this island along with the service provided by the most wonderful people we’ve met! This is our fourth time at Anantara Maldives. Albeit we took a 7 year break due to having children and now If anhtbing, everything has gotten even better! I feel we’ve been left with no choice after our amazing stay that we have to come back and I must say we are so excited for it! From the moment you land to when you’re back at the airport. Every minute will be a minute to cherish forever. The staff here are wonderful. Pawani, mokshedul, kobir, jinan and Amir. I can guarantee they’ll be so kind and ensure you are so happy throughout your stay. If you have kids and are wondering if they’ll enjoy the Maldives, I was wondering the same - my kids absolutely loved it. Yes, they are asking to come back. After here we went to a stunning hotel with an on site water park. As parents we know how much kids love the water park. My kids preferred the Maldives! That’s how amazing our trip was. There’s a beautiful kids club managed by the amazing Pawani my kids loved it. (They don’t generally like kids clubs so we were very happy they enjoyed it here). Mokshedul, kobir and amir will ensure you have everything you need whilst eating. The most wonderful men. And Jinan who is the manager was truly made Anantara so much better than what it was which it was already so amazing yet he managed to make it so so much better. He ensured we had an amazing stay to the point we will definitely be back. Our first trip at Anantara Maldives was booked after a lot of research by my wife. We’ve had no regrets. We wouldn’t even dare think about visiting another island as we are confident the staff is what made it so wonderful here that we would hate to go anywhere else. If you have children, I wouldn’t even hesitate or bother to think about anywhere else. You must experience Anantara dhigu. Even as a single traveller or a couple, it’s amazing. We’ve visited as a couple and as a family and we enjoyed both.
