Lydmar Hotel is a luxurious boutique hotel with uniquely furnished rooms. It is located in the city centre of Stockholm with views over the water and Royal Palace. We like to keep it simple and straightforward in a relaxed and informal environment and believe than an abundance of impressions. All the room show beautiful view over the city of Stockholm. Some of them face the Royal Palace and the harbor others have windows overlooking the terrace, the park and Strandvägen.

Relax in a sauna and take a refreshing dip, just like in the skerries. Feel tranquillity in the beautiful, late-summer warm pool. Fit in an energizing and empowering visit to the gym. Take a Swedish massage, delight in a beauty treatment, be challenged by personal trainers, visit a doctor of traditional Chinese medicine or stretch out with a chiropractor.

The hotel is a good size - large enough for all you need but with a very good personal service. Design and decor very good with some interesting art works. Service great and nothing too much trouble. You know you are being looked after well when you are leaving before breakfast is served and the staff are making sure you have something to take with you. Beautiful location - certainly take some running gear as too good to miss

Really funky hotel located close to the water. Rooms, service and breakfast was really really good. Concierge were really helpful throughout our stay. A bit far from Stockholm central, maybe because it was freezing, but definitely walkable in summer. Btw, please visit the photograph museum if you have time.

We stayed at the Lydmar hotel for 4 days before embarking on a Baltic Cruise. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel is located off a Main Street along the harbor it is easy to walk to many destinations such as museums, the famous City Hall and the train station. Excellent breakfasts were included and dinner was delicious and expertly prepared.

This boutique hotel was a perfect place to stay for four nights in Stockholm. Like another review, the rooms and space feel like you are a guest at a family mansion, no cookie cutter hotel feel at all. The front desk service was friendly and helpful, showing us how to use the shower and a tour of the room. Breakfast was served in what felt like a warm and comfortable living room, with the staff remembering your coffee preference. Quality through and through. Trendy club feel at night was fun, but could not hear in our room.

My husband and I recently stayed at the lydmar for 2 nights during our trip to Stockholm in late august. I choice the hotel because it was rated as one of the best hotels on trip advisor. I, however, felt that it did not meet up to the standards. My husband and I travel frequently and we have stayed at both luxury and boutique hotels. First off, when we arrived, we were never given a formal introduction to the hotel. There was no one to bring our luggage up the stairs to our room so after an overnight flight my husband had to carry it up !. There was no comment on the restaurant In the hotel, no breakfast hours, no information about the surrounding area nor how we get the reception desk on phone from the room. Yes, it seems very simple but we had no idea that you had to press 9 to be connected to front desk (most hotels you press 0). I personally had to go through the phones last call list to call reception. Second, we had no idea that there was no air conditioning!. I've read many reviews online but I have never come across that hotels in Stockholm don't have A/C. So we spend the first night with the windows open and could barely sleep from the noise from the streets. Fortunately we were moved into another room the second night. I would have hoped that one of the employees would have told us that when we checked in, especially considering that we were foreigners from a non Scandinavian country. Or even offered to bring up a fan! Third, in our new room we thought the shower was broken because we weren't informed that we had to pull the knob down on the shower to get it to work. Again, it seems very simple but we were not given that information. For the amount we paid to stay at the lydmar hotel, we were extremely disappointed in the hotel and it's service. It is the little things that you tend to remember and it's the little things that separate a good hotel from an excellent one., especially one that ranked so high on trip advisor. The customer service experience was definitely different in this hotel and I'm not sure if it applies to the country as a whole. If you can swing it, opt to spend a little extra and stay at the grand hotel next door where I am sure the customer service is worth the money. If I deter even one person from staying here, then my review was worth the effort. The only good thing is the location !! And the food at the restaurant which was quite good (get the steak tartare ) for Lunch at least.
