Hello, I would love to share a very warm review about Anantara Dhigu Maldives Resort. My name is Anastasia, and I am a travel agency owner. This was our third time visiting Anantara. Every year on February 8th, we celebrate my birthday in the Maldives, and this year we once again chose Anantara, traveling with our child and close friends. Before arrival, I wrote to the resort team to let them know about this special occasion and kindly asked, if possible, for a villa with a great location or an upgrade. We have always left this resort with wonderful impressions, which is why we keep returning. This time, however, we arrived on February 8th and were disappointed to be assigned a villa without an ocean view. Our room had a “Welcome Back” greeting, while our friends — staying next door — received a beautifully decorated bed with flowers and a “Happy Birthday” message, despite not celebrating any special occasion. When they asked about it, they were told that such decorations are prepared for all guests, which made the situation even more confusing for us. I immediately asked to speak with a manager to request a villa change, as the one we received did not reflect the Maldives dream experience we were hoping for. We were informed that the resort was fully booked due to high season and that they would try their best — but later we were told that nothing could be changed. Everything turned around the next day when we met the resort manager, Alok. He approached us with genuine care and a sincere desire to make our stay joyful and beautiful — and he truly succeeded. Thanks to him, we received a villa upgrade for the remaining three nights, and he also arranged a beautiful birthday gift: a private cruise for our family with champagne, fresh fruits, and a birthday cake. Everything was organized with exceptional attention, warmth, and generosity. People like Alok — with such a kind heart and a true passion for making guests happy — are rare and incredibly valuable. His professionalism, empathy, and dedication completely transformed our experience. Because of him, we once again felt that Anantara is not just a resort, but a place where you are welcomed like family. We are truly grateful for meeting such a wonderful person, and we will absolutely return again with our family and friends — because places are defined by the people who lead them, and Anantara is fortunate to have someone like Alok.
