About the Hotel

Wind rustles through white plantation shutters at Cobblers Cove, a country manor on the west coast of Barbados where life carries an air of its colonial past. Afternoons pause for English tea in the Great House pavilion, tropical fruit accompanying delicate scones. Each morning, resident fisherman Barker sets out for the day’s catch – join him if you'd like – to be served up at the restaurant awarded best in the country by the Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association.

Peaceful and Beautiful

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 14 hours ago

Only stayed 3 nights as moving onto St Lucia but loved the ambience and high standard of everything. Food was good , gardens and rooms beautiful. Staff lovely and helpful. Only disappointment was the sunbed reserving from guests. Unable to get a bed in the sunshine due to guests reserving them and keeping them all day. The policy against reservation isn’t enforced. If you want the shade it won’t be a problem. Glad we didn’t stay longer for this reason alone. Otherwise it’s a small hotel with lots of attention to detail. Decor is adorable. Easy access to the sea and a 30 mins complimentary speed boat trip is a nice touch. Fond memories of Cobblers Cove.

3.5 star experience at a 5* price

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

Location is good, beachfront and around 40-60 minutes from Bridgetown Atmosphere - very nice. Private . Peaceful Rooms nicely decorated by no tv. Value not worth it. Cobblers cove is beautiful and there were many great things, the room was spacious, the balcony overlooked the garden and listening to the birds singing was great. They give you cold towels to cool off at the pool. The breakfast was sensational, the water sports are included. Afternoon tea is nice especially the lemonade. But for the same price you can stay in a 5* all inclusive. Here you get breakfast only and if you want lunch it works out around $125 usd for 2 people, dinner around $175 usd for 2 people. The tone was set when they said, you can drink tap water rather than a complimentary bottled water. They request you use specific sunscreens to avoid staining the furniture yet the one I bought from the shop stained my clothes. No tv in the room. I get that you don’t go on holiday to watch tv but it’s nice to have the option. The staff were friendly and it was a lovely stay, it’s just a bit too expensive for what it offers.

Very quiet hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

This hotel is good for couples and is very quiet. Plenty of lounge chairs arranged in sets of 2 so if you have a large party, it’s kind of hard to put the chairs next to one another, but if it’s just the two of you, it’s fantastic. Very quiet by the pool, no music during the day and plenty of shade the staff here is very goodand very nice. They do a great job and we’re very helpful. The restaurant was good for dinner and breakfast was very good also. The hotel is a little far from holetown and from some other restaurants. Also, I didn’t realize that this hotel in a lot of the rooms does not have a windows. They only have shutters so I would definitely make sure that you confirm that your room has windows. We had to move our room as the first one had no air-conditioning in the living area and the bugs were coming in like crazy. The second room we went to which was closer to reception had full windows and air-conditioning in both rooms. If you want a quiet, peaceful hotel that I would stay here but for me, I need a little bit more action also no TVs anywhere on the property and if they do bring one in you have to make sure that you have your streaming account. In all nice people at this hotel, but not my cup of tea.

Disappointing experience at a lovely hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Lovely hotel and beautiful setting very pretty all in pink and white. Lots of niggles though. Internet is very poor and went down completely this afternoon Tonight we had no water at all, so could not shower or flush a toilet, and the phone in the room does not work, so each time we trott off to reception. Such a shame as it bills as a great hotel
