Several times stay at this hotel and never been disappointed. Tobe strict only criticism is the check in and check out due to slow registration process. Perhaps it is due to local bureaucracy. Price is a bit expensive but it is worth paying for a good ratio quality/price.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights for a work trip. I had a fabulous stay - the staff were all excellent particularly the staff at the Imperial Restaurant. The breakfast was excellent. I was very happy with my room - the bed was comfortable; good pillows. The location of the hotel is excellent for exploring the city. I have nothing negative at all to say about this hotel.

The lofty foyer is impressive. Our reservation stated a welcome drink on arrival, we were offered a glass of water!!. The first room we were given seemed OK, so as we were tired after a long journey, with an early start, we decided to relax and dine in the hotel. The first blunder. The Imperial restaurant was,not busy so we ordered two courses from the menu each and waited. After half a hour we asked how long would the food take to come. Five minutes, we were told, however after another half hour we decided to give up waiting and go out in search of something to eat. On our return, before retiring Michele discovered that there was no hot water in the shower. We called reception, they said they would send an engineer in 5 minutes. 40 minutes later, we let the engineer in, only to be told he couldn,t solve the problem. Another call to reception and finally after almost an hour, Maria, the duty manager came to show us to another room. So we packed our cases and were moved to a room on a different floor. We were told that we were being upgraded. Although the room was larger the twin beds were narrower. I couldn,t sleep all night. The following morning I asked Maria if I could go back to a similar room as the original one we were given. No problem, so we packed our cases again and went out to tour the city. On our return at around 5.30 that evening, nothing had been done. Now enter Ekaterina. She showed us two rooms but neither had hot water. So we went back to the impressive foyer for another 30 minutes. Now enter Valentina, another duty manager, who took us to a similar room to the one with the narrow beds in which we didn,t sleep the previous night. By this stage we were exhausted, There was no point in trying to find a better room. After another sleepless night, Maxim the guest agent asked us if we were enjoying our stay!!!!! He said I wlll sort out the problem. We said don,t bother. We really couldn,t face packing our cases again. Finally after a day out sightseeing in this stunning city. I felt the need of a nightcap from the minibar. It was locked. I called reception to be told that I hadn,t paid a deposit. I pointed out that I had left my credit card when we arrived. An hour later somebody came to try to open the minibar. By this stage I had lost my thirst.
