It was an amazing run away for 3 nights. The hotel is situated in a beautiful valley kind of far away from everything and the atmosphere is amazing. The hotel staff was super friendly and very professional. Everyone took great care of us. It was definitely one of the best experiences 💛 Food is exceptional 💛

I found this oasis through friends that had stayed and were praising the spa. I was attempting to book during probably the busiest night for Kandy, the night of the T20 match between Australia and Sri Lanka. We needed accomodation for a very last minute trip to Sri Lanka to watch cricket with our 9 year son. Under 12 years are not permitted to stay in the chalets but were allowed to stay in the villas. The wellness resort is spectacular and breathtaking. The staff were so attentive and friendly. The butler service was lovely and food was the highest quality. Our villa experience left us rested, calmed & wanting to return. We contemplated missing the cricket match ….. but it was an amazing game to see live. I will be returning for a longer stay with no work, computers & no cricket. We thoroughly enjoyed the spa & treatment options. Thank you again for finding availability for us. It was magical to have a spa treatment with the rain falling gently outside. I thought for a moment that it was audio recording. Our son stated that it was the nicest place he had ever stayed in. He loved watching the monkeys play in the trees. This made me happy because he didn’t ask for a TV or iPad once and was enjoying the natural environment in front of him. Santani anticipated all our needs and really looked after us. I will definitely come back and occupy the villa again, this time with some friends for the phone detox, spa and the yoga.

The warmth of the hospitality, paired with exquisitely curated meals, was truly sublime — and the hosts were nothing short of wonderful.

What a wonderful peaceful, soothing , beautiful place. The treatments were given by very talented and knowledgeable therapists which ere excellent. The foods at meal times was just amazing. The staff were very engaging and friendly, a special mention for Sashi who really took care of us during our stay. Thank you to every one.

Santani Wellness Kandy offers a unique concept focused on disconnecting from everyday distractions and reconnecting with your senses. The limited phone use policy is a refreshing idea and aligns well with the overall wellness philosophy. The hotel’s location, set in the middle of nature with beautiful views, creates a peaceful and calming atmosphere. The architecture blends nicely with the surroundings, and the food was consistently good and thoughtfully prepared. However, considering the very high price point — even compared to other high-end hotels in Sri Lanka — the overall experience did not fully justify the cost. The service was inconsistent. On several occasions, we had to ask multiple times for simple things like sugar or an additional glass of wine. The bar in the main building was often unstaffed, leading to wait times of 10–15 minutes just to place an order, which felt out of place for a hotel in this price category. While the yoga area can be used for workouts, the lack of a proper gym is, in my opinion, not appropriate for a hotel positioning itself at this level. Another drawback was the absence of air conditioning. Although the natural airflow system is an interesting and sustainable idea, it did not work effectively. The glass front heats up the room during the day, and without shutters or external shading to block the sun, the room remains warm well into the night and only cools down in the early morning hours. Overall, Santani’s concept and location are impressive, but there are several operational and comfort-related issues that need improvement to truly justify the premium pricing.
