Very nice resort , 35 minutes convenient speed boat ride , the employees are amazing and friendly, they tried their best to make everything as you like, the over water sea villa is nice one also the beach villa is amazing with beach access , it is white sandy beach island, I love it .

this is our 4th year visiting the same resort, we always have new things to do and we always sad to leave the place !

We will come again! One of the best food on Maldives, we were very impressed with the resort despite we are frequent travelers to Maldives and visited such places as Four Seasons, Gili, Six Senses…

The Hotel has the best staff among many other hotels I have visited. That was the highlight of my stay. The hotel also has great amenities, beautiful beaches and an extraordinary service. I would like to specifically thank our host Kadir (Abdulkadir) for his great attention to details and amazing service. I was also amazed by the Fushi cafe staff members' attention to details and friendliness especially Ibra (Ibrahim), Shah (Shahin), Ayushma and the Chef who was amazing. They always had in mind my dietary restrictions and prepared special dishes just for me. I kept coming back there for dinner every night.

🌴 My Experience at Anantara Dhigu After my first experience at Anantara Dhigu in 2022, I decided to come back again this year. I wanted to share my experience honestly, including the things I loved and a few things I felt could have been better. 🤍 🏝️ Booking & Communication From the very beginning, communicating with Rika, the reservations manager, was very easy and smooth. I booked my stay through her and also made the payment through her. Since this was my second visit, I shared all my preferences and requests with the team before arriving. I specifically mentioned that I wanted a villa with very high privacy, away from noise, but at the same time not too far from the restaurants and other facilities. I also mentioned that I was travelling with children and preferred two separate beds for them. The team was very cooperative and prepared everything exactly as requested. ✈️ Arrival & Transfer Our arrival at the airport and transfer to the resort were very smooth and easy. We didn’t have to wait for a long time. The speedboat ride to the resort took around 30 minutes. They provided us with water and cold towels, and there was also free Wi-Fi on the speedboat. Check-in was quick and smooth. Since we arrived before the official check-in time, they were kind enough to arrange an early check-in for us, which we really appreciated. 🏡 The Villa We stayed in a Sunset Beach Pool Villa – Villa No. 56, for anyone asking about the villa number. The villa was beautiful, and the best part for me was the 100% privacy. 🤍 They arranged the villa with: * 1 King-size bed * 2 separate single beds for the children We also had a private butler, Shujaau, whom we could contact throughout our stay. 🧹 Housekeeping & Cleanliness — 10/10 I would honestly give the housekeeping and cleanliness 10/10. The villa was cleaned twice a day, and they provided almost everything we needed. We used to request milk for the kids, and they provided it daily and free of charge, which was a very nice touch. 🍽️ Restaurants Fushi — 10/10 ⭐️ Fushi was our breakfast and dinner restaurant, and it operates as a buffet. The food was really delicious, both for breakfast and dinner. Every evening had a different theme, which kept dinner interesting. Everything you could need was available, and if you couldn’t find something you wanted, you could simply ask the chef and they would prepare it for you. All the staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. A special thank you to the chef at the egg station — unfortunately, I didn’t get his name, but he makes the best eggs ever! 😂🤍 Definitely try his eggs! And a special thank you to Chef Thamer, who was extremely helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. ⸻ Aqua — 5.5/10 Aqua is both a restaurant and a bar, and unfortunately, it was the only restaurant available for lunch. Lunch time can get very busy, and sometimes it felt like you were lucky if the staff noticed you. There was one particular female staff member whose name I unfortunately didn’t get. She was one of the few who was consistently very friendly and attentive. As for the food, honestly, I didn’t find it that impressive. After a couple of days, the food started to feel repetitive and a little boring, mainly because there aren’t many other lunch options and the menu is quite limited. * Pizza: very average * Pasta: good * Burrata salad: delicious! I literally had it every day 😂 * Vanilla custard tart with vanilla ice cream: really delicious * Panna cotta: also very good — don’t miss it! The kids usually ordered the burger, chicken soup and Margherita pizza. They also have Sea Salt Fire, their steak restaurant, but unfortunately, we didn’t get the chance to try it. ⸻ 🌶️ Cumin — 10/10 ❤️ This was definitely the highlight of our dining experience! Cumin is located on the other island, and you can get there by speedboat in around 5 minutes. It’s an Indian restaurant serving breakfast and dinner, with an à la carte menu. We had dinner there twice, and honestly, I told them: “If I ever come back to this island, I’ll come back just for this restaurant!” 😂 The food was SO delicious — from the starters to the main courses and even the desserts. Literally everything we tried was delicious. What I recommend: Starters: 🥩 Grilled beef 🍗 Grilled chicken Main courses: 🍤 Prawn biryani 🍗 Chicken biryani Desserts: Honestly… try everything! 😂 Every single dessert we tried was delicious. Don’t skip dessert here! The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant itself has a beautiful atmosphere. Food: 10/10 Atmosphere: 10/10 Service: 10/10 ⸻ 👧🏻 Kids Club The first time we visited the island, back in 2022, I remember the Kids Club being completely different. When we came back this time, we noticed that they had changed it. My kids didn’t really ask to spend time there, but we did collect their bicycles from the Kids Club, so I had a chance to have a look around. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the activities schedule was actually full of different activities. However, I personally felt that the place was quite quiet and somewhat empty. I’m not sure if it was just during our visit, but the overall atmosphere felt a little too calm. They also offer a nanny service for babies, which is a nice option for families travelling with little ones. ⸻ 🧑🏻‍💼 Butler Service Overall, our butler Shujaau was helpful and did his best to assist us. However, I do have one comment regarding the butler service. There were several times when I messaged him on WhatsApp and had to wait quite a long time for a reply, which sometimes meant that I had to contact reception instead. Also, I didn’t always feel like we were receiving a true personal butler service throughout the stay. For me, a personal butler should be more proactive. For example, from the moment we arrive, I would expect them to give us a list of the daily activities and then update us each day about what’s happening around the resort — where and when the activities are taking place, what we might enjoy, etc. I hope the resort can pay a little more attention to this aspect in the future, because it can make a big difference to the overall experience. ⸻ 🎁 A Few Things I Didn’t Like Before our arrival, I specifically requested by email some souvenirs and water bottles for the kids, as I had seen other guests receiving them on social media. I was told that these would be arranged for my children, but unfortunately, they weren’t provided when we arrived. It’s a small thing, but when you specifically request something and receive confirmation that it will be arranged, you naturally expect to find it there. I also noticed that the level of attention can differ from one guest to another. Some guests seemed to receive much more attention and special treatment, while others received a more standard level of service. I honestly wondered whether this has anything to do with whether a guest is well-known on social media or not. I can’t say for sure, but it was something I noticed during our stay. ⸻ 🤍 Overall Experience Overall, I would say that my first experience at Anantara Dhigu in 2022 was better than this visit. However, that doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy this trip. Would I recommend Anantara Dhigu? Absolutely, yes! 🌴 Especially if you’re looking for a beautiful 5-star resort that’s relatively close to the airport, it’s definitely a great option. Would I come back again? Definitely! 🤍 The points I mentioned above didn’t ruin my experience at all, and thankfully, we still had a lovely holiday and created beautiful memories.
