Reviews for The Fairmont Southampton
We stayed at the Fairmont Southampton on the Gold floor for a week in September and like always was great!Ā This was our third time there in 3 years and as always, Pascoal, Rolly and Kim were just fantastic. John Herbert the gold floor manager did everything possible to advice us as well as accommodate us to make the trip perfect. The staff at the gold floor desk were extremely helpful. They have added a playroom since we were last there which is great. I hope that can maintain their level of excellence as part of the Accor chain.

The hotel when you walk in is beautiful. Unfortunately our room which we paid additional for the club level was musty smelling and the air conditioner did not work our entire stay. Young lady in the spa was extremely rude.
Room rate included 2 continental breakfast buffets, but as I was alone, I was not allowed to have the complete breakfast buffet, unless I paid a $12 upcharge. Hotel restaurants are so expensive, that one must walk to nearby restaurants, which are 1km to 2km away. Otherwise I had an excellent stay at this beautiful spacious location!

Went there for Thanksgiving. You might not think that is the best time to visit Bermuda, but it can be very nice and still warm that time of year, We were disappointed that the beach sea food restaurant was not open, but there are a number of other options. Breakfast is terrific in their Windows restaurant, with an elaborate all-you-can eat buffet, In fact, we prepaid for that breakfast every day (at a slight discount) knowing how good it was. It is also (in my opinion) the best choice for Thanksgiving dinner. It has a lavish buffet. The rooms are nice, but the suites are better. After a day of good sleep, a family with kids that like to play basketball indoors moved in above us. The only option the manager could come up with was for us to move to the Gold Floor. We had to pay extra, but the Gold Floor is really worth it, in our opinion. We did not take advantage of the breakfast buffet because we previously paid for Windows. But everything else was first class on the Gold Floor. If we return (and I presume we will) I'm sure we will want to Gold Floor next time.

Hotel service was fine. Bar drinks excellent, be aware that the tip is included on the bar bill. Hotel has a shuttle to bring you back and forth to their private beach which has a bar and restaurant on the beach. There is a ferry ride into town that's included. After 6:30 pm the spa pool opens to all. There is a jacuzzi and waterfall as well. Outside pool also has an eatery and bar. Golf course is in great shape and costs about $250 to play. They recently opened a new sports bar with a bar menu on top of the golf shop. Front desk gives out free water bottles every day. You just need to ask. Had the best dinner at Fourways Inn. Need to make reservations. Unfortunately when I was there, some restaurants were closed like the Waterloo and Oceans.
