After a busy week in Helsinki, the trip to Stockholm was purely for fun. We found the hotel here on Trip Advisor. It's a great boutique hotel, right on the water next to the National Museum. It's a reasonable walk into the Normalm and Ostermalm neighborhoods, Skeppsholmen island, and a quick ferry ride across to Slussen or Djurgarden. The service was impecable. It was just what we needed for some downtime between two meetings.

Whoever did the interior design of this hotel is amazing! Great chic ambience with interesting art and artifacts all all around; not stuffy at all. We got a large street room which spacious, had tall ceilings and was quiet. The location can't be beat...right across the river from Gamla Stan and the royal palace and easy walking to tons of restaurants and shopping. Service was brisk and friendly. We loved this place. Highly recommended.

And this is considered to be a 5 star hotel? What a joke! In our rooms the breakfast was included, however, fried eggs were chargeable! Also, not much variety! The stairs leading to the reception were dirty and dusty! There was a problem with the bathroom sink and they couldn't fix it for two days! The rooms were quite dark even if all the lights were on. The interior design of the rooms was tasteless for me and some items that were a source of dust could easily be missed out! I don't know, so many points to mention that I don't know where to start and where to finish! Overall, not what I expected!
