Wind rustles through white plantation shutters at Cobblers Cove, a country manor on the west coast of Barbados where life carries an air of its colonial past. Afternoons pause for English tea in the Great House pavilion, tropical fruit accompanying delicate scones. Each morning, resident fisherman Barker sets out for the day’s catch – join him if you'd like – to be served up at the restaurant awarded best in the country by the Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association.

I never imagined the most perfect resort until I got to Cobbler’s Cove. I have been all over the world and I am already planning our trip back here. Every year for the rest of my life. My best friend got married here. We stayed from Thursday to Monday. The staff is beyond anything you can imagine. They take care of you, they genuinely care about you as a person, not just a guest of their resort. The amenities are beyond anything on their website or what you’d expect. I have never been to a resort with the most caring, kind, attentive, and loving people. Please go to this resort just to meet Virgil. You will never meet anyone like him in your life. He took care of me, noticing I needed something before I even realized I did. In making sure I was happy, knowing exactly what kind of drinks I’d like that I didn’t even know I did. If you looked hungry but didn’t realize it from enjoying the sun, he’d just slide a menu over to you. That kind of care. He shines. I won’t spoil his aura on this review. You just have to meet him. Gregory is also someone you will appreciate. These two men are gems. The rooms and the property were incredible, like something you read in a novel. Everything literally was PERFECT. I give honest reviews on other platforms and there’s always some negative thing I could say about a place. For Cobbler’s Cove, my only negative is that I had to leave this place. You’re probably not even reading this anymore and I could write 500 pages about this resort. The staff, the FOOD oh my goodness the food!!! In 5 days, not one thing I didn’t like and I am a picky eater. It was so fresh, with attentive staff they literally will go above and beyond for you. You forget something? They’ll walk in the middle of the night to the gas (petrol) station and get it for you. I asked a staff member to make sure I was awake the next morning. Instead of calling my room, banging on my door, the gardener just happens to come by in the morning and be raking the sidewalk. It was like the most subtle natural way to wake me up. What kind of resort cares about you that much? This one does and I am obsessed. My best friend’s wedding was unbelievable. If you have any doubt in your mind about this place, my husband would say how picky I am and I have not a single bad thing to say about the property, the staff, nothing! I CANNOT wait to go back. Go put your bare feet on the stone patio by the ocean on a place that feels like historic but modern palace and have the best experience of your life. You won’t regret it. It’s a place to escape to and I will for many years. Please go meet Virgil and Gregory. Go see a gorgeous experience with the staff and food that makes you feel like a VIP guest in their home. Can’t wait to go back. Btw, my friend’s wedding was perfect. Weddings are never perfect. This place made a perfect wedding.

Probably the most beautiful hotel, I’ve ever seen. The character and aesthetic is stunning and really honours its surroundings and history. The team at Cobblers Cove were outstanding and accommodating. They made our stay feel really special and there were many added personal touches. The room was perfect for us. Very spacious and the kitchenette area allows for a little autonomy which is nice. Beach access is great, the water there is crystal clear. The pool area is also beautifully maintained and the team ensures everything is always tidy. What stood out the most for us was the restaurant. After having dinner there our first night we decided to eat there every night as it was excellent. Daily changing menu, everything fresh and local and beautifully presented. The overall atmosphere was elevated yet friendly and approachable with tonnes of charm. Can’t wait to visit again soon!

This hotel completely exceeded our expectations. The lush gardens and stunning decor set the tone right away: elegant but relaxed, with such a great vibe throughout. Every little detail was so thoughtfully done: handwritten welcome notes, cookies by the bed, beds prepped for sleep, and lovely local toiletries that felt like a treat. The service was incredibly personal. They greeted us by name and already had our favorite seats ready. It felt like they truly got us. The food and drinks were top-notch (afternoon tea was a favorite!), and we had so much fun with the watersports. Just the right balance of chill and adventure. Highly recommended!

Cobblers Cove was superb. We could not have had a better two weeks. We had an extremely comfortable suite, which was airy, beautifully clean, and had a wonderful terrace overlooking the lush gardens. We loved the bar with its delicious cocktails and the outstanding restaurant. As we were with our children who are in their twenties we also made the most of the fantastic water sports, in particular the waterskiing. Listing all these excellent elements, however, doesn’t really do justice to the special quality of this wonderful place: Cobblers is more than the sum of its parts because of its staff. From gardeners to boat drivers to barmen to housekeeping, every single individual gave us the warmest of welcomes and were attentive and professional. We really cannot recommend Cobblers Cove enough- six stars!

Cobblers Cove is a very pretty hotel — very classic and understated, with that old-school charm that feels like it could be a backdrop in a James Bond film. The food was good, and we especially enjoyed the Sunday BBQ. Service was friendly and efficient. You do have access to the beach, though it’s worth noting there aren’t loungers or much set up down there — more of a place for a quick swim than a full beach day. Overall, an intimate and relaxing place to unwind.
