Reviews for The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis
This hotel does not live up to the brand expectations. It has an excellent location in Clayton with some good food options near by. I have stayed here many times in the last six months. As a consultant, who is always on the road, I looks for hotels that offer personalized service. I expect after a few visits, for the front desk to recognize me and call me by name. I expect the wait staff to do the same. After six months of staying in the hotel, each time I arrive is the same as the first time: courteous but cold. The front desk is incapable of sending out folios via email, unless you stand there and watch them do it. Their website doesn’t offer a way to download a copy of your folio. All of these are relatively minor inconveniences. My real customer service issue started when the hotel charged me for some one else’s hotel bill. When I was finally able to get I contact with the billing person (only available M-F 10am-4pm) she would not issue a credit until they had a credit card from the other person. It wasn’t until I insisted in speaking to the manager that I was credited the charge. I was given an apology and nothing else. No offer of to make up for the inconvenience, no points, no free drink coupon. Almost a week later, a manager called and again apologized, but seemed to shrug off the issue as just one of those things. In addition to the Ritz, I have stayed at the Four Seasons, the Westin and the Magnolia. If points aren’t important to you, stay at the Four Seasons. Otherwise, either of the other two hotel have better service than the Ritz.

All employees were helpful and went the extra mile. The rooms are bigm and the beds are comfortable. The lounge had great food with impeccable service. All the food was great. We were there for a wedding and they did a great job

I've stayed at this great hotel last few times whenever in town. And somehow there happened to be loud wedding parties at the lobby while I was checking in during the last two times....The parties ended at around midnight. The newly renovated gym is awesome, where I remembered used to be a small swimmimg pool. Breakfast at "The Restaurant" is fantastic. And there's also several nice restaurants just steps outside of the property.

This Ritz is a nice city hotel. Within walking distance of some very nice restaurants. Has that old school feel with the cigar bar and chandeliers. Nice night life on the weekends with live music. Probably more of a couple/business type of hotel vs family/kid friendly.

I love Ritz Carlton’s but this one in Clayton suburb of St Louis is one of the best I have stayed in. The service by the entire professional staff was excellent. The Club Lounge has quality food/healthy snack options in a beautiful, quiet atmosphere and again outstanding service. The rooms are well appointed, quiet and relaxing. I was there for business and will return but would also come to this hotel on a personal visit with friends and family. Well done RC St Louis!
