Lydmar Hotel in Stockholm, Sweden
Lydmar Hotel is a luxurious boutique hotel with uniquely furnished rooms. It is located in the city centre of Stockholm with views over the water and Royal Palace. We like to keep it simple and straightforward in a relaxed and informal environment and believe than an abundance of impressions. All the room show beautiful view over the city of Stockholm. Some of them face the Royal Palace and the harbor others have windows overlooking the terrace, the park and Strandvägen.
Relax in a sauna and take a refreshing dip, just like in the skerries. Feel tranquillity in the beautiful, late-summer warm pool. Fit in an energizing and empowering visit to the gym. Enjoy a treatment that relaxes or revives, depending on one’s state of mind. Take a Swedish massage, delight in a beauty treatment, be challenged by personal trainers, visit a doctor of traditional Chinese medicine or stretch out with a chiropractor.

Reviews for Lydmar Hotel
Fantastic boutique hotel ideally located. Very nice service. Excellent breakfast walking distance for major sightseeing. Ask for a room overseeing the harbour. Although spa at grand hotel is available the fact that there is no on site gym and spa is a minus

This is a very charming hotel and in the Main Street with great bar and people watching as well. The staff is cute, fabulous and very helpful. The rooms are decorated beautifully. Kind of safari feel to them. Great blow dryer and they have a flat iron too!!! No air conditioning. The restaurant is beautiful and very homey. Great food too and the staff there was wonderful and very engaging. LOVED everything!!!
It's a bit tricky reviewing Lydmar Hotel. It's my second time in the hotel but my first review. Starting with the positive aspects: It's perfectly located, next to Grand Hotel and in easy reach to everything in the center of Stockholm. The hotel is quite, despite the loud music playing next to the hotel. The entrance is beautiful with fantastic framed photos and the front desk is very helpful and energetic. My main concern is the price of a room in the hotel and what is included in the price. The price is almost double what you would pay for an OK, nice hotel room in a less fancy neighborhood in Stockholm. In addition, but of less importance: the waitresses serving the breakfast seemed very stressed despite that there were hardly any guests and were not very helpful.

We loved the hotel. Charming. Had a great outdoor bar..inside restaurant with great food. We had a large room with a sittng area..however our friends ended up with a much smaller room and were not happy about it..so make sure to ask for one of their larger rooms. The bathrooms were very modern and all the toiletries they gave were very nice.

I stayed three nights and loved the entire experience! Hotel is very well located, just opposite the water and right next the Nationalmuseet. The design and decoration throughout the hotel is great! It feels like being at a private house of friends with taste (and money!) because there are many different corners and rooms where you feel comfortable and invited to sit. My room (414) was top: spacious, quiet, overlooking the water, great bathroom, comfortable sofa and canapés, classy stylish yet contemporary design. Bed is excellent. Bathroom amenities are super. Little bottls of water are offered every night. Breakfast was very good and elaborate. Service is excellent. Always friendly, helpful and efficient, never pretentious or distant. And often with a smile! The restaurant, on the first floor, and also the outside restaurant-bar, as well as the bar on the street side, are great: quite busy at times with a nice crowd, good food and super service. Once again a Small Luxury Hotel beyond expectations! Said differently: I can only speak in superlatives of this hotel. When I go back to Stockholm, that's the place where I'll go back. Last time we stayed in Skeppsholmen hotel, also a design boutique hotel, but Lydmar is truly a better pick. And I went to check out the next door Grand Hotel, and although sometimes I love the grand palaces, I also want them to be contemporary and modern in style. Not the case here. So also Grand Hotel wouldn't do it compared to Lydmar. One negative: you can't switch off the airco in your room, but you can obviously regulate the temperature.
